The pink base with ivory tones eliminates the typical grayish cast of BB creams. No darkening effect. No particular drawbacks. It's slightly more matte compared to creamier BB creams. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 7, 2025
I've been using this BB cream since my student days and I just can't quit it! When choosing a BB cream, I prioritize long-lasting wear, no ashy cast, and good coverage - and this product checks all those boxes! Finding the right BB cream can be such a struggle, but after extensive testing, I've finally found my holy grail base product! When you first use it, the pump doesn't dispense anything no matter how many times you press it. It only started working after I pumped it more than 20 times! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 31, 2024
After using it consistently for about three months, here's my review: Pros: Unlike typical BB creams, the color is great. No ashy tones at all, feels more like a foundation with good coverage. No darkening effect. You can snag it on sale for just $9 on Coupang. As someone with skin sensitive to chemical sunscreens, I often break out badly with organic UV filters in sunscreens or foundations. Thankfully, this doesn't contain those ingredients, which is a huge plus. Cons: The original formula... Right after application, it looks matte and pretty, but it breaks down terribly. Maybe due to lack of oils, it gets super dry, cracks, and pills up. I wonder if there's any skin type this would look good on alone... even with my oily skin. But don't worry, there's a way to make it work. I'll share my tips below... After trying various methods like applying serums beforehand or using beauty devices to boost absorption, I discovered the secret: Mix a pea-sized amount of this BB cream with Etude House Volumizer! Don't apply the Volumizer to your skin first (it'll break down messily and the excess oil might irritate your skin). Instead, blend the two on your palm to alter the texture, then apply with your fingers. Use a damp Daiso expandable wedge puff (PU material) to pat it in. This prevents breakdown, leaving you with a dewy, beautiful finish with minimal oil. Honestly, this BB cream is useless without the Volumizer, but... it's salvageable and its pros outweigh the cons, so I'll keep using it. Since I have sensitive skin, I use it alone, but you could mix it with a hydrating foundation for more coverage! Still, if they're considering a reformulation, I'd love to see a new version that feels like it's already mixed with the Volumizer. That would be perfect! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 14, 2023
I'm currently using this product for the second time. When I first tried it, I absolutely loved it. After trying other products, I ended up throwing it away as it had expired, but the fond memories made me repurchase it. Color: First off, unlike typical BB creams, this product's beige color has no ashy undertones, which is a huge plus. Skin Appearance: While it's not a high-coverage product, it doesn't apply thickly. When applied all over, it gives a subtle glow and creates a beautiful complexion. Adherence: It initially applies moistly but later becomes slightly matte and adheres to the skin. It's perfect for my combination dehydrated skin! It can slightly separate on dry areas like around the mouth or cheeks. Those with dry skin might find it drying if they don't prep their skin properly. It doesn't provide extremely high coverage. It doesn't cover pores. If you have large pores like me, powder is a must! Recommended for those looking for a BB cream without ashy undertones! Also great for anyone wanting to achieve a natural, effortless skin makeup look! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 1, 2023
This BB cream doesn't have that typical grayish cast, instead it gives a radiant finish like a foundation. It's beautifully matte while still allowing for a lovely skin texture. While the color payoff is truly beautiful, the fragrance is overwhelmingly strong. It irritates my nose every time I apply it, which discourages me from using it often. I've noticed a few questionable ingredients too, but I wish they'd at least remove the fragrance. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 12, 2022
This product applies lightly and thinly, just like the best BB creams. It creates a skin finish that's neither too dry nor too oily. Even when it starts to wear off, it doesn't develop a grayish cast or darken excessively, even without powder touch-ups! This seems to be a product that enhances good skin but might accentuate imperfections on problematic skin. When my skin became very dry during the seasonal change, applying this product made the dead skin cells more noticeable. It works better with a puff than with fingers, and it's best used when your skin is well-maintained and hydrated. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 3, 2021
I bought this BB cream looking for one without an ashy tone, that applies thinly, and feels lightweight. It's exactly what I had in mind, so I've been using it for a long time. It's great for daily use. I didn't buy it expecting high coverage, just for evening out my skin tone. I prefer applying thin layers as I don't like heavy makeup. It feels light and comfortable without any heaviness. What I love most is that it doesn't have an ashy tone. The color leans more yellow than pink, and it does a decent job of covering pores. The finish is semi-matte. In summer, since I have oily skin, I used a primer around my nose area, but not in colder weather. It seems to work well with different application tools. I applied it with the Skinfood wedge puff, which gives a matte finish, so I had to be careful not to apply too much or it could look cakey. It might be better to use a tool that gives a more hydrated finish. It's not as hydrating as I expected, so in cold weather, it can make dry skin flake a bit. You'll need to pay attention to moisturizing before application. Don't expect too much in terms of coverage - it's just for evening out skin tone. Of course, it improves if you layer it 2-3 times, but when I did that, it started to clump around my eyebrows and forehead in the afternoon. I wish the color was a bit brighter. It only brightens the complexion by half a shade, which is a bit disappointing. When wearing a mask, it tends to come off in areas where there's friction, and it can pill if your skin isn't in good condition. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSep 18, 2021
The color blends well without any grayish tint, giving a natural foundation-like finish It's a bit oily and caused blemishes to appear. I developed small pimples... I stopped using it after a few tries. The fragrance is also quite strong... Someone gave it to me to try, but I'm not impressed - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 31, 2021
My honest review of this product I bought with my own money: 1. It's a lazy girl's dream - so easy to apply. Just roll it on with your hands and pat it in. 2. No darkening effect. 3. Even with mask-induced wrinkles around the nose, a quick smoothing with your fingers does the trick. 4. As someone with redness and large pores due to heat sensitivity, I find rolling it carefully over problem areas works wonders. I'll share a pro tip later! 5. Great staying power. Even after rolling around in bed or sweating under a mask, just smooth out any marks with your fingers. 6. Applies smoothly without feeling greasy. Suitable for both dry and oily skin types. 7. I have sensitive skin all over (even Sketer syndrome, sadly), but this doesn't irritate at all. I'm picky about ingredients too! 1. Honestly, the coverage can't compete with foundation. 2. If you're going for a full glam look, it might feel a bit lacking. BB creams have thicker particles than foundations, which is great for covering large pores. That's why I use BB cream! I prioritize concealing redness and pores over full coverage. My skin is super sensitive, so I've tried almost every BB cream out there - CellFusion, Iope, Laneige, Sulwhasoo, AHC, Chrismer, Dr. Jart, etc. I hated the grayish cast they left. By the time I got home, my face looked dark and damp! This is the best BB cream I've tried. Oh, and here are some pro tips! 1. First, gently roll a small amount with your hands to fill in pores. Then, apply a bit more and pat it in. Use a cushion puff to set it and improve longevity. Finish with a light dusting of fine powder for even smoother pore coverage and better staying power. This is a must in summer and when wearing masks! 2. For perfect coverage, use a small amount of concealer on areas like under the nose and dark spots. 3. Don't apply it thick from the start. Use small amounts for longer-lasting wear. Honestly, if you want full coverage, this might not be for you. But for those who want a simple makeup routine, I highly recommend it! It's perfect for work or running errands. If I could rename this product, I'd call it 'Foun-BB' (between foundation and BB cream). - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 3, 2020
It's easy to apply with quick strokes and leaves a soft, matte finish. The lack of grayish tint makes it look natural and radiant. It brightens and evens out the skin tone, giving a naturally luminous complexion. The downside is that it's not effective at covering blemishes or acne.
