I've tried many foundations, and honestly, I think department store ones are worth the price. Maybe it's because I haven't found the perfect match for me yet, but I haven't found anything as satisfying as Shu Uemura's foundation in terms of beautiful color, how it absorbs, and staying power. It's also lightweight - definitely worth the higher price tag! After using it for long periods, I found the way it breaks down a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJan 13, 2019
The coverage was great, and I loved how it glided on smoothly like water. It absorbs beautifully into the skin. Unfortunately, it doesn't last long, breaks down unattractively, and looks too matte on the skin. I found that applying it with a dense brush helped improve its longevity somewhat. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 10, 2019
The absorbs well and coverage are both excellent! It stays moisturized even in dry weather, and as time passes, it mixes with your skin's natural oils, making your complexion look great. The best part is how it smoothly fills in pores, earning its reputation as a 'pore-perfecting foundation'! While it has good adherence, finishing with powder can give an even more matte look. It also has minimal oxidation, so it breaks down beautifully throughout the day. For those with oily skin, it might lead to caking or break down more quickly. This foundation has the perfect hydration level for use from late autumn to early spring. It has a yellow base, but it's not overly yellow, instead giving a bright, radiant finish to your complexion! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 29, 2018
The color is quite versatile. It doesn't set too quickly, so it's forgiving if you apply it casually. It tends to emphasize pores and dead skin cells quite noticeably. While it looks decent right after application, the way it breaks down over time is disappointing. If you prefer a yellow undertone, this might work for you. However, if you're looking for a more neutral complexion, you might want to consider purchasing a different product. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJun 5, 2018
When applied, it feels moisturizing and gives my face a beautiful glow. As someone who's stressed about pores, I'm happy to say it covers them well too! Unfortunately, the staying power isn't great. And when it starts to wear off, it fades in a way that makes my skin look dull. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 22, 2018
The pre-renewal version was absolutely fantastic! It not only covered pores beautifully but also made my skin look flawless even when sebum appeared. I loved it so much that I used it exclusively for 7-8 years! After the renewal, it's a complete letdown. It fails to cover pores, and when sebum appears on my nose, it creates a bumpy, unsightly texture. Within a couple of hours, my face looks noticeably darker. The foundation breaks down quickly, leaving an oily, messy appearance - it's terrible! Previously, half a pump was enough for my entire face, but now it's become so thick that I need a full pump. I'm baffled by the decision to reformulate! The longevity is awful, and when it breaks down, it looks incredibly messy. Touch-ups are absolutely necessary! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMar 28, 2018
I've been using the Pore Foundation for 4 years, even before the renewal, going through over 8 bottles. As a warm-toned person with shade 22, I love natural makeup, so the 774 shade was perfect for me. Even when it would break down, it would blend nicely with my natural oils. Although I'm not a fan of the renewed version, mixing it with something like Nuxe oil helps it last longer without pilling. To be honest, the pre-renewal Pore Foundation suited me much better. The color became lighter than the previous 774 after the renewal, and it doesn't wear as gracefully throughout the day. That's why I've now purchased the slightly darker 764 shade (which isn't available in Korea) duty-free, hoping it'll be a better match for my complexion. Even if the foundation color seems too yellow at first, it adjusts beautifully to match your skin tone over time. For those with yellow undertones, using pink-based shades (starting with 5) might actually make the foundation look more noticeable. I find that shades starting with 7 tend to blend more naturally. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 20, 2018
There's not a single improvement after the reformulation... Not one! The original version 774 of the pore-blurring foundation used to cover naturally like my own skin and had a semi-matte finish that didn't get oily. Its best feature was how beautifully it wore off, but all of this is gone with the reformulation. The color is now too light and doesn't blend well, and it's become completely matte. Even with my oily skin, it emphasizes flakes and pores terribly as it wears off. Everyone I know also thinks it's worse after the reformulation. Why on earth did they change it like this? Can't they please bring back the previous version? I still haven't found a foundation that compares to the old one... I feel like I'm just wasting money trying to find a replacement. It might work for some skin types, but those who prioritize how a foundation wears off should probably avoid it. If you're interested, definitely test it out and observe how it wears throughout the day before buying. It's not exactly cheap, after all. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 4, 2018
This is my holy grail foundation! As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I've switched to this from Estée Lauder. It tends to break down a bit easily and there's some pilling. That means touch-ups are a must... It works best when you're diligent with your skincare routine and use it with a primer and setting spray. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinOct 28, 2017
I recently repurchased this product after it was renewed. Compared to the foundation I usually use, this one is more hydrating, so I plan to use it during the fall and winter seasons. The petal brush works really well with it. It's easier to control and apply makeup quickly than I expected. It also covers my pores nicely. The finish is both dewy and powdery. The coverage isn't bad, but the longevity could be better. When it starts to break down, my pores become more visible, so touch-ups are necessary...
