It naturally brightens the skin with a pink hue and the effect lasts for a long time. The staying power is excellent. These days, with mask-wearing, it's great to finish with just this product as it doesn't feel stuffy. It feels a bit dry, so it might be better suited for use in summer. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAug 4, 2021
It absorbs beautifully with a rich texture. After application, my skin feels moisturized and supple. The color is also pretty, giving me a natural, radiant complexion. I saw the ingredients and thought, 'No way,' but after reading reviews here about blemishes, I was skeptical. Sure enough... On the first day of use, I got blemishes (one on my forehead, one on my eyebrow, one on my cheek). It wasn't too bad, so I thought, 'Maybe it's just because I didn't sleep well?' But when I applied it again the next day, my face got seriously worse. Those with super sensitive skin absolutely can't use this. Sigh... It applies so nicely, but to cause blemishes? What a shame. It absorbs well even with a quick application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 20, 2020
- As someone who only uses brightening moisturizer for skin makeup, I pay the most attention to this product! - When choosing a brightening moisturizer, my criteria are: non-sticky, not too oily, natural-looking tone, no caking or breaking down, no need for touch-ups, and a pretty color. I've tried various products based on these conditions. - I received a sample, tried it, and purchased it the very next day. - First off, the color is gorgeous - it gives a lively glow (21 Cool). My mom (23 Warm), who rarely wears makeup, occasionally applies this very thinly for important days and loves it, saying it's not overwhelming. - I apply it in the morning without touch-ups. It does break down a bit in the evening due to mask-wearing, but there's no caking, floating, or clumping - issues that would make me never use a product again. - I dislike stickiness, and this cream has a slightly powdery finish while still being moisturizing. It's not too matte, just the right amount of softness, which I love. - When applied, it doesn't look like I'm wearing makeup, but rather like my own skin, just more radiant. It's truly lightweight and wonderful. I stopped using foundation as it felt too heavy on my skin, but this brightening moisturizer feels genuinely light and fresh. - I'm saddened by some of the negative reviews, as I've been using this for two tubes straight and it's become my holy grail product... - I think those who prefer light, sheer makeup, don't mind if some blemishes show through, and want an overall brightening effect would be as satisfied as I am. I occasionally use a small amount of concealer for blemishes when doing my makeup (always The Saem Pore Concealer). - I haven't found any downsides while using this product. The key is to apply a very small amount in thin layers, patting it in. This creates a natural, clean finish without any special tools. Using a puff actually makes the puff absorb the product instead of applying it to the skin. Always apply thinly! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAug 26, 2020
I tried out two samples. As soon as you apply it, it instantly brightens your complexion to a lovely pink tone. At first, you might wonder what's changed, but your skin subtly transforms to a brighter, more radiant look in a natural way. The ingredients are disappointing and the price isn't great either. Unless you already have perfect skin, I wouldn't feel comfortable going out with just this on. Plus, once you wear a mask, it quickly wears off due to heat, leaving you bare-faced. It worked well as a base before foundation. Even if my foundation fades, this product provides a nice backup color. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAug 22, 2020
Great for a natural brightening effect with a pink undertone when you want a subtle glow. While the natural look is nice, it's disappointing that there's hardly any coverage. You need to be careful with the amount applied - use too much and you'll look too pale, so blend it well. It tends to settle into the creases around the nose and eyelids. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJul 23, 2020
It creates a natural base that works well on days when my skin is in good condition. There are too many harmful ingredients and it's quite expensive. Being from Yves Saint Laurent, only the packaging is pretty, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMar 19, 2020
- Absorbs beautifully It applies smoothly without any pilling, gliding on effortlessly. It feels lightweight and goes on in a thin layer. - Gorgeous packaging As expected from an Yves Saint Laurent product, the packaging is truly stunning and luxurious. - Brightens complexion It evens skin tone naturally without being overwhelming. Perfect for a no-makeup makeup look. It lifts your complexion by about half a shade. - Weak brightening effect While the natural look is a plus, the skin-evening effect is so subtle it becomes a drawback. It does brighten, but that's about it... The brightening moisturizer effect is minimal. - Odd color It's a pink-toned CC cream, but it's such a true pink that it almost gives a... porcine hue? - Drying While not severely drying, it does tend to be on the drier side. - Low coverage It doesn't really cover blemishes or skin imperfections. It's really just for evening out skin tone. Overall, it doesn't seem to live up to its price point. If you're not going for a bare-faced look, I'd recommend using this product as a base and then applying another foundation on top, rather than using it alone. Also, I've tried the purple shade of the same product, and I think I prefer that one. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 30, 2020
It brightened my complexion and looked natural, which I loved. I recommend this to anyone wanting a radiant skin tone. It wasn't hydrating, made my skin feel dry, and I noticed a few blemishes appearing on my face. I would recommend this to those with non-sensitive, oily skin types. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinNov 6, 2019
Prevents darkening and naturally brightens even yellow-toned skin with its rose color. It adheres well, so it doesn't transfer onto clothes. The powder-like finish enhances makeup longevity. Its lightweight liquid texture makes it suitable for both oily and dry skin types. On days when I'm too lazy to apply foundation, I just use this. People around me compliment my skin, saying it looks fair (in a natural way that doesn't look obviously applied). None. Those with dry skin might find it too matte. In that case, applying a more thorough skincare routine beforehand should solve the issue. When applying, use a very small amount! Don't get greedy thinking more will make you fairer! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinOct 23, 2019
It applies so thinly and naturally, with amazing adherence. I wore this to the dentist once, and even when the doctor touched my face during the checkup, it didn't budge at all. Even when it fades, it does so beautifully. As someone who prefers a more hydrating formula, I find it a bit dry to apply directly. I use a damp beauty sponge to apply it, and sometimes mix it with a moisturizing primer. The coverage is quite sheer, but I bought it mainly for evening out my complexion, so that's fine for me. I squeeze out about a fingernail-sized amount on the back of my hand, then dab it with my fingers on different areas of my face, except the nose. Then I blend it out with a beauty sponge. For the nose, I use what's left on the sponge. If you're worried about accentuating texture, use a pore-filling primer first. I use the Banila Co primer.
