I have sensitive, blemish-prone combination dehydrated skin with lots of dead skin cells. Using the clear sky cotton pads, I first wipe with toner and then let it absorb. It's so convenient to use daily on my neck and chest too. After cleansing, just pull out a cotton pad (these are truly life-changing!) and gently press the toner on. It's great for calming the skin and even helps with small pimples. It's also good for pore care. It worked well for me, and the 300ml size is generous! You need to pump it gently onto the cotton pad or your palm to prevent it from spraying sideways. After cleansing, I first wipe it on while my skin is still damp, then pat in the remaining solution from the back of the pad for a second layer. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 16, 2019Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Texture: The formula is moisturizing without being sticky, and when applied, it feels slightly oily like water. It doesn't have a viscous consistency, but rather a fluid texture that glides on smoothly. It seems to be a great product for layering, as it absorbs quickly into my skin, which is dry even in its deeper layers. Scent: There's no particular fragrance, which should appeal to those who dislike scented products. The quantity is also generous. Design: The luxurious shopping bag is very pretty, and the bottle is made of plastic rather than glass, giving it a neat design. Blemishes: I didn't experience any particular breakouts, deep dryness, or redness on my skin. It comes in a pump format, but when I first opened it, I almost pulled it off thinking it was a cap. I tried pressing it just in case, and that's when I realized it was a pump. The issue is that when you pump it, the product sometimes spurts out in different directions, and some of it messily drips down. The container is quite bulky, and the pump is round and flat. I think changing the container design could improve this. It might be a good idea to transfer it into an empty bottle or mist container for use. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 15, 2019Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The bottle is so large that even after using it generously, there's still plenty left! The cotton pads that came with it are soft, and I appreciate that the fragrance isn't overpowering - it's actually unscented, which makes it comfortable to use. If you're looking for a light, refreshing moisturizer rather than a heavy one, this would be perfect for you! This isn't a product that provides intense hydration or exceptional moisturizing effects. It's more of a light, quick-absorbing formula that might be better suited for those with oily skin. As someone with dry skin, I didn't see any significant results. Also, I think this product would be more effective and beneficial during summer rather than winter when you need stronger moisturization. I tried using it as a skin pack by soaking the cotton pads and leaving them on my cheeks for about 5 minutes. It absorbed quickly and effectively. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 15, 2019Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

They mainly serve as a second cleanser, smooth out skin texture, and provide gentle exfoliation. As long as they don't contain alcohol and aren't oily or sticky, a cost-effective product is best. After all, if the first step is too heavy, it makes the next skincare steps uncomfortable. This toner has good ingredients, isn't too irritating, and isn't heavy - all great points! However... The packaging is really inconvenient. Take note: you have to press very carefully to avoid splashing. If you don't control your strength well, it'll pierce through the cotton pad and spray everywhere. It's fine in the evening, but in the morning when you're in a rush, who has time to be so careful? If you control your strength well and gently press while moving the cotton pad up and down, it won't splash... but it's still very inconvenient. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 15, 2019Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The gentle ingredients provide initial soothing relief for my skin irritated by fine dust. As someone with oily skin who struggles to apply multiple products, I've been using just this toner and two creams for about two weeks without experiencing any deep dryness or itchiness from dehydration. Thirdly, despite using a generous amount of toner (about 8 pumps each time), I've barely used 1/6 of the large bottle. Lastly, on days when I went out without makeup, I found that cleansing with just this toner was enough to leave my skin feeling clean, making it a go-to product. It seems to remove impurities better than any other toner I've tried. As a result, I've noticed fewer blemishes, faster healing, and even some dead skin cell removal while toning, eliminating the need for a separate facial scrub. The toner dispenses through a pump mechanism, but the spray is quite forceful and disperses in all directions, causing it to splash around and making each use somewhat inconvenient. Additionally, the amount dispensed with each pump is quite small, requiring multiple pumps to get enough product. I found that pressing two cotton pads against the nozzle from both sides simultaneously significantly reduced the splashing issue. - mi*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 15, 2019Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I have a sensitive sense of smell. My skin is thin with redness, combination dehydrated and sensitive. I have both cystic and closed comedone acne with large pores. My skin gets dry if I do even slightly less skincare, and I develop closed comedones if I do slightly more, so please keep this in mind when reading the review. * Texture - Watery texture that flows easily * Scent - Has a cool, menthol-like scent. - Not particularly light, but not overpowering either. * Product Features - Safe ingredients (including natural extracts) - Whitening function (niacinamide) - Blemish soothing (Centella asiatica extract) - Mix of 6 types of low and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid - No artificial fragrances * Included Cotton Pads They included large cotton pads that cover all four fingers. The pads are moderately thick, with one side very soft and the other excellent for exfoliation. The large size makes it great for skin packing with the soft side, and after packing, I used the opposite side to wipe areas with a lot of dead skin cells and whiteheads. Many whiteheads around the lips, sides of the nose, and under the mouth disappeared after using the toner. The rough side even survived being rubbed on my brother's sandpaper-like chin due to his beard stubble. I definitely want to buy these cotton pads. ========================= * Advantages 1. Slightly Acidic Toner The pH is 5. Good for balancing skin pH as it's slightly acidic. Not necessary if you already have acidic products, but good for those without acidic cleansers or basic skincare. Slightly acidic products help maintain your natural moisture barrier, and are useful for balancing sebum in oily skin. (When skin becomes alkaline, it creates an environment where Demodex mites thrive.) 2. Watery Texture I prefer watery textures, often called 'water toners'. Although my skin is dry, it's ultimately oily, so high-viscosity toners make me an oil field. If you have existing essences and creams, this is good for those who need a toner just for cleansing, as the name suggests. 3. Ingredients Being sensitive-skinned, I can't help but pay attention to ingredients. In this regard, I'm very satisfied with this product. It's even advertised as suitable for infants. I was pleased with the focus on hydration, blemish soothing, and brightening with various hyaluronic acids, Houttuynia cordata and Centella asiatica extracts, and niacinamide. Small, red blemishes that just appeared were somewhat, though not completely, soothed after skin packing. It's suitable for the 7-skin method using the large, round cotton pads provided, soaked sufficiently with toner. 4. Redness, Blemish Soothing and Sebum Control As I have combination dehydrated skin, I was dealing with both oiliness and flaky dryness. While it's not instantly moisturizing, so it couldn't fully address the dry areas, it did help with inflamed, shiny red bumps that seemed infested with Demodex mites, and newly formed cystic acne. Redness also slightly subsides after skin packing. 5. Large Volume Toner At 300ml for an original price of 32,000 won, it seems reasonably cost-effective. * Disadvantages 1. Not Gentle for Extremely Sensitive Conditions Despite the gentle ingredients, the user experience wasn't always mild. When I received this toner, my skin was in such a bad state that nothing seemed to help, no matter what I did or didn't do. When I used this toner on painful skin irritations that weren't acne, it felt moisturizing but caused a warming sensation and irritation during skin packing, not from physical stimulation (wiping with cotton pads). Thinking it might be an adjustment phase, I used it for about 3 days, then stopped for 2 days due to the stinging, and used it again for 5 more days. During those 5 days, I used it mainly just to clean dust and smooth skin texture, which caused less irritation. However, it wasn't completely irritation-free. 2. Somewhat Low Absorption The toner doesn't absorb as well as expected. When used with a cotton pad after cleansing, it leaves a watery feeling on the skin. Even with patting, it took over 10 seconds of tapping for complete absorption. 3. Subtle Hydration Perhaps due to the winter season, or the low absorption rate, but compared to other toners I've used, it didn't feel as hydrating with 4 layers as it did with skin packing. # Cf. Water toners I've tried Mamonde Rose & Chamomile, Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing, Isoi Bulgarian Rose, Round Lab Dokdo Toner, etc. ========================= < Overall Review > - A water-like toner that provides slight soothing and is good for wiping * Recommended for - Those looking for gentle ingredients (not recommended for those with currently very sensitive skin) - Those without acidic products in their routine - Those who break out easily with additional nourishing products in their existing skincare routine 1. I mainly used 3-7 layers, patting for absorption. 2. The dual-sided cotton pads are great for physically removing dead skin cells and whiteheads. I once wiped an area with a lot of sebaceous filaments and it worked surprisingly well, so I've been continuing to do so. 3. For reducing redness or calming the skin, skin packing works better. It's made with only safe, trustworthy components that you can use with confidence. Given how bad air pollution is these days, harsh products tend to make my skin red, itchy, and irritated. But this toner, thanks to its gentle formulation, doesn't cause any of those issues. It's also user-friendly with its pump design - just place a cotton pad on top and press down to dispense. It's rare to find a product with such safe ingredients these days. I'm impressed not only by the ingredient list but also by how it actually calms and soothes my skin after use. This seems like an excellent product for soothing skin, especially if you have allergies or sensitive skin. The hydration level was a bit disappointing. I have sensitive yet dry skin, so I prefer products that are gentle but also deeply moisturizing. I tend to favor toners with a more essence-like, viscous texture as they provide better hydration. This one has more of a water-like consistency rather than that rich, essence-like feel, so it seems to fall short in terms of moisturization. This product would be great to use as a skin pack if kept in the refrigerator. I have slight redness issues, so I think this will be especially useful in summer. When your skin is sensitive or experiencing redness, you could use this as a soothing pack after cleansing. Just soak some cotton pads with the chilled toner from the fridge, place them on your face like a mask, and let it calm your skin. Since it's made with such gentle ingredients, it seems particularly effective for soothing the skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 15, 2019Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

After about two weeks of use, I'm very satisfied with the results. My skin is slightly sensitive with combination dehydrated skin. Usually, silicone-based ingredients (like dimethicone) don't agree with me, and even slightly incompatible products can cause itching or blemishes on my cheeks. While using this product, I experienced no irritation or adverse reactions. In fact, just by changing this one toner, I felt my skin gradually becoming healthier. I typically use an exfoliating toner first, then do a face mask with the Sirucoat cotton pads for 7-10 minutes. Despite being a water-based toner, it feels refreshing without drying, likely due to the glycerin content. The cotton pads included are fantastic quality! One side is soft cotton, while the other has small holes. I used the holed side first for extra cleansing, then the soft side to gently wipe, before patting in any remaining product. Recently, my skin has been dry and sensitive due to heating, so I've been using the Sirucoat cotton pads for toner packs to reduce skin temperature. If you try this product, definitely do a toner pack - highly recommended! It's very soothing and helps with deep dryness. The Sirucoat cotton pads seem to work better with this toner than Olive Young's 5-layer cotton pads. I also sprayed Avene mist during the pack, which slowed the drying and cooled my skin faster. The packaging is also satisfying, with the overall product concept and name matching the user experience perfectly. While I was satisfied with the texture, packaging, and overall feel, there were two drawbacks. First, the container. It has a wide-mouth pump bottle typically seen in cleansing waters, but the pump tends to squirt sideways, requiring careful attention. Also, despite being great for toner packs, the pump bottle makes it a bit inconvenient to saturate cotton pads. My tip: fold the pad two or three times and pump directly onto it. The second issue is the price. I was excited to repurchase until I saw the 32,000 won price tag. As someone who frequently does toner packs, a toner in the 30,000 won range is a bit burdensome. If it were in the early 20,000 won range, it could have been a holy grail product with excellent value for money. The price is particularly disappointing considering how quickly water-based exfoliating toners tend to run out compared to more absorbent formulas. While the product quality is excellent, the price was a bit disappointing. However, the Bioselect website is currently offering a 40% discount to celebrate the new product launch! Although I received this product for free as a tester, I'm considering repurchasing and stocking up during this sale. Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.I was lucky enough to be selected as a Hwahae Tester and I'm writing this review after using the product for about 10 days. First off, I really liked that this toner is slightly acidic. The gentle ingredients make it perfect as an exfoliating toner! While I have dry skin, I think this would work wonders for those with oilier complexions. Unfortunately, I developed blemishes after using this toner. I had high hopes since other slightly acidic toners worked well for me, but this wasn't the case here. I tried using it with the provided cotton pads, but the exfoliating side felt more irritating than effective at removing dead skin cells. The pump bottle design seems well-intentioned for easy use, but be careful - the toner tends to splash everywhere when pumping onto a cotton pad. It's worth noting that this feels more like a cleansing toner rather than a hydrating one. It didn't suit my skin in winter, but it might be great for summer use. To minimize skin irritation, try saturating the cotton pad generously with the toner before wiping. Also, be cautious when pumping to avoid splashing.
