This is truly fantastic when your skin is acting up. I always keep some on hand for those moments. Over time, it tends to get oily, but when you first apply it, it feels matte with minimal hydration. I get my hydration from serums and apply this cream in a thin layer as the final step. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 13, 2021
You know how tamanu oil is the best for red blemish marks, right?! When I was struggling with red marks after popping pimples, I discovered this and used it. The improvement was noticeable! I went around telling everyone about it. But when I stopped using it to test other products, my skin flared up again... I'm planning to go back to this for a while!! The scent! It's really going to be a love-it-or-hate-it situation! I personally like this kind of fragrance, so it didn't bother me, but... - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 24, 2021
I discovered Krave Beauty through a YouTuber and decided to give it a try. It seems to have a soothing effect when applied to skin that's really acting up. For me, it feels too rich... From the moment I apply it, I sense more oiliness than hydration, so it doesn't feel as moisturizing. The morning after using this, my face is an oil slick. Because of this, while it seems to calm major blemishes, the excess oil sometimes causes small bumps to appear on otherwise clear areas. The scent isn't particularly pleasant either, so I don't find myself using it often. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinNov 27, 2020
My holy grail! GBR introduced me to tamanu oil for the first time. It's probably one of the first skincare products with tamanu oil. My skin is neutral, but if I had to be specific, it's closer to oily. In high school, my skin completely flipped, my texture worsened, I got acne scars, and even developed redness. But after discovering this serum, my skin has recovered! Ingredients: Tamanu oil! With a whopping 10% tamanu oil, it repairs the skin barrier and reduces redness, solving all my skin concerns. I'm so grateful for introducing me to this precious ingredient! (Sometimes I even add a bit more tamanu oil in the evening and mix it in.) It also contains safflower oil and rosehip oil, which are great for acne-prone skin, making this product recommendable for almost all skin types! Application: Despite containing 10% tamanu oil, it absorbs quickly into the skin and feels like a very light emulsion! Hydration: If you have dry skin, this alone might not be enough! I recommend using an additional emulsion. For normal/oily skin types, this product alone should be sufficient, especially in summer! Scent: There's no added fragrance, but it has the unique scent of tamanu oil, which is somewhat salty. Personally, it doesn't bother me. Size & Price: While it's definitely a lifetime purchase item, the small size is a bit disappointing, and the price is slightly on the higher side, so it hurts my wallet a bit. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 25, 2020
My skin was in terrible shape, so I bought this on a whim. After using it for about a month, I can definitely say my skin feels much healthier! The scent might take some getting used to at first, but you'll quickly become accustomed to it as you keep applying the product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 3, 2020
I originally bought this for my younger brother who has severe atopy, but a few months ago my skin completely flipped and became sensitive, so I stole his product. While I don't use it as often now (I'll explain why in the cons), I wanted to leave a review! 1. It balances oil and moisture perfectly! 2. It has great skin-soothing effects. 3. My blemishes and scars had increased, but they really faded quite a bit. 4. My skin just feels more firm? My sensitivity has improved a lot, so I can use other products comfortably now. To be honest, I'm not sure why this happens, but because my skin became so sensitive, I couldn't exfoliate for a while. At first, it was fine, but as summer progressed, my skin naturally became oilier than before. Every time I used this product, it felt like I was getting more blackheads? When I used this, I really didn't use almost any other products. I couldn't exfoliate then, so I kept my distance from it for fear of getting more blackheads. So, I highly recommend it for sensitive skin! But if you have oily skin, I'm not so sure. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 27, 2020
This product is absolutely amazing! I'm usually too lazy to write reviews, but this one compelled me to share. In my early twenties, I had blemish-free skin, but suddenly last year my skin went haywire. I've tried various cosmetics, but this product shows the fastest results by far. Some reviews mention a scent, but I find it quite neutral. While it doesn't have an artificial pleasant fragrance, it's much milder compared to other strongly scented skincare products. The only downside is the small size. I wish they'd offer a larger volume option. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 18, 2020
1. Absorbs well The texture is easy to spread smoothly without feeling heavy It feels more like an emulsion than a cream 2. Great ingredients + Introduction to tamanu oil! I bought this because tamanu oil is said to be good for dark spots and blemishes and works well for sensitive skin. I used to mix jojoba oil with a gentle cream, but it was a hassle and I ran out, so I bought this as an all-in-one solution. I have sensitive combination dehydrated skin with large pores, but this didn't cause any breakouts and provided decent hydration. It contains oil, so there's a slight shine, but I only use it at night, so it's fine. I'm on my 3rd bottle now, and when I use it consistently, my blemishes seem to fade a bit?? Maybe it's just my imagination lol Honestly, I don't expect much since cosmetics aren't medicine.. I didn't use all 3 bottles consecutively, so I might not have seen the full effects.. 3. Pump bottle I like that it comes in a pump bottle. I really dislike jar packaging because of dust :( 4. Brand They don't seem to be a brand that churns out products.. It seems like the CEO pays a lot of attention to skincare, which was part of why I chose it 1. The price and limited purchasing options Will it ever go on sale? The price is a bit burdensome. I've thought about buying it with other products, but I don't really need anything else.. I wish they had more product variety 2. The scent > It's a love-it-or-hate-it thing Honestly, I like that it doesn't have that artificial fragrance smell.. But it's become my husband repellent lol He doesn't come near me on days I use this.. (he says it smells like rubber) After using 3 bottles, I've gotten used to it Someone said it smells like soil, but to me it's more like herbal medicine? I like it~~ Maybe because I also like things like Guieae x pads, I don't mind it 3. Surprisingly..? I use it up quickly Without realizing it.. I find myself using it sparingly.. lol Unless you have extremely dry skin with no oil at all, it's best to use this at night. It doesn't pill under makeup, but since my T-zone tends to get very oily, I only use it at night. When you first try it, it's a good idea to test it on the jawline between your face and neck.. It's perfect to use just this after applying a mild toner without active ingredients. It seems best not to use too many products together with this. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 6, 2020
As someone with typically oily skin, I was a bit concerned, but this product is a perfect match for me. Despite being oil-based, it absorbs incredibly quickly and leaves a fresh finish. It's been particularly effective in calming my skin when it's sensitive and prone to breakouts due to hormonal changes, drinking, or environmental factors like dust. I've also noticed it helps reduce redness with regular use. I'm on my second bottle now, using about two pumps each time, and it lasts quite a while. With daily use, a bottle seems to last about two and a half months. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the packaging could be improved. As for the scent, it might be divisive, but personally, I enjoy the tamanu smell, so it's a plus for me. When my skin is acting up, I skip everything else and just apply this after using a super hydrating toner. By the next morning, I can feel how much it's calmed my skin. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 22, 2020
Skin condition: - Combination dehydrated skin that's sensitive and prone to blemishes My skin was in such bad shape that when it would flare up, I'd get blemishes on my forehead and face, and it would even get itchy at times - that's how sensitive it was. After much deliberation, I watched Director Pi's YouTube video and decided to buy this product. I've been using it since last summer, and my skin, which used to flare up frequently, hasn't had any severe reactions since using this product. It hydrates my skin from deep within, making it look healthier! When I do have a flare-up, applying this before bed helps calm it down to some extent. It really feels like my skin barrier is getting stronger. This is truly my holy grail product! Since I have combination dehydrated skin that's particularly lacking in moisture, I use a cheap oil and moisture meter I bought online. If it shows my skin is very dehydrated, I apply this product twice! Director Pi mentioned that using one product twice is more effective than using multiple products. Just be careful not to apply too much when doing a second layer! If you're dry like me, applying twice works well. Even with two layers, if you control the amount well, it absorbs quickly without feeling too rich. Note: I didn't use any other products with this. The downside is that for highly sensitive people like me, you always need to be careful with the amount you use. Recently, after 6 months without any flare-ups, my skin acted up. In my eagerness to fix it, I applied too much product, which actually made it worse. If you apply too much on irritated skin, it can exacerbate the problem. When you over-apply, you can really feel the skin getting too rich... For toner, I used Mamonde's Chamomile product as an exfoliating toner, then applied this product thinly twice. Since this is an all-in-one product, I heard it's good for sensitive people to do a skincare diet. I used only this product, and it worked great on its own! Except for extremely dry days, when I used other products, my skin actually became oilier and prone to blemishes!
