  I achieved actual brightening and anti-inflammatory effects when using this product alongside others recommended by the company (like those containing niacinamide). My blemishes visibly faded and my complexion became brighter. The formula was richer than expected, providing a decent level of hydration.

  Cons

  The scent might be unfamiliar, but it shouldn't be an issue for those who aren't sensitive to fragrances. Product residue tends to accumulate and harden around the opening over time, which can lead to waste and inconvenience during use. The absorption isn't the best, so it may pill.   Pros

  - Affordable price Typical of The Ordinary's products~ I liked that I could use a Vitamin C product inexpensively. - Blemish reduction I saw a very slight effect. Just a tiny bit..

  Cons

  - Texture, feel, and scent I consider myself someone who doesn't fuss about the feel if it's good for my skin... but this one is really not great. It's not terribly off-putting, but... it's thick, doesn't absorb well, and the fragrance isn't great either, so I really don't feel like using it. It also pills a lot.

  Pros

  I ended up with severe brown marks after squeezing my acne by myself... While researching products good for pigmentation, I learned about The Ordinary through a YouTuber and switched my skincare routine to their line. The YouTuber highly recommended it and said they saw real results, so I bought it with high hopes.

  Cons

  First of all, the smell is really awful... I'm not sure if it's supposed to smell like this, but I've never used a skincare product with such an unpleasant scent before. Despite that, I used it hoping for good results, but forget about how it absorbs - it pills terribly! No matter how much I pat it in, it just doesn't work...

  Tip

  Unfortunately, I stopped using it after only about 3 days.
