Being slightly acidic, it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight after washing, which I absolutely adore. I highly recommend it for oily or blemish-prone skin! While the foam isn't super rich, it feels gentle enough not to irritate the skin, and after rinsing, my skin texture feels more refined. It's also nearly fragrance-free, so I'd recommend it to those with fragrance sensitivities too!
ConsSo far, I've been using it without any issues. However, when my skin is feeling super sensitive, it can cause a bit of irritation. It's best to avoid it during those times.
TipIt doesn't remove full makeup very well. For makeup removal, I'd suggest using a different cleanser.

Fragrance: While personal preferences vary, I absolutely adore the scent in the Effaclar line. Honestly, I'll repurchase this product just for the fragrance alone! 2. Lather: For a low pH cleanser, it produces a surprisingly rich and dense foam! It's not as foamy as a bar soap, but it's quite impressive. 3. Ingredients: Perhaps because it's formulated for sensitive skin, the ingredient list is concise, which is reassuring. Some might be wary of the added fragrance, as the concern with fragrances often stems from the lack of transparency about their composition. However, considering this is made by La Roche-Posay, one of Europe's largest cosmetics companies, I believe it's been thoroughly tested and is safe to use.
ConsLike most low pH cleansing foams, it feels a bit slippery on the skin.
TipDon't buy this at Olive Young. You can purchase it for under 20,000 won from French cosmetics direct purchase sites like Beauty Plus or Parisb2b.

Unfortunately, it made my skin itchy and caused breakouts. Cleansing effectiveness: Below average. Can't really tell if it's cleaning. Feels slippery. Doesn't remove sunscreen well. Texture: Gel-type, slippery, doesn't lather much. Recommended skin type: Maybe for those who suit low pH products + dry skin? Definitely not for me. Purchase price: 23,400 won during an Olive Young sale. Volume: 200ml
ConsIf you have extremely sensitive skin prone to reactions, absolutely never buy this! Also avoid if low pH doesn't suit your skin. It immediately caused my skin to react, turning red and blotchy with blemishes popping up. Blemishes: Skin reacted terribly. Not recommended for: Sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin, or those who don't suit low pH products.
TipIf you feel something's off after using it, stop immediately! Even if everyone says it's great, continuing to use a product that feels wrong will wreck your skin. Trust me, I learned the hard way...

It's a lightweight gel type that lathers decently well. Being slightly acidic, I thought it would help balance my skin. While its cleansing effectiveness isn't extraordinary, I've been using it as my morning cleanser. If you prefer a light texture, you might like this.
ConsWhen I bought this, my skin was going through a rough patch with lots of blemishes, so I didn't see any remarkable improvements for my acne. Coming back to write this review, I'm quite surprised by the ingredient list. In any case, I probably won't repurchase it.
TipThis product is perfect for morning cleansing or for days when you haven't applied sunscreen and need a gentle wash.

It's the only cleanser I'm using now. Being slightly acidic, it feels gentle, and after washing, my skin looks smooth and healthy.
ConsThe price is a bit on the higher side, which can be a burden. While the pump bottle is convenient, I wish they'd also offer a more eco-friendly, refillable packaging option.
TipFor those with seborrheic dermatitis, my doctor suggested using this cleanser only in the evening and just rinsing with water in the morning. My skin has improved significantly with this routine.

ConsEven though it's foamy, rubbing it on my face causes a warming sensation. Also, I currently have acne-prone skin, and for the price, I don't see any significant effects.

You know how they say 'my baby doesn't hurt even if it gets in your eyes'? Well, that actually rings true here. It really doesn't sting if it gets in your eyes. It's mild yet cleanses effectively. These days, due to mask-wearing, I only do my eyebrows and mascara. I skip cleansing water or oil and go straight to this cleanser. If you work up enough lather, it removes eyebrow pencil and mascara completely! Other soaps or cleansing foams left my skin feeling squeaky clean, but with that tight, uncomfortable soap film. This cleansing gel, however, leaves my skin feeling comfortable and hydrated - I love it! While it may not have dramatic effects on blemishes, it maintains a good oil and moisture balance without causing irritation. So no disasters like new breakouts or extreme dryness!
ConsIf you're wearing thick, oily balms or creams, you'll need to cleanse twice. It seems a bit weak against oils. Even with plenty of lather, the foam dissolves as soon as it touches any oily residue. While it's effective enough to remove eye makeup, its weakness against oils is a bit disappointing.

ConsThe slippery feeling and sensation of not being fully rinsed off are similar to other low pH foam cleansers

My cheeks tend to flush when I feel hot. I have combination dehydrated skin in the U-zone and oily in the T-zone. Currently dealing with a breakout all over my face due to using the wrong shampoo. Texture and feel: Fragrance-free and odorless. Has a thin gel-like texture. Unlike typical low pH foams, it leaves skin feeling fresh and hydrated without that 'not fully cleansed' sensation. The foam is light rather than rich and creamy. Overall impression: After consistent use morning and night, I noticed a slight calming effect on my skin. I've been using it on my blemishes too, though without significant results. It probably won't remove makeup on its own but works great as a basic cleanser. Even my family member with dry skin finds it hydrating and enjoys using it. However, the ingredients list is disappointing. I'm not sure why it feels so gentle and pleasant to use, but it doesn't seem suitable as a long-term staple in my routine.
ConsThe price is absolutely terrible. After purchasing, I checked the ingredients and was dismayed to find sulfates, PEGs, and fragrances. There's not much more to say.

I have acne-prone combination skin that's super sensitive, so I was on the hunt for a gentle, low pH cleansing foam that wouldn't cause irritation. That's when I discovered this gem. Unlike other low pH cleansers that left my skin feeling slippery, this one has just the right amount of slip, leaving my face feeling refreshed. I used to use the Dokdo Cleansing Foam, but this feels less slick in comparison. The scent is nothing special, just a cool, fresh fragrance that shouldn't be polarizing.
ConsIt doesn't seem to lather up as much as I'd like. I suppose that's because it's a cleansing gel? I don't use a separate bubble maker, so that could be part of it, but it does feel like it produces noticeably less foam. Also, the price is a bit steep compared to other products, which can be a bit of a burden.
TipYou can use it just like a regular cleansing foam. Personally, I use it for double cleansing when I've applied sunscreen.
