After using it, my skin improved noticeably. It's incredibly hydrating, and I love how soft and smooth my skin feels after application. The only downside is the slightly masculine scent. My friends say I smell like a guy when I wear it, which is a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAtopy SkinJul 31, 2020
Just as I received the product, the rainy season kicked in! Since it's a sunscreen, I couldn't really test its UV protection, but I'll focus on how it feels to use. 1. It applies smoothly Being an all-in-one product, it's definitely less thick than pure sunscreens and glides on easily. 2. Provides a subtle brightening effect While it doesn't leave a strong white cast, you can feel a slight brightening as you apply it. I liked this subtle effect. 3. Not overly rich It feels a bit rich when first applied. Unlike typical sunscreens that quickly dry to a matte finish, this one takes a bit longer to settle. It's more of a product characteristic than a clear positive. It becomes more silky than matte, which might be great for those with dry skin. 4. Clean design The packaging is sleek and clean-looking. It would make a nice gift for men who aren't too familiar with skincare products. 1. The scent is a bit masculine While some might like it, it's not my favorite. It's not overpowering, but you can definitely tell it has that 'men's product' fragrance. Fortunately, the scent doesn't seem to linger too long. 2. Presence of richness As mentioned in the positives, it's not oil-free and becomes more silky than matte over time. This might be great for dry skin types, but could be hit or miss for those with oily skin. It might be best to apply it in multiple thin layers for better absorption. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 31, 2020
The absorbs well! Even when I apply a lot, it doesn't feel heavy or cause pilling, making it easy to use the recommended amount of sunscreen. Plus, being an all-in-one product, its convenience seems to be its biggest strength. It also pairs well with base products, working great with both dewy and matte finishes. The scent is too much like old-school men's aftershave... It does dissipate, but the fragrance is a bit overwhelming. I applied it after light skincare, but it still feels rich, which shows they really focused on the all-in-one aspect. Those with combination dehydrated skin like me might only be able to use this with just a watery toner underneath. It pairs well with matte foundations (no pilling), so I recommend using it with a matte foundation. - Hwahae UserOily SkinJul 27, 2020
This product is a hybrid sunscreen combining both mineral and chemical UV filters. When I applied it to my hand, it didn't have that white cast typically associated with tone-up creams, but rather felt like a chemical sunscreen. However, when I applied it to my face, I noticed it subtly evened out my skin tone and covered imperfections. What's impressive is that it provides a natural brightening effect and fills in uneven texture without containing iron oxides, which are typically found in foundations or tinted base products. The texture is less greasy than pure chemical sunscreens while still offering a natural complexion-enhancing effect. It paired well with my semi-matte foundation, creating a smooth canvas that helped my base products adhere better and prevent caking - impressive for a product that doesn't specifically market itself as a primer. The scent... It has a cool, refreshing fragrance typical of men's skincare products. While it dissipates naturally over time and isn't overly bothersome, it's definitely a love-it-or-hate-it kind of scent. Personally, I prefer unscented basic sun care products, but this wasn't unpleasant. First photo - Back of hand without the product. Second photo - Back of hand with the product applied. Interestingly, there's no visible tone-up effect on the hand, but it provides a natural brightening effect on the face! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 4, 2019
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. Absorption 👍 First off, the thin consistency makes it absorb really well. Compared to the thick texture of typical sunscreens, this one is much smoother and more fluid. However, it does take a bit of time to fully sink in! Longevity 👍 Despite being an all-in-one product, its UV protection seems to last impressively long! To be honest, given its texture, I didn't expect much in terms of sun protection, but its effectiveness surprised me. Brightening 👍 I'm not sure if it's because it matches my complexion, but I could definitely see it evening out my skin tone! It gives a natural brightening effect, not a ghostly white cast. Gentle 👍 For a sunscreen, it's incredibly gentle on the skin, except for the fragrance. I'd highly recommend this to men looking for a non-irritating sunscreen! Also, it's perfect for those who want to simplify their skincare routine by combining multiple steps into one product. Fragrance 😢 First, I noticed blemishes appearing a few days after using this product. I have super sensitive skin that reacts quickly to fragranced products, so please keep this in mind before purchasing! Scent 😢 Personally, I'm not a fan of masculine cosmetic scents, and this one has a strong masculine fragrance. To give you an idea, it's similar to the scent of lotion you'd find in a public bathhouse. If you're not particularly sensitive to smells, it might not bother you! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 16, 2019
For context, I have dry skin, so I applied toner and cream before using this product. The positive aspects of this product are: 1. It's hygienic with a pump dispenser 2. Convenient as an all-in-one product 3. The absorbs well is really good - it feels moisturizing when applied 4. It evens skin tone naturally without looking obvious As an all-in-one product including toner, emulsion, and sunscreen, I was initially unsure, but I'm satisfied with the results. The best feature is how well it absorbs, and the brightening moisturizer effect looks natural. Comparing it to my previous routine of applying toner, emulsion, cream, and sunscreen separately, I didn't notice any skin deterioration when simplifying my skincare routine with this product. While many praised the scent, I actually disliked it. It felt like an artificial fragrance to me. Also, it seemed a bit rich? I usually get a bit shiny after applying creams, but with this product, the oiliness seemed slightly more pronounced, though not excessively so.
