  I have oily skin with lots of excess sebum and blemishes. I've been using this product for over 10 years, and it has significantly improved my skin concerns, making it a staple in my routine. I was worried it might have been discontinued! It's great for calming the skin, especially when followed up with a calendula emulsion for an extra soothing effect.

  Cons

  If you apply a moisturizer immediately after using the Blue Herbal toner, it can cause pilling and white residue. However, this can be avoided by waiting a bit between steps. It's such a shame that this product has been discontinued...

  I really like it. The menthol gives a refreshing sensation and effectively removes facial oils. Even without powder, it seems to delay the time it takes for oil to resurface. However...

  Cons

  Why didn't I see the numerous reviews mentioning it pills like dead skin? It pills with sunscreen and everything else. This is really disappointing. It's so inconvenient that I'll probably switch to a different toner.

  Even with my super oily skin, this stuff makes me feel like I've got dry skin the next day. It's incredibly satisfying!

  Cons

  It pills like crazy even when I apply another Kiehl's product on top. Women might find it challenging to apply makeup over this.

  As someone with oily skin, this toner completely eliminates facial oil. It controls sebum on my nose and leaves my skin with a beautiful glow. It's like my skin has been transported back to how it felt after visiting hot springs! All my blemishes and tiny bumps have disappeared - it's amazing. I used to struggle finding the right toner for oily skin and had almost given up, but this has become my holy grail for my skincare routine.

  Cons

  After applying this toner and following up with a cream or gel, everything pills. It creates white, flaky residue that rolls off like dead skin cells.

  Tip

  For makeup application, I recommend using this toner first, then following with an oil-based toner to help with absorption, and finally applying your moisturizer.

  After cleansing, when I gently swipe this toner across my skin, it feels wonderfully soft. However...

  Cons

  I can't apply emulsion after this. While there are some emulsions that do work, using this toner causes everything to pill. So when I use this, I have to give up on applying emulsion altogether.

  After using a foam cleanser, I apply this with a cotton pad, wiping gently. Seeing the impurities on the pad gives me a sense that my face is getting truly clean. When I follow up with a slightly richer skincare product, it feels like my skin achieves the perfect balance.

  Cons

  First-time users might notice significant pilling when applying creams afterward. Those with dry skin types should absolutely avoid using this product.

  To prevent pilling when applying creams, don't rub for too long. After toner, quickly spread the cream and then pat it in to help absorption.
