Unlike traditional wash-off masks, this one doesn't harden. I tried applying it both thinly and thickly, and I noticed that the cooling effect was definitely more pronounced with a thicker layer. One day, I applied it and sat by an open window - it felt incredibly refreshing!
ConsWhile it claims to provide gentle exfoliation for dead skin cells, I'm not quite sure about its effectiveness in that area. One downside is that you need to wipe it off multiple times. There are times when my skin becomes super sensitive, and during those moments, even using a sponge to remove the mask can cause a tingling sensation. I usually try to rinse it off with water only, but it still takes over 5 minutes to remove completely.
TipDue to wearing masks during the COVID-19 pandemic, my pores have enlarged and I've developed redness. I never had concerns about pores or redness before. So, I used this product along with a modeling mask, and the double cooling effect made my face feel incredibly refreshed. It was absolute bliss!

First off, this product is nicknamed the 'Houttuynia Cordata Pack' because it contains real Houttuynia Cordata leaves, which are said to help soothe skin quickly. However, I didn't notice any soothing effects personally. I might need to use it more to see results. I've seen reviews saying the amount is small and you'd use it up quickly after 5 uses, but I think I could get about 10 uses out of it. The texture is like a moisturizing soothing gel with a slight cooling effect, which would be great for summer. I usually find masks heavy and avoid using them, but I liked that I could control the amount with this product. Absorption isn't super fast, so I recommend applying thin layers gradually. After using this product, my face felt more supple and soft. I liked how it kept my skin hydrated without any deep dryness.
ConsPersonally, I felt a slight tingling sensation when applying it. It wasn't severe, but there was a bit of discomfort. That said, it didn't cause any blemishes. Overall, it was okay, but I probably wouldn't spend my own money on it again.
TipIt comes with a sea sponge, which I found really useful. Because of the Houttuynia Cordata leaves, the sea sponge helped clean more thoroughly. I wouldn't recommend using a silicone brush though, as the leaves get stuck in between and it's hard to clean. Anyway, I hope my review was helpful!

It's a shame, as I felt each one was essential. I've used this product twice. The texture is extremely moisturizing, slightly sticky, and has a slippery feel. When applying with a spatula, it spreads smoothly without any dripping. If you use it right after cleansing when your skin feels a bit tight, you'll experience incredible hydration. About five minutes later, when rinsing with just water, it feels slippery. However, if you use the included sponge dampened with water to gently wipe it off, the Tea Tree Purifying Mask comes off cleanly. There's no residual slipperiness - your skin feels soft, clean, and refreshed.
ConsFor those who tend to be a bit lazy with skincare, the application process might feel cumbersome. Also, when applied to areas with blemishes, it can sting quite a bit. To be honest, the stinging sensation was uncomfortable enough that I never left it on for more than five minutes. I tried it again two days after my initial use, hoping for a different result, but it stung just the same - only in the troubled areas, mind you. I'm not sure if it's due to the tea tree ingredient, but regardless, it definitely stung. For those with combination dehydrated skin like mine - slightly dry on the surface with a bit of oiliness and occasional blemishes - you might experience this stinging sensation too.
TipIf you avoid applying it to areas with blemishes, you can feel the distinctive, refreshing sensation of the tea tree ingredient. However, it may sting if applied to areas with open wounds or active breakouts. This is my personal conclusion after trying the product. Apart from that, I found it to be a great hydrating mask that leaves your skin feeling refreshed after cleansing.

This is The Hwahae Testers reporting in. My skin type is sensitive and combination. When I first received this product, my skin was feeling hot, with excess oil, and in need of some serious calming. So I decided to try it right away! I thought it might be best to store it in the fridge, and using it chilled was indeed quite refreshing. The cooling effect, possibly from refrigeration, really seemed to soothe and refresh my skin. I was able to apply it comfortably without any stinging sensation. As tea tree generally works well for me, I felt like I experienced significant calming effects.
ConsHowever, after applying and wiping it off with a sponge, my skin felt somewhat irritated. There was also a slight tingling sensation. Don't expect much in terms of hydration. Also, don't anticipate any significant improvement in your complexion.
TipMake sure to keep it in the fridge when using! Rather than expecting it to brighten your complexion, I'd recommend this for quick soothing when you don't want to use a sheet mask. It's especially good for those who respond well to tea tree!

I was selected as a tester and had the opportunity to try the Bonavella Tea Tree Purifying Mask. First off, I have combination dehydrated skin that's prone to blemishes during my menstrual cycle, making it quite sensitive. With the warmer weather, my sebum production has increased significantly, and my pores have become more noticeable. 🔹 Packaging When I initially applied to be a tester, I saw product photos showing a jar-type container, which made me concerned about hygiene during use. I worried that direct hand contact might contaminate the product. However, when I received the package, I was pleasantly surprised to find a spatula and sponge included. This attention to detail in hygiene was impressive. Using the spatula allowed me to apply the product cleanly without direct hand contact. 🔹 Texture and Application When I first scooped out the product with the spatula, it reminded me of aloe gel, and I thought it might be too runny. Surprisingly, it had a thick consistency that didn't drip even when applied generously, allowing me to multitask during the mask treatment. I was also impressed by the visible Houttuynia cordata leaves in the product. I initially worried they might irritate my skin, but the mask spread smoothly without any discomfort. Using the sponge to remove the mask followed by a water rinse left no residue, which I appreciated. 🔹 Effectiveness I stored the mask in the refrigerator and used it chilled, thinking the cooling effect would enhance its soothing properties, especially in summer. As you can see in the photo, I had some blemishes and redness. After masking for about 20 minutes, I removed it with the damp sponge and rinsed with water. I was amazed at how quickly it calmed a large pimple on my cheek. The yellow pus had visibly reduced to just a slight redness. The overall redness on my skin was significantly reduced, and my complexion looked brighter, suggesting good brightening effects. The cooling sensation and tea tree ingredients seemed to help with pore tightening as well. The hydration was excellent, leaving my skin feeling moisturized and comfortable long after rinsing.
Cons🔸 Skin Irritation While the mask didn't cause any new blemishes and had excellent soothing effects, I did experience some itching and tingling during use. This initially made me worry that it might worsen my skin condition. 🔸 Price vs. Quantity The regular price of 45,000 won for 80ml seems relatively expensive. As it's a gel-type wash-off mask for soothing, applying it generously means you might use it up quite quickly. Despite these two drawbacks, the dramatic soothing effect on my skin was so impressive that I plan to repurchase it after finishing the product provided for testing.

I've been struggling with mask-related blemishes lately, so I was excited to try this product. For reference, I have acne-prone, dry skin. Effectiveness: Compared to my usual wash-off mask (Papa Recipe's Eggplant Mud Pack), which helps reduce redness, this Bonabella Tea Tree Pack improved my skin texture and evened out my complexion! Texture: When first applied, it has a typical sticky, moisturizing consistency. But the real magic happens when you wash it off - it's fascinating how it swells up when it meets water. Now I understand why it comes with a sponge! You need to gently wipe it off with the sponge for a thorough cleanse.
ConsThere's a slight tingling sensation after it's been on for a while. However, it's so mild that it doesn't really bother me.
TipLately, I've been too lazy for a full skincare routine, so I've been using this as a cleanser followed by just the Skin&Lab Sleeping Pack. The combination works great - they're both so rich and complement each other well.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsHere's my 'Hwahae Testers review' after using the product for 2 weeks: Skin type: Sensitive + Acne-prone + Combination-dry *Scent: It has a unique herbal scent that's hard to describe. I'm not sensitive to fragrances, so I used it without issues, but those who are slightly sensitive to scents might find it a bit uncomfortable. *Texture: It has a slightly runny pudding-like consistency! I'd describe it as a gel type! It's easy to scoop with the included spatula and applies smoothly on the skin. There are small Houttuynia cordata leaves in it, but they don't feel rough or irritating on the skin when applied. *Pros: As the product name suggests, it contains tea tree and Houttuynia cordata, which are great for soothing the skin! When I sleep with this mask on, my skin feels hydrated the next morning. Recently, my skin was in terrible condition, and while I can't say it completely calmed down, the larger blemishes have gradually subsided. The product comes with a spatula and sponge, so you don't need to buy separate tools for application, and it's more hygienic since you're not using your hands. As someone with combination-dry skin, I usually experience intense deep dryness right after washing my face. But if I apply this mask for about 20 minutes before my skincare routine, the deep dryness is noticeably reduced compared to before using the mask!
Cons*Cons: While the leaves in the product don't irritate the skin, depending on my skin condition, I sometimes feel a slight tingling sensation when applying the mask. Although I received this product as part of the Hwahae Testers program, if I were to buy it with my own money, the price might be a bit burdensome. Also, when washing off the mask, it takes several rinses to remove it completely if using just your hands. So, you need to gently wipe it off with the included sponge, which is a bit of extra effort. There's also no separate storage for the spatula, so you'll need to keep it clean and dust-free.
TipWhile using a thin layer is moisturizing, if you have an important event the next day, try applying a generous amount! It's incredibly hydrating!! If you have sensitive skin or don't react well to tea tree, I recommend doing a patch test before applying it to your face.

After washing it off, people around me mentioned that my skin tone looked brighter. Most importantly, my pores, which never seemed to improve no matter what I used, have become smaller. For a comparison review, I tested it with my middle school daughter. Her severe acne calmed down, and the prominent dead skin cells were cleared up. My daughter absolutely raves about it! It's even better for your skin than you might expect, and with each use, you'll notice your bare face looking more and more radiant.
ConsDuring my first use, I was hesitant and applied only a thin layer, which caused a tingling sensation. My daughter, however, applied it thickly and said it felt fine. That's when I understood why the instructions say to apply a thick layer. When using the sponge to cleanse, it washes off well, but there might be a slight stinging sensation. However, if the sponge irritates your skin and you try to rinse with just water, it doesn't come off easily.
TipHere's my pro tip: I strongly recommend tying your hair back before using this product. If you don't, your hair tends to stick to the mask and it's hard to wash out.

My skin is also super sensitive and reacts to many ingredients. So, I was pleased that this product has gentle ingredients! The texture is somewhat gel-like, or should I say it has an elastic consistency, which doesn't run when applied to the face!
ConsRight after applying it to my face, I didn't feel anything, but soon a burning sensation appeared. Overall, there was a warm feeling, and one spot where I had blemishes felt particularly tingly. It seemed a bit irritating for my skin. Also, I'm not sure if it's because of this product (it could simply be due to my hormones), but 2-3 hours after using it, something appeared on my chin - I'm not sure if it was a pimple or an allergic reaction. It swelled up like a mosquito bite. At first, it was small, but it quickly swelled to the size of my pinky fingernail. I guess I'll have to visit the dermatologist tomorrow, and once my skin calms down, I'll need to try this product again to see if it was the cause.

Even though it doesn't contain artificial fragrances, it has such a pleasant natural scent that I kept wanting to smell it again and again. Texture: The consistency was perfect - thick enough not to drip, which made it so convenient to use. Unlike regular sheet masks that tend to drip essence everywhere when you're trying to apply them, I could walk around with this one on without any issues. Calming effect: I had some painful, under-the-skin blemishes, and this mask noticeably reduced the discomfort. While the pain did return after about 10 minutes, there was an immediate soothing effect.
ConsDryness: It felt a bit drying as the mask set on my skin. The first time I used it, I experienced a slight tingling sensation, though this varied depending on the area of my face. Brightening: I couldn't really notice any significant brightening effects. There were some areas of my face that had a slight green tint for a few minutes, probably due to the plant extracts. Downside: As someone who wears glasses, it was inconvenient not being able to wear them while using the mask, for fear of the product transferring onto the lenses.
TipI applied it only on areas with blemishes for targeted relief and to soothe discomfort.
