  Pros

  Unlike other products I've used, this one applies smoothly and absorbs well. I bought it at an Aveda store for around $33 (for about 200ml).

  Cons

  The scent isn't something you'd rave about when using it.

  Tip

  For permed hair, after shampooing, slightly dry your hair and apply a small amount while it's still damp. Let it absorb, then blow-dry. Once your hair is completely dry, apply a bit more to the wavy areas to revitalize your perm and make it look fuller.

  Pros

  It absorbs quickly and feels lightweight. After application, there's less pilling than other products.

  Cons

  On its own, it couldn't prevent my hair from drying out. I do have very dry hair, but even after applying it once to damp hair and once again after drying, my hair still feels dry. Also, on days when I use this product, even if I rinse my hair with just water before washing, it lathers up. Is this happening to anyone else? If you've experienced this, please leave a comment. I'm not sure if there's something wrong with the product... I bought it because my hairstylist strongly recommended it, but the ingredients and effects are both mediocre. I really want to know what's causing the lather.

  Pros

  It absorbs well without feeling sticky! It moisturizes while enhancing shine and curl definition. There's a noticeable difference when using a curling iron after applying this product - the curls look beautiful and hold well! The difference between using it and not using it is undeniable, so I always bring the full-size bottle when traveling. It gives that salon-styled look, and I often get asked if I've just had my hair done. I'll definitely repurchase - Aveda is love!

  Cons

  Like with any essence, you need to apply just the right amount. It's crucial to apply it only to damp hair for the best results. It's a bit disappointing that it doesn't have essence-like properties. However, for natural-looking curls, nothing beats this product. Although it's pricey, I use small amounts and it lasts a long time - I can use one bottle for 8-9 months. There's a Be Curly Enhancer Emulsion and a separate serum, but I use both. I wonder why they made two similar products though.

  Tip

  The entire Aveda Be Curly line is excellent at adding volume at the roots and defining curls. For even better results, use the Be Curly hair mask before conditioning when washing your hair! It's highly recommended for permed hair and those who use curling irons. If you use it together with Aveda's Smoothing Fluid, you'll get twice the shine! I'm trying all Aveda products one by one, and they're all tempting. Be Curly is great for curl definition, Smooth Infusion for moisture and manageability, and Invati for strengthening hair. Each product excels in its specific role, which is why I love them so much!
