I tried a sample I received somehow - can't remember if I bought something or just got it for free. It's great for evening out skin tone and brightening. You can easily apply it like a CC cream for a casual look, or use it as a makeup base for a more polished appearance. It has a matte, powdery finish. It might be a bit drying for those with dry skin. Also, since it has a rosy tint, it probably won't suit those who dislike rose-colored bases. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 28, 2021
It naturally brightens the skin with a pink hue and the effect lasts for a long time. The staying power is excellent. These days, with mask-wearing, it's great to finish with just this product as it doesn't feel stuffy. It feels a bit dry, so it might be better suited for use in summer. - kh*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 6, 2021
As someone with fair skin, I love how this evens out my complexion with just one application. It's perfect for a light, natural makeup look. The price is a bit steep, and the product size is on the smaller side. Other than that, I have no complaints. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 9, 2021
I don't have blemish-prone skin, but rather a yellowish-white complexion. Being in my 30s, I have some age spots near my cheekbones and large pores in the butterfly zone of my nose and front cheeks. However, I rarely use foundation as it feels heavy and suffocating, plus I'm not very skilled at applying it. Before the pandemic, I used to wear the Kyun Mi Ri compact (Pink Latte) for a light coverage. Currently, due to COVID, I've been using Eckmel Bodongbodong, a lightweight and refreshing brightening moisturizer with sun protection for everyday use. (Bodongbodong is currently being reformulated, so I'm waiting indefinitely for its return!) Since there's nothing in this world that can replace the powdery finish of Bodongbodong, I looked for the next best thing - a firming and hydrating tone-up cream. That's how I found this product. When I apply it lightly after my skincare routine, focusing mainly on hydration, it doesn't break down messily. Instead, it gives my skin a healthy glow and a firmer appearance. I wouldn't recommend this for those with very dry skin who absolutely need a solid skincare base. You might see it break down quite messily. It's meant to be applied as if you're barely doing any skincare at all, so when it mixes with your natural oils, it breaks down into a pretty glow. And for some reason, for the first 1-2 minutes after application, it burns like I've applied a tiger grass cream... Is it just me? Why does this happen? - kj*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAug 5, 2021
It absorbs beautifully with a rich texture. After application, my skin feels moisturized and supple. The color is also pretty, giving me a natural, radiant complexion. I saw the ingredients and thought, 'No way,' but after reading reviews here about blemishes, I was skeptical. Sure enough... On the first day of use, I got blemishes (one on my forehead, one on my eyebrow, one on my cheek). It wasn't too bad, so I thought, 'Maybe it's just because I didn't sleep well?' But when I applied it again the next day, my face got seriously worse. Those with super sensitive skin absolutely can't use this. Sigh... It applies so nicely, but to cause blemishes? What a shame. It absorbs well even with a quick application. - le******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityJun 15, 2021
Color? There's nothing good to say, but they're making me write at least 20 characters... This is the devil's cosmetic! With just a week left before my wedding, I tried it and my skin completely freaked out. I even developed contact dermatitis! It's like Satan in a bottle. I'm devastated. Now I'm worried about how I'll look for my wedding. If you have super sensitive skin, stay far away from this! Make sure to patch test before using... - qk****Combination SkinRecommendedJun 13, 2021
A few years ago, I tried a sample of the same product in lavender color and left a review. The product was good, but the ingredients and price... I hesitated to spend my own money on it. But I ended up buying it anyway! As I've gotten older, foundation doesn't sit as well as before, and since COVID, I barely wear makeup due to masks. I needed something to make me look radiant without being affected by mask humidity... and this is exactly what I thought of. It's not a high-coverage product, but it brightens your complexion beautifully. The texture is light and velvety, doesn't leave a greasy feeling, and the brightening effect lasts long. While the gorgeous packaging of high-end brands like Chanel or YSL isn't really my style, it still makes me feel good. The scent is lovely too! The regular price is expensive, but various online stores offer small discounts and coupons, so it's not too bad. Since I use it sparingly, it doesn't run out as quickly as skincare products. As for the ingredients... the number of potentially harmful ones might be shocking, but sometimes the user experience matters more than the ingredient list. I don't mind it since I'm prone to blemishes anyway. It can be drying for some, though I don't find it dry. I love how light and powdery it feels, but it might emphasize dead skin cells a bit. Well, who cares? It's not like anyone's examining my face under a microscope! - pm*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 20, 2020
- As someone who only uses brightening moisturizer for skin makeup, I pay the most attention to this product! - When choosing a brightening moisturizer, my criteria are: non-sticky, not too oily, natural-looking tone, no caking or breaking down, no need for touch-ups, and a pretty color. I've tried various products based on these conditions. - I received a sample, tried it, and purchased it the very next day. - First off, the color is gorgeous - it gives a lively glow (21 Cool). My mom (23 Warm), who rarely wears makeup, occasionally applies this very thinly for important days and loves it, saying it's not overwhelming. - I apply it in the morning without touch-ups. It does break down a bit in the evening due to mask-wearing, but there's no caking, floating, or clumping - issues that would make me never use a product again. - I dislike stickiness, and this cream has a slightly powdery finish while still being moisturizing. It's not too matte, just the right amount of softness, which I love. - When applied, it doesn't look like I'm wearing makeup, but rather like my own skin, just more radiant. It's truly lightweight and wonderful. I stopped using foundation as it felt too heavy on my skin, but this brightening moisturizer feels genuinely light and fresh. - I'm saddened by some of the negative reviews, as I've been using this for two tubes straight and it's become my holy grail product... - I think those who prefer light, sheer makeup, don't mind if some blemishes show through, and want an overall brightening effect would be as satisfied as I am. I occasionally use a small amount of concealer for blemishes when doing my makeup (always The Saem Pore Concealer). - I haven't found any downsides while using this product. The key is to apply a very small amount in thin layers, patting it in. This creates a natural, clean finish without any special tools. Using a puff actually makes the puff absorb the product instead of applying it to the skin. Always apply thinly! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 18, 2020
If your face has an extremely yellow undertone and you feel like you absolutely need color correction, you might want to give this a try. It didn't cause any skin breakouts or reactions. I usually use shade 21 in base products, but this one makes my skin look reddish and slightly darker, making me question if it's really necessary. I believe lighter bases look more natural, but considering both the application and texture, I'm not convinced this is worth using. It feels like I've chosen the wrong brightening moisturizer - it clumps and somehow makes my complexion look dull. Honestly, even if it were given to me for free, I probably wouldn't use it. The difference is quite noticeable to the naked eye, but it doesn't show up well in photos. I've attached several pictures for reference, but please keep this in mind. - 20******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessAug 26, 2020
I tried out two samples. As soon as you apply it, it instantly brightens your complexion to a lovely pink tone. At first, you might wonder what's changed, but your skin subtly transforms to a brighter, more radiant look in a natural way. The ingredients are disappointing and the price isn't great either. Unless you already have perfect skin, I wouldn't feel comfortable going out with just this on. Plus, once you wear a mask, it quickly wears off due to heat, leaving you bare-faced. It worked well as a base before foundation. Even if my foundation fades, this product provides a nice backup color.
