  Pros

  Being Aveda, it has a natural scent. I like it, but it might be a matter of personal preference. I bought it without high expectations, just to use before drying my hair, and I'm satisfied. I use Aveda products thinking they might be less harmful, and this curl cream provides natural hold with a bit of nourishment, making it perfect for daily use without any burden.

  Cons

  There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. I'm using it well and I'm happy with it.

  Pros

  I received this as a gift and have been using it, but I can't say it's particularly impressive. I'm just using it on my wavy hair, but I don't really notice it enhancing my curls. I suppose it might help prevent some damage. The scent is mild, slightly herbal, and not unpleasant. However, looking at the ingredients, I'm disappointed to see quite a few less-than-ideal components.

  Cons

  There's hardly any difference between when I use this product and when I don't. If you apply too much, it tends to clump, so you need to use just the right amount.

  It really holds curls incredibly well. I've repurchased it. The scent is Aveda's signature herbal fragrance! Even a small amount effectively defines curls.

  Cons

  So far, I haven't found any major drawbacks, but you do need to be careful with the amount you use.

  The scent is not artificial, but rather refreshing with a herbal note. Not sure if you'll use it, but it's unisex so men could use it too. I bought it on recommendation from my hair salon and used it when my perm started to loosen. I've been using it daily lately, and it definitely revives the perm. I'm super lazy and never style my hair while drying, so my perm was loosening quickly. But now it's in this slightly relaxed perm state? which I love. It's just right - that perfect perm look after the initial tightness has softened into something more natural. I'm really satisfied. It's not sticky, so you can use it without worry. It's a bit pricey, but I apply it generously to my damp hair before drying. It spreads naturally without any stickiness or clumping.

  Cons

  First off, it's true that the price is a bit steep for a hair essence. It's a bit burdensome to keep buying and using it consistently. Also, it's designed to stand with the opening at the bottom, but I'm not sure if it's just mine, but sometimes a little leaks out of the opening. So I store it lying down, but my mother keeps standing it up. While it's an essence for curls, I wish it had more moisturizing properties. For my severely damaged hair, this alone isn't enough, so I use a hair oil after drying.

  Tip

  For those who are diligent! If you use this and blow dry your hair well, your perm should last longer. Or when your perm is almost completely loosened, use this and dry your hair properly to revive natural waves!

  This has been my go-to product for ages. I've tried many other brands, but I always come back to this one. It's not sticky at all, and I love the signature Aveda scent when applying. After towel-drying my hair, I use it to shape my curls, and as it dries, it brings my natural waves to life.

  The only downside I can think of is that it's not exactly budget-friendly.

  It seems to enhance curl retention. Personally, I love the fragrance too. I apply it right after washing my hair while it's still wet. Since I have long hair, I use about a nickel-sized amount. It's not sticky and feels refreshing - better than other brand's hair products in this regard.

  The curls are really well-maintained and look hydrated. I used to use an oil-type essence, but by the afternoon it would get sticky and develop an unpleasant smell. After trying this at the salon, I switched to it, and so far, I haven't found anything else that holds curls this well with such a nice feel. It truly maintains natural-looking curls all day long. As for Aveda's signature scent, since I use a lot of other herbal-scented products, it didn't bother me.

  It's expensive. I used it without knowing the ingredients, but now I'm concerned because it contains many potential allergens.
