I'm the type that gets hives and pimples right away from incompatible ingredients, so I agonized over it before making the purchase, but I can manage my exfoliation fairly gently. Pros
Since I have a lot of dead skin, I regularly use a peeling gel. After switching to this product, I no longer need to use the peeling gel. It seems to effectively remove dead skin in a convenient way. The price is also reasonable. I used to mix it with a cream, and I found that doing so reduced irritation and helped the cream absorb better into my skin.
Cons
The smell is not great - it's quite unpleasant. It feels like I'm applying oil directly to my face. This is a mild exfoliating serum. I used to use peeling gels/pads, but recently felt they were too irritating, so I switched to this serum. I have very sensitive skin and have been dealing with cystic acne and persistent blackheads, so I decided to try the gentle Mandelic Acid product. As soon as I started using it, my skin became so much smoother the very next day! It didn't cause any irritation, and using it 2-3 times a week has helped with the blackheads - the products I was using before seem to be absorbing better now, and my skin has really improved. All those stubborn blackheads I've been struggling with for years are finally gone... This low-irritation exfoliator is truly a great product.
Cons
I don't have any major issues with this product... The only thing is that since it's an exfoliating product, it's best not to use it with other harsh or drying products. I stopped using it with my brightening products, as I found they were too irritating when used together. The rosehip oil I tried also didn't seem to agree with it - it caused some breakouts.

I like to apply this by soaking a cotton pad with toner, then adding a few drops of the Mandelic Acid and gently wiping it over my face. Since my skin is so sensitive, I never apply it directly.
