I was thrilled when I won this as part of The Hwahae Testers! From the moment I received it, I was bubbling with excitement. The ingredients seemed gentle, so I started using it with a positive mindset. After about 10 days of use, it proved to be as mild as I had hoped. The hydration level was on par with my previous products. No blemishes appeared after use, and I'm thoroughly satisfied. The large size means it'll last a while, and the pump dispenser is convenient - no need to twist open a cap! If there's a downside, it's that when I first applied it to bare skin, I was surprised by the tingling sensation on areas with cuts or healing acne. It's probably due to the Centella Asiatica extract. Just be cautious when using it on sensitive areas. I've tried applying it both with a cotton pad and directly with my hands. Using a cotton pad seemed to absorb too much product, leaving less for the skin. My personal tip is to pump it directly onto your hands and apply - it works better that way! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 14, 2019
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! I've been using it for 2 weeks! - Packaging: The container is really inconvenient. It has a pump dispenser, but since this toner isn't viscous and is just a watery toner, it sprays everywhere when pumped. It's so inconvenient that I just unscrew the top cap and pour it into my hand to use. - Application: The application is similar to rose water toners. While it's a watery toner, it seems to have a bit of oil content, leaving a slight oily feeling on the face after application. - Absorption: The absorption is good. Personally, I think it absorbs better than rose water toners. - Hydration: I first use it as an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad, then layer it 3-4 times. Although it's a watery toner, the moisture doesn't evaporate quickly. However, as time passes, it does dry out, so you'll need to apply other products like emulsions or creams on top. - Scent: People who aren't sensitive to smells might think it's almost unscented, but it has a subtle, refreshing fragrance. I really liked the faint, crisp scent - it's like a clear sky. - Effectiveness: I'm not well-versed in ingredients, so I'm not sure if this product has whitening properties, but it might be psychological - when I use this product alone, my skin seems to become brighter and my complexion more even. - Blemishes: The first day I applied it, I was sitting on my bed using my phone when suddenly my face felt like ants in stilettos were walking all over it - stinging and intensely itchy. When I looked in the mirror, parts of my face were red. Tiny blemishes had appeared on my forehead and between my eyebrows, the thin skin around my eyes was even redder and swollen, and my cheeks and sides of my nose were bright red like someone with atopic dermatitis. The itching and stinging persisted and spread to my neck. I really wanted to wash it off immediately, but for the sake of the review, I decided to wait. I thought if it was still like this in the morning, I wouldn't be able to use it due to the extreme itching. However, the next morning, while some tiny bumps remained on my forehead, the redness had significantly subsided compared to right after application the previous night. The areas that were red yesterday had calmed down as if nothing had happened, which surprised me. So I tried applying the toner again, and this time there was no itching or irritation. It seems my skin just needed to adapt at first. *The photos show the front of the toner bottle, the pump, and my reddened forehead and cheeks right after application. The redness might be visible in the photos, but in reality, it was much more intense. It's a really versatile toner that's great for exfoliating! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 13, 2019
Review from The Hwahae Testers after 10 days of use: When I first tried this product, I loved the incredibly refreshing feeling and the convenient pump-onto-cotton-pad application method! I was thrilled that they included round cotton pads too - what a nice touch! The generous 300ml size meant I could use it liberally without worrying about running out. With its clear, clean texture, it felt incredibly light on the skin. I think this would be fantastic for people with large pores, oily skin, or during the summer months! Unfortunately, for acne-prone skin, it felt quite stinging and irritating. If you're not careful with the pump or press too hard, the product sprays everywhere and doesn't distribute evenly on the cotton pad. My skin had been breaking out recently, and this product made it feel even more irritated without any softening effect - in fact, my skin felt rougher. Sadly, after using this toner, I noticed an increase in blemishes. When pumping directly onto the cotton pad, press gently and move the pad around to ensure an even distribution of the product for optimal use!
