It gradually brightens the skin and is convenient to apply and carry around. If your skin is dry, it tends to flake off later. After applying and as time passes, this sunscreen develops a distinctive odor that isn't particularly pleasant. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 13, 2021
The pink base gives a radiant look. It's great as a substitute for a brightening moisturizer. It feels a bit sticky when applied. Due to its oiliness, it might not be ideal for those with oily skin. - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedApr 19, 2020
For those with extremely oily skin among oily skin types: I urgently needed sunscreen, so I rushed into the first Etude House store I saw and bought this product on sale, intending to use it only once or twice. Honestly, I was quite surprised. As described, it's a sunscreen that doubles as a makeup base, naturally brightening my skin from shade 23 to 21. I thought it wouldn't be too overwhelming to wear on its own. This made me realize what they mean by 'natural brightening'. Maybe because I bought it without expectations, but I ended up loving this sunscreen way more than I anticipated! After being outside for about 4 hours and returning home, I noticed the staying power had decreased. More importantly, the oil production was not just noticeable, but quite excessive. While it's true that my extremely oily skin requires powder with any product I use, even with powder applied as usual, the visible oil buildup was significant. The way it broke down wasn't graceful either, leaving my skin looking more greasy than glowy. If you have oily skin, I definitely recommend using this and following up with powder or a setting spray! Personally, I found using a setting spray to be particularly effective, giving a sense of the makeup being locked in place. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 1, 2020
I highly recommend this product. I've been using it well, but unfortunately it's been discontinued. I was satisfied and using it happily, but it's such a shame it's been discontinued. - il********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 22, 2019
I loved how it wasn't too oily, allowing for a matte finish without any shine. It might be too low in oil content for those with dry skin, potentially causing flakiness and dead skin cells to appear. As someone with combination skin, I'd recommend mixing it with a bit of essence or toner for dry areas, and applying it as is on oilier parts for best results. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 30, 2019
1. Even though I chose the less whitening option of the two types, it still significantly brightens the skin. The brightening effect is definitely noticeable. 2. It applies smoothly without pilling (the texture is similar to sunscreen) and quickly leaves the skin feeling velvety. 3. Since it's a makeup base, it seems to provide a slight skin-perfecting effect as well. 4. It maintains its initial state for about 4 hours. 1. The product itself has a BB cream color, but when applied, it gives a slightly grayish, dull white appearance. 2. If you only use this product, your face might look too ghostly. To achieve a more natural look, you need to mix it with an emulsion or other products. 3. It breaks down suddenly all at once. If you apply it in the morning, by lunchtime it becomes very oily. Mixing ratio: Emulsion to brightening moisturizer = 2:3 - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 10, 2019
I've been using this consistently because it's gentle and doesn't irritate my eyes. The brightening moisturizer effect is just right, which makes it even better! While it doesn't cause blemishes, it does have a somewhat rich feel. Not recommended for oily or acne-prone skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 15, 2019
1. Works well for dry and super sensitive skin 2. No eye irritation 3. Naturally evens skin tone 4. High sun protection factor 5. Affordable price 6. Absorbs reasonably well 1. Seems to have been discontinued recently when I tried to purchase it... 2. Insufficient for cleansing with foam cleanser alone. (Double cleansing is necessary, but it was generally fine since I always do a double cleanse after applying sunscreen and makeup) - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 11, 2019
This product is absolutely amazing! It's perfect for my super oily T-zone, leaving my forehead and nose wonderfully matte. I'm so thrilled! Since my skin became ultra-sensitive, I couldn't wear foundation, so I've been using this every day. It's fantastic... It keeps me matte, and with just a touch of powder, the staying power is incredible. I love how it brightens my complexion too. What's really impressive is that a sunscreen can provide coverage - it's mind-blowing! While it doesn't fully conceal, it does an excellent job at covering light blemishes. I highly recommend everyone to try this! If you apply more than two layers, it tends to pill a bit. Also, it's disappointing that even on powdered areas, when oil comes through, it can bunch up and separate. Since it's a mattifying product, layering it can make your skin feel quite dry. For best results, don't apply too much of your emulsion. Instead, apply it lightly for hydration, then gently pat this sunscreen on with a puff. This technique really helps achieve that matte finish. The more you pat with the puff, the better the staying power. Plus, applying with a puff seems to enhance its coverage! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedApr 27, 2019
I love how it applies smoothly without feeling greasy, even when used alone. The natural brightening effect and clean finish are so appealing that I'm on my umpteenth bottle. There's not really anything to complain about, except that the scent can be a bit bothersome at times.
