I have a combination skin type, where my T-zone gets a bit shiny in the afternoon and my U-zone feels a bit tight. I'm also sensitive and get occasional breakouts, so I don't like products that are too oily or heavy. I also have some dryness. The great thing about this toner is that it's really mild! I've actually found some popular exfoliating toners or those with AHA, BHA, or the Clinique toner to be too strong at times, especially during dry and cold seasons like now. But this toner is truly gentle. It didn't sting at all. Of course, those with even more sensitive skin or specific skin types may have different experiences. It can be used as a toner pack, and when I gently wipe it on a cotton pad, it effectively removes impurities from my skin. It has a watery, fluid-like texture, but it feels a bit viscous, probably due to the inclusion of moisturizing ingredients like glycerin. This gives it a slightly slippery feel, yet it still feels hydrating. In the end, this is a gentle and great toner that can be used as a regular toner, or even as an essence toner. I tried it as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer, but I definitely want to repurchase it! The volume is also generous. It has a similar feel to the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Toner or the popular Dokdo Toner (transparent water-like toners with a slight viscosity), but I personally like this one the best... the only downside is the price compared to those products.
ConsThe slightly slippery feel of this toner might not be ideal for those with very oily skin. In my case, I did notice a few small bumps, almost like milia, popping up around my chin area, though I can't say for certain if it was due to this product. It wasn't an excessive breakout, just one or two small bumps. So for those with very oily skin, it might be worth considering. I also found the product packaging a bit inconvenient. Personally, I'm not a big fan of pump bottles in general, as I've often experienced product spraying out in all directions when pressing down too hard. This toner had a similar issue - you really have to be gentle when pressing the pump, or else it can get a bit messy. It's not a major deal-breaker, but something to keep in mind.
TipYes, you definitely have to be gentle and light-handed when using the pump on this toner. In addition to using it as a regular toner, I found it works really well as a toner pack too. Just soak a cotton pad with the toner and leave it on your skin for a bit. The cotton pads that are sold along with this toner (at least in my case, they came bundled, though I'm not sure if they always do) work great with it. They're thick and soft, and really help the toner absorb into the skin while gently wiping away impurities.
