It's great for targeting problem areas, and with consistent use, it has a soothing effect on blemishes.
ConsWhile it has a rich feel, the hydration level isn't quite as impressive, which is a bit disappointing.

It's so wonderful to wake up in the morning and find my skin soothed and calmed.
ConsWhile it's great overall, it's a bit too rich to wear during active daytime hours. It's a shame I can only use it as part of my nighttime skincare routine!

Kiehl's cica cream is comparatively quite rich in texture. Low irritation: There was absolutely no irritation. When I apply it before bed, I can definitely feel a soothing effect, making it perfect for sensitive dry skin.
ConsWhile the product's effectiveness isn't bad, some additional aspects don't suit my skin well, so I probably won't reach for it often. Absorption: The formula is quite rich and thick with a lot of oil, which makes me hesitant to apply too much. I thought it would be similar to La Roche-Posay balm, but it's extremely rich, making it more suitable for dry skin rather than oily skin. Scent: Like other Kiehl's products, it has a strong medicinal scent that isn't particularly appealing. It might be polarizing. Price: The price is relatively high considering the amount you get.

But after applying it once before bed, I experienced a miracle - they calmed down overnight! It's slightly rich, but absorbs well and has amazing soothing effects. My skin troubles have noticeably decreased.
ConsOddly, when I bought the full-size product, it didn't seem as effective as the sample. Still, it hasn't made things worse.

This is my first cica product, and I'm almost finished with it. Turns out, cica seems to have a soothing effect. On days when I've had laser treatments or microneedling, my skin gets red and heated. But if I apply this generously at night, by morning the irritation has magically calmed down. I guess this is why everyone's going crazy for cica!
ConsIt's a bit on the thick side, so it doesn't glide on super smoothly. Since I'm usually applying it to reddened skin, I can't rub it in too vigorously - I have to pat it on gently and slowly. I wish the absorption was a bit smoother, that's my only gripe.
TipWhen it feels too thick, I add a drop of oil. That makes it spread more easily, and when my skin is dry, it gives an extra boost of moisture. Perfect!

I needed a regenerating cream since I'm currently getting toning laser treatments at the dermatologist, and the price was reasonable for the amount. I bought two - one for me and one for my mom. It's my first time trying a cica cream. I have oily skin, but the laser treatments made my skin extremely dry. This cream leaves my skin feeling soft and comfortable! Especially right after the laser treatment, I applied it as soon as I got home, and by evening, my skin felt so soothed. I applied it again before bed, and the next morning, the redness had almost disappeared as if I hadn't even had the laser treatment - I was amazed! It's incredibly good... I'm impressed! Kiehl's seems to work well for me. No tingling or blemishes. I have oily skin, so I'm slightly concerned about the richness, but my mom, who's in her late 50s with dry skin, tried it once and said, 'This is nice~ Kiehl's is pretty good!' If you have dry skin, you could probably use this instead of a hydrating cream. Oh, and the texture is slightly thick, but it spreads easily when applied. You only need a small amount to cover your face and neck. Just squeeze out a little and spread it thinly!
ConsFor my oily skin, it doesn't cause blemishes and the oiliness can be managed if I control the amount... but it still feels a bit greasy. Seeing how it applies perfectly matte on my mom's dry skin, it seems better suited for dry skin types. The scent is a bit neither here nor there? I think it would be better if it were fragrance-free.
TipIt's perfect as a regenerating cream while I'm getting laser treatments at the dermatologist. It provides good hydration for sensitive, dry skin and soothes really well. Applying a thin layer twice makes it less sticky and works great!

The wide opening makes it surprisingly easy to control the amount you use. One evening, I only cleansed my skin with toner and applied this cream on areas with small blemishes and inflamed acne before bed. The next day, my blemishes had noticeably reduced, and my skin wasn't oily at all. Due to its rich consistency, I focused on applying it to areas with blemishes and redness rather than all over my face. When I woke up the next morning, I could really feel that my skin was calmed and recovering.
ConsOne drawback of the product is that the wide opening of the container means you might accidentally squeeze out too much, so you need to be careful with the amount. Other than that, I didn't find any significant downsides. If anything, I'm just disappointed that the quantity isn't larger because I'm definitely considering purchasing it myself next time!
TipIf you have combination dehydrated skin, I recommend using this cream as a final step after balancing your skin with toner and using a sheet mask. Rather than applying it all over your face, concentrate on blemish-prone areas by patting a thicker layer and allowing it to absorb well. Don't rub it in, just gently pat to help it absorb. Another great method is to apply the cream over a sheet mask for an extra boost of hydration!

My skin was severely breaking out, with acne spreading down to my neck. When I applied this to the neck area, I noticed it calmed down after some time. Product packaging: The tube-type container makes it easy to squeeze out and use.
ConsExtremely rich texture: I have combination dehydrated skin with a slightly oily T-zone. Initially, I applied it all over my face, but it produced an excessive amount of oil, so I switched to using it only on specific areas. Even on my drier areas (excluding the T-zone), it made my skin so oily that while some existing blemishes cleared up, new ones appeared. Due to the high oil content, I even developed a few blackheads in my T-zone. Thick consistency: The texture is incredibly thick, almost to the point of being solid. It's too heavy to use with just toner, so I recommend applying a light moisturizer or serum before using this product. I used it for about 3 days and now only use it occasionally. It's not a product I reach for very often.
TipThe thick, oily texture can cause pilling when mixed with other skincare products. I recommend using it primarily in the evening.

I was selected for The Hwahae Testers for the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived like a gift package instead of just the product alone. The design reminds me of a large acrylic paint tube... with an octagonal lid. As with most Kiehl's products, I appreciate its simple and clean look. 💄Overall: Great product for soothing sensitive skin prone to heat sensitivity! It helps calm redness. I'm looking forward to seeing the effects with consistent use. 📍Irritation: I have combination dehydrated skin with redness on my T-zone and cheeks, and I'm very sensitive to UV rays and heat. These areas react particularly sensitively to cosmetics, but this product caused no irritation even when applied to areas with redness. Since it's meant for skin soothing, it seems even less irritating than regular creams! 📍Texture and application: The application is similar to an ointment! It's very similar to the brand's Centella Skin Salve in that it's close to being colorless and odorless with a white hue, but the texture is slightly thicker. However, it's not too heavy, so it's easy to spread. It's better to spread rather than rub this formula. The container opening is quite large, so you can squeeze out enough for one application and add more if needed. 📍Hydration: After applying, when you touch your skin lightly, it feels like there's a thin moisturizing film. While it's not primarily a hydrating product, so you won't feel an intense burst of moisture, it does provide a decent level of hydration. 📍Effectiveness: After applying it to my cheeks before bed and sleeping, I noticed a slight reduction in redness when I woke up. A few days of use didn't show dramatic effects. Overall, this is a useful product for skin types like mine that frequently experience redness. My skin tends to get hot easily, even from indoor heating in winter, so I hope this product will help. I'll continue using it and see how it goes. + I've been using this product every other night for just under a month. While it doesn't completely prevent redness, it has reduced its frequency and intensity compared to before. Especially in winter, when I used to get significant redness even without direct water contact after washing with hot water, I've seen improvement in this aspect, which I'm satisfied with.
ConsIt might be a bit too rich for those with very oily skin! Also, note that the application isn't super lightweight. So far, I haven't encountered any significant issues while using it, but as it hasn't been long, I'll update after a few more weeks of use.
TipI'm also using the same brand's Centella Skin Salve only on specific areas (cheeks, T-zone), and I think this product can also be used efficiently for a long time if applied thinly only to areas with redness and irritation.

Here's my summary: Effectiveness: So-so, Texture: Hmm, Hydration: Great, Packaging: Great Effectiveness: It has a cooling effect that feels refreshing when applied. This could be great for those with facial flushing like me! I absolutely loved it. I have acne-prone sensitive skin, but I didn't experience any new breakouts. However, despite being a cica product, it didn't noticeably reduce pigmentation. It did have a slight calming effect on acne. Texture: It's quite thick and rich, making it a bit challenging to spread. But the hydration lasts until the next day, which could be great for dry skin types. My concern is that it leaves a film-like layer on the skin, which might lead to acne when it rubs off on pillows or bedding. Due to the dry season, even after using a soothing mask, my skin felt dry. This cream really helped to replenish moisture! Packaging: I've tried cica products from another brand where you had to puncture a hole in the seal, which was inconvenient. This one just needs to be peeled off. The container is a good size, easy to grip, and you can squeeze out the product easily. The packaging is really well-designed!
ConsWhile it's a cica cream, the soothing effect is somewhat lacking. And the price is quite high. Those are my only complaints!
TipApply small amounts gently, rolling it onto the skin to help it adhere well.
