The pink base with ivory tones eliminates the typical grayish cast of BB creams. No darkening effect. No particular drawbacks. It's slightly more matte compared to creamier BB creams. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 31, 2024
After using it consistently for about three months, here's my review: Pros: Unlike typical BB creams, the color is great. No ashy tones at all, feels more like a foundation with good coverage. No darkening effect. You can snag it on sale for just $9 on Coupang. As someone with skin sensitive to chemical sunscreens, I often break out badly with organic UV filters in sunscreens or foundations. Thankfully, this doesn't contain those ingredients, which is a huge plus. Cons: The original formula... Right after application, it looks matte and pretty, but it breaks down terribly. Maybe due to lack of oils, it gets super dry, cracks, and pills up. I wonder if there's any skin type this would look good on alone... even with my oily skin. But don't worry, there's a way to make it work. I'll share my tips below... After trying various methods like applying serums beforehand or using beauty devices to boost absorption, I discovered the secret: Mix a pea-sized amount of this BB cream with Etude House Volumizer! Don't apply the Volumizer to your skin first (it'll break down messily and the excess oil might irritate your skin). Instead, blend the two on your palm to alter the texture, then apply with your fingers. Use a damp Daiso expandable wedge puff (PU material) to pat it in. This prevents breakdown, leaving you with a dewy, beautiful finish with minimal oil. Honestly, this BB cream is useless without the Volumizer, but... it's salvageable and its pros outweigh the cons, so I'll keep using it. Since I have sensitive skin, I use it alone, but you could mix it with a hydrating foundation for more coverage! Still, if they're considering a reformulation, I'd love to see a new version that feels like it's already mixed with the Volumizer. That would be perfect! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 31, 2021
My honest review of this product I bought with my own money: 1. It's a lazy girl's dream - so easy to apply. Just roll it on with your hands and pat it in. 2. No darkening effect. 3. Even with mask-induced wrinkles around the nose, a quick smoothing with your fingers does the trick. 4. As someone with redness and large pores due to heat sensitivity, I find rolling it carefully over problem areas works wonders. I'll share a pro tip later! 5. Great staying power. Even after rolling around in bed or sweating under a mask, just smooth out any marks with your fingers. 6. Applies smoothly without feeling greasy. Suitable for both dry and oily skin types. 7. I have sensitive skin all over (even Sketer syndrome, sadly), but this doesn't irritate at all. I'm picky about ingredients too! 1. Honestly, the coverage can't compete with foundation. 2. If you're going for a full glam look, it might feel a bit lacking. BB creams have thicker particles than foundations, which is great for covering large pores. That's why I use BB cream! I prioritize concealing redness and pores over full coverage. My skin is super sensitive, so I've tried almost every BB cream out there - CellFusion, Iope, Laneige, Sulwhasoo, AHC, Chrismer, Dr. Jart, etc. I hated the grayish cast they left. By the time I got home, my face looked dark and damp! This is the best BB cream I've tried. Oh, and here are some pro tips! 1. First, gently roll a small amount with your hands to fill in pores. Then, apply a bit more and pat it in. Use a cushion puff to set it and improve longevity. Finish with a light dusting of fine powder for even smoother pore coverage and better staying power. This is a must in summer and when wearing masks! 2. For perfect coverage, use a small amount of concealer on areas like under the nose and dark spots. 3. Don't apply it thick from the start. Use small amounts for longer-lasting wear. Honestly, if you want full coverage, this might not be for you. But for those who want a simple makeup routine, I highly recommend it! It's perfect for work or running errands. If I could rename this product, I'd call it 'Foun-BB' (between foundation and BB cream). - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 6, 2020
For me, it didn't cause any darkening, the color didn't turn ashy, and it felt lightweight - I really liked it! When mixed with other foundations, it seems to create a truly beautiful complexion. I couldn't really find any drawbacks to mention! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 7, 2020
I loved the variety of colors and how the shades didn't have that typical BB cream muddiness. Plus, it's great that it doesn't darken over time! It's extremely drying, unfortunately. I had it on for about 8 hours during testing, and my skin felt really parched. The only way to describe it is... powdery? Also, the coverage is disappointingly low. I think it might work as a brightening moisturizer in the height of summer, but for now, it's tucked away in my drawer after testing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 4, 2020
This BB cream turns on the spotlight for your skin! The packaging is a pump bottle, giving it a luxurious feel for a BB cream. It definitely improves on the typical grayish tint of BB creams. The color is wonderfully bright - a light ivory shade, which I loved the most. It offers medium to high coverage without any darkening, which is great! It's so easy to apply thinly with your fingers, making it perfect for makeup beginners. The texture is rich and sets to a semi-matte, slightly powdery finish. It adheres well to the skin too. As someone who hates when hair sticks to my face, I love semi-matte formulas, and I'm very satisfied with this product. It's not particularly hydrating, and the application isn't as smooth as the Dr. Jart BB cream I used before. It seems more suitable for summer than winter. The grayish one in the photo below is the Dr. Jart Silver Label BB cream. Mixing the Blanc BB and Silver Label in a 2:1 ratio works perfectly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 25, 2020
I was skeptical about this new product despite the positive reviews, but I'm really satisfied after trying it. It's even better than the Yuri Pibu BB cream I used before. Compared to Yuri Pibu, the texture is slightly thinner, and in shade 21, it has a bright peachy tone. When applied, it gives a radiant look, doesn't darken throughout the day, and has impressive longevity for a BB cream. The pump-style container can be inconvenient and might get messy with prolonged use. I wish it were fragrance-free, but it has a sweet scent that might become unpleasant as the weather gets warmer and summer approaches. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 23, 2020
Missha BB cream is perfect for light makeup application. The Missha M Perfect Blanc BB spreads thinly and evenly across the face without feeling heavy. Its brightening effect helps even out dull skin tone, giving a radiant complexion! It absorbs well, though the coverage is a bit light. It maintains its effect for hours without darkening or becoming dull. Perhaps because it's a BB cream, the coverage seems to be on the lighter side. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 20, 2020
I chose this base product for its hydrating properties in cold weather. I'm pleased that it doesn't cause darkening, and the variety of shades available is a plus. It blends well when mixed with matte foundations too. Overall, I'm using it comfortably without any issues. While I haven't found any major drawbacks yet, it does have that slightly heavy feeling typical of BB creams when applied. On my skin, it doesn't feel extremely moisturizing (though it doesn't create shine or oiliness), but rather provides a balanced finish. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 15, 2020
No clogged pores, no darkening, and great staying power! I wore this alone with just powder for over 12 hours, and only my nose area showed some wear while the rest stayed intact. Usually, foundations cake up and break down on me, but this one doesn't! It also blends well with other foundations. The absorbs well is excellent too. I haven't noticed any drawbacks yet! Well, maybe the light coverage? But since I prefer using concealer for coverage anyway, it wasn't a big issue for me. I love how thinly it applies when I spread it with my fingers and then pat it in with a puff.
