Quick summary: Don't hesitate to buy it first and read reviews later. Just go ahead and purchase it! Advantages: - Gentle exfoliation possible even for sensitive skin - Effective for acne caused by clogged pores or uneven texture - Works wonders on nose acne - Improves overall skin texture Drawbacks: Haven't found any yet My usage method: 1. Use a mild, lightweight toner (avoid those with exfoliating or whitening properties) on a cotton pad. Add 3-5 drops of mandelic acid on top. 2. Gently swipe the cotton pad with mandelic acid over your face. You can pat it in if you like, but it's not necessary. 3. Wait 20-30 minutes, then continue with your regular skincare routine. I follow up with Isol Propolis Ampoule (which is also great!) and then use two different creams. Photo description: You can see results as soon as the next day! That was my experience. Before: January 2nd / After: January 21st (I just took the 'after' photo for this review. It was actually better before, but some blemishes appeared after not using it for a few days) These photos are completely unedited. Both were taken with the default camera app. When skin is in poor condition, it definitely looks more yellow and dark... (Everyone agrees, right?)
ConsThere are no drawbacks yet, honestly none. It even reduces bumpy texture when applied to the body. No cons at all, it's that good!
TipInstead of applying the liquid directly, I used a cotton pad to swipe it on. Since I have sensitive skin, I'm letting my skin adapt to the mandelic acid before trying direct application. Even just using it with a cotton pad has given me great results!

After cleansing, apply a thin layer, then put a few drops on a cotton pad and gently wipe along your skin texture where dead skin cells have built up. It removes all the flaky skin, leaving your face incredibly smooth.
ConsKeep in mind this is more for skincare than for use under makeup. It's an exfoliating ampoule, so it might cause your makeup to pill if you apply it beforehand.
TipPlease take note of the positive aspects I mentioned.

Surprisingly, it's gentle enough for managing dead skin cells. While using too much can still cause some breakouts, mixing it with toner for an exfoliating treatment leaves my skin feeling smooth.
ConsThe downside is that when you first use it or after a long break, you might wake up the next day with some flaky patches, making your face look a bit unkempt. Boosting hydration helps resolve this quickly, but using it when you already have a buildup of dead skin cells can make your skin appear somewhat rough.
TipFor those with super sensitive skin, using this product alone might be too harsh. I recommend mixing it with your toner to create an exfoliating treatment, followed by thorough application of a hydrating moisturizer.

But since switching to this product, I've stopped using them altogether. It seems to effortlessly remove dead skin cells. The price is quite reasonable too. I mixed it with my moisturizer, which not only reduced irritation but also helped the cream absorb better into my skin. It's been a great experience overall.
ConsThe scent is quite unpleasant and off-putting. Applying it feels like you're spreading oil on your face. It's not thick enough, so when you use the dropper to apply it to your face, it just runs down. It can cause a tingling sensation when you first use it or after a long break. The lid doesn't fit properly.
TipAs mentioned in the instructions, it works best when mixed with an emulsion or cream. Apply it only in the evening, three times a week, similar to how you'd use a peeling gel.

I recently switched from peeling gels/pads to this serum as I felt they were becoming too harsh. I've been using it about twice a week, and I can feel my skin texture improving without any irritation. What I like: It feels like it's gently removing dead skin cells without causing irritation. It's not harsh on the skin, so I'm considering repurchasing.
ConsWhat could be better: I've become quite interested in The Ordinary brand recently, but I'm disappointed that there aren't many opportunities to test their products. I wish they were available from a wider variety of retailers.
TipWhile it is gentle, it's still a product designed to remove dead skin cells, so it's best to use a hydrating ampoule (like a hyaluronic acid ampoule) after cleansing, followed by the mandelic acid ampoule.

Thinking my dead skin cells might be the culprit, I decided to try the gentle Mandelic Acid. The results were incredible! My skin felt incredibly smooth the very next day after first use! It didn't cause any blemishes, so I've been using it twice a week. Thanks to its exfoliating effect, my serums and creams absorb better, and my skin has improved significantly. All those pesky milia that had been bothering me for years are gone! It's truly an excellent product for gentle exfoliation.
ConsThere's not much to complain about... Well, since it's an exfoliating product, it's best not to use it with other harsh products. When I use this, I avoid brightening products as they can be irritating. I also found that using it with rosehip oil didn't work well for me and caused blemishes.
TipHere's my application method: I soak a cotton pad with toner, then add a few drops of Mandelic Acid on top before gently wiping my face. With my sensitive skin, I never apply it directly. After wiping, I follow up with a hydrating essence or moisturizing ampoule, then a gentle cream like Physiogel. The next morning, my skin feels amazing! I do this once or twice a week, and after about two months, those milia were history! If you have lots of milia, chin acne, and combination dehydrated skin that's transitioning from oily to dry, give this a try! I'm so happy now that those stubborn chin acne and milia are gone.

That's why I didn't feel any particular stinging or irritation when I first applied it. After using mandelic acid, I definitely noticed a reduction in dead skin cells and whiteheads.
ConsIt's really disappointing that while there are offline stores in Seoul, there aren't any in other regions, so people outside the capital can't test the products.
TipIf you're using it for the first time or plan to use it daily, it's best to mix it with your regular toner before applying.

I'm so glad I did! Trying it today, I found it really does exfoliate dead skin cells gently. There's no tingling or redness - it seems to remove dead skin without any irritation. My skin feels incredibly smooth and has a lovely glow now.
ConsI don't have any complaints yet... It seems like all the products from this brand work well for me.
TipI'm using it in this order: toner - serum - this product. Am I using it correctly? I remember the sales associate telling me not to use it together with a buffing product when I bought it.
