The Hwahae Testers review here. First off, I'm a woman, and I've compiled feedback from my dad and brother who have been using this product for two weeks. The packaging is simple - you get the main product plus a complimentary 50ml bottle. Both the box and the container are sleek, making it a stylish addition to any vanity. The 50ml size is perfect for on-the-go application. The fragrance is subtle, reminiscent of typical men's skincare products, with a hint of citrus. It's not overpowering, which my scent-sensitive family members appreciated. Application is gentle on the skin. Even after shaving, when most products tend to sting or irritate, this one doesn't cause discomfort. Being an all-in-one product, it's convenient - no need for multiple steps. It doesn't leave the skin feeling tight after application. Despite being labeled as 'whitening', it doesn't dramatically lighten the skin. This allows for comfortable twice-daily application (before work and during lunch) without looking unnatural. The texture is on the thinner side. While it doesn't drip when squeezed out, it spreads easily, feeling more like an emulsion than a sunscreen. The price feels a bit steep for the amount you get. It might be challenging for students to afford. The staying power is somewhat disappointing. While it doesn't dramatically whiten the skin, which is good, it tends to fade after about half a day. Those with oily skin might find it wears off even faster. It doesn't cover blemishes. It's best to think of it as a tone-up sunscreen rather than a concealing product. For best results, apply by gently patting the product onto your skin rather than rubbing it in. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 31, 2020
Being an all-in-one product made it really convenient, and the slight brightening effect made my skin look noticeably brighter and more vibrant. As someone with super sensitive skin, I didn't experience any redness or blemishes when using this product! Well, I felt that the staying power wasn't very long-lasting. Also, with the weather being hot lately, I tend to sweat, and when that happens, white droplets form as it mixes with sweat. If you wear a black or blue mask, it leaves visible marks on it. Since the product itself has a brightening effect, it's best to apply it evenly all over once. If you apply it twice, you might end up looking too pale. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 31, 2020
As a lucky winner of The Hwahae Testers program, I've been using this product for a while and here's my review: 1. Being an all-in-one product, it's perfect for those who struggle with a complex skincare routine. 2. However, a minimal basic skincare regimen might still be necessary. 3. Surprisingly, it doesn't leave a white cast as much as I expected. 1. It's a bit rich, so it might not suit those with oily or blemish-prone skin. I had to stop using it as I kept getting small bumps. 2. The effects don't seem to last very long. 3. It tends to pill a little on the skin. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 29, 2020
## The Hwahae Testers' Honest Review ## Overall, I highly recommend this product for its excellent balance. It's rare for me to give 5 stars to a cosmetic product, but this one deserves it! 1. Application It's particularly great for men. Perfect for daily use with a smooth application - mildness personified. No stickiness or discomfort whatsoever. Compared to other sunscreens, it spreads easily and absorbs well. 2. Ingredients While I'm not certain, I tend to get minor blemishes from products containing shea butter. Thankfully, this doesn't contain it. I was reassured by the hydrating ingredients and the absence of harmful substances. 3. Effectiveness It provides hydration without excess oil, preventing the skin from feeling heavy. Free from harmful or irritating ingredients, I used it consistently and was pleased to see no blemishes develop. The triple functionality is a mood booster too. Highly recommended! If I had to mention a downside, it would be the longevity. Given that it provides hydration while functioning as a sunscreen, I had a feeling it might not last as long as other products. Perfect for daily use! As an essence-type moisturizing all-in-one sunscreen, it feels refreshing and deeply hydrating. My routine: Toner => Serum => Whitening all-in-one => Sunscreen Since I don't reapply sunscreen often, I layer it on top for extra protection. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMay 9, 2019
The brightening effect is great, and honestly, it's convenient because you can apply it all at once, saving time and effort. The longevity is somewhat lacking, and it doesn't maintain its effect as well as I'd like. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 4, 2019
I got the chance to try this product as a winner of The Hwahae Testers review program. I usually don't pay much attention to men's skincare, but this product has great ingredients and is convenient to use, which I really appreciate. It's quite drying, possibly due to the ethanol content. Also, the staying power is rather poor, which is a bit disappointing. (Still, the high-quality ingredients remain its biggest advantage.) Even though it's an all-in-one product, don't rely on it alone. For best results, apply it after thoroughly absorbing your toner and emulsion! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 3, 2019
**The Hwahae Testers Review** I'll skip the photos as many others have already shared them. I'll write about my experience using this product for about 2 weeks before work in the mornings. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I think this product is suitable for winter use. 1. Absorption: It went on very smoothly. There's an immediate brightening effect, making it easy to see the difference between treated and untreated areas. 2. Hydration: It felt moisturizing without any pilling or lack of hydration. 3. Brightening: It instantly whitens as you apply, giving a clean impression. Among all-in-one brightening products I've tried, this one stands out. 4. Scent & Sun Protection: I enjoyed the cool, masculine fragrance. It's not overpowering, but rather subtle. With SPF 50 PA+++, I thought it could double as a sunscreen. 5. All-in-One Performance: Unlike many all-in-one products that fall short when used alone, this one maintains hydration well and causes less deep dryness. It's among the top all-in-one products I've personally used. Areas for Improvement 1. Longevity As someone else mentioned, it doesn't seem to last very long. This is common for most all-in-one products... I think it might come off with sweat in summer. For reapplication, I'd probably use a compact or sunscreen instead. 2. Rich Texture As someone with combination dehydrated skin, some richness is good, but it's disappointing that it leaves quite a bit of oil on the surface. I usually use oil blotting papers every 6 hours, but this product leaves more oil than regular sunscreen. I'll need to apply just the right amount and use blotting papers. 3. Price It's a bit more expensive than CC creams or foundations from other brands. While it's great as an all-in-one for travel or business trips, it's not ideal for daily use. Maybe a smaller size would be better... **Overall: Recommended for frequent travelers during seasonal changes and winter, but not for summer or extremely oily skin types. While the scent, brightening effect, and absorption are satisfactory, the excess oil and limited skin-perfecting effects are drawbacks.** I only used it before work, but applying it after cleansing with toner and applying essence or moisturizer significantly reduced deep dryness. It stayed moisturized longer than when applied alone. After lunch, blotting with oil papers and touching up with a compact powder might help reduce darkening! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 1, 2019
After using it consistently for 2 weeks as part of The Hwahae Testers, here's my review: First off, the big advantage is its all-in-one formula with UV protection, so you don't need to bother with applying sunscreen separately. Super convenient! One of this product's standout features is its brightening effect. Many men struggle with dull complexions, myself included. I've been hesitant to use brightening moisturizers or BB creams because they often leave my face looking unnaturally pale. Despite my dark and lackluster skin tone, this product brightened without looking obvious or unnatural - I was quite pleased with the result. Applying a thin layer all over, then a bit extra on the cheeks and forehead, gave my face a noticeably brighter appearance. It made my whole look more vibrant without being over the top. I really appreciated how natural it felt. So, to sum up, I'd say the two main advantages are its all-in-one formula and its ability to even skin tone. While there weren't any major drawbacks, I'd say the staying power and fragrance could be improved. As someone with oily skin, I didn't find it lasted very long. My natural oils started to come through, mixing with the product and making my face feel greasy faster than usual. As for the scent, well... it's pretty typical of men's skincare products. I wondered if the fragrance (one of the 20 key ingredients) was really necessary, especially since it lingers for quite a while. Personally, I think the product would have been fine without it. To be honest, it's not exactly budget-friendly, so I can't wholeheartedly recommend it. However, I do think it offers decent value for the price. The formula is surprisingly lightweight, so a little goes a long way - one pump is usually enough for full coverage. If you decide to invest in it, it should last you quite a while for daily use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 1, 2019
☆ As a selected member of The Hwahae Testers, I'm writing an honest review after using this product daily for 2 weeks ☆ I'm a male college student in my mid-20s with sensitive skin prone to irritation and combination dehydrated skin that tends to be oily. Usually, my face gets quite greasy, so I avoid heavy, rich cosmetics with a thick consistency. The same goes for sunscreens - I prefer those that focus on hydration rather than thick, heavy formulas. 1: Refreshing feel It has a subtle, sophisticated scent reminiscent of the Bvlgari Extrême Pour Homme fragrance I usually wear - perfect for a stylish, energetic city man. The formula is hydration-rich and absorbs well. It feels like a cream with an essence added - light and refreshing. After application, it absorbs quickly, leaving the skin feeling soft without any residue. There's a slight stickiness after absorption, but it's minimal - paper won't stick to your face. 2: All-in-one that skips basic skincare steps With its skincare benefits, you can just cleanse and apply this sun emulsion - no need for other steps. It's super convenient, especially for busy lifestyles or men who often skip skincare routines. The Rule429 all-in-one sun emulsion takes care of that aspect really well. 3: Excellent UV protection With SPF50+ and PA+++, while not the absolute highest protection, it's more than sufficient for daily use unless you're exposed to intense sun all day. 4: No white cast After two weeks of use, I didn't notice any white cast. I'm usually very sensitive to this issue with sunscreens, but thanks to its hydrating formula and good absorption, I doubt others will notice it either. 5: Luxurious and clean design Hazzys Men is known for its premium image, and this product lives up to that reputation. The minimalist design is sleek and sophisticated without any unnecessary elements. Its luxurious and refined look makes it great for gifting too. 1: Lacking coverage and longevity I usually use cushion compacts or foundation instead of sunscreen for their coverage and longevity. While this product excels in brightening, it falls short compared to specialized makeup base items like BB creams, cushions, or foundations in terms of coverage and staying power. Particularly, its coverage only evens out skin tone slightly but doesn't conceal blemishes. If you're looking for a makeup base, you might be disappointed. 2: High price point As a daily-use product, especially if used as a primary makeup base requiring touch-ups, the price approaching 40,000 won is quite steep, especially for a student. 3: Noticeable oiliness Perhaps due to my combination dehydrated skin, when I apply it in the morning and go out, my face becomes quite oily by early afternoon. With my usual Botanic Hill Bo & Goyoo cushion compact, I don't experience oiliness even in the evening, so this aspect is a bit disappointing. -----> Given its excellent hydration but lacking coverage, I think this product might be best suited for men with dry or normal skin types who have fewer blemishes to conceal. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 26, 2019
The application is fantastic. Perhaps due to the alcohol content, it absorbs well without any greasy residue, leaving the skin feeling fresh and matte. The staying power is disappointing. As someone who sweats a lot, I find it washes off quickly with perspiration, requiring frequent reapplication...
