  As someone with allergy-prone skin that easily reddens and suffers from burning sensations and redness, I researched this product before purchasing and using it. It's a gel-type mask that stays put without dripping and is easy to apply and rinse off. With tea tree and houttuynia cordata ingredients, it's great for blemishes, so you can use it frequently without irritation and it seems to have definite effects. It worked better on small bumps rather than major blemishes, and I've noticed my skin temporarily brightening and, most importantly, it's helping calm my main concern of redness!

  Cons

  After masking, it takes a while to rinse off due to its slippery texture, so you need to wipe it off once first and then cleanse to remove all residue completely. Apart from the somewhat inconvenient removal process, it's generally good overall.

  Pros

  As the seasons changed, my skin became a bit sensitive. When I feel like blemishes might appear or my face feels hot, using this immediately calms everything down. My complexion becomes clearer, my skin tone brightens, and it's just great all around. It seems to work well for dry skin too, as there's no feeling of tightness at all.

  Cons

  The only downside is... it's expensive? You do need to use a bit more water when cleansing, but it's convenient with the sponge that comes with it.

  This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I used my regular skincare routine and applied this mask twice a week. Skin type: Super sensitive, normal, with redness and blemishes. 1) Blemish relief Before using, I had three pimples, but they disappeared after using the mask and sleeping! I was surprised by how quickly it worked. 2) Application It didn't drip after applying, which was great. I could move around without having to lie down! Even a thin layer was effective. 3) Cleansing It comes with a spatula and sponge. The sponge removes the mask very well. Without it, some tea tree leaves might remain on your face. The instructions say to remove the mask with the spatula first, then use the sponge, but I found it difficult to remove with the spatula when applied thinly. I recommend using the sponge! 4) User experience There's a cooling effect when applying, and it adheres well to the skin. It doesn't drip, so you can move around after application. As I have very sensitive skin with redness, I felt some warmth after applying. Please note that I tend to feel warmth with most wash-off masks.

  Cons

  There weren't really any downsides! The product might be a bit pricey... It would be nice if they made a larger size. It's a shame I received it a bit late due to the delivery strike.

  Try using a sponge or cleansing device when washing off!

  Pros

  After experiencing side effects from Mi*na, including weight gain and persistent blemishes, I was feeling quite stressed. Then I was lucky enough to be selected for the Hwahae Testers program and got to try Bonabella's Tea Tree Purifying Mask. I've nearly used up the entire jar, and I've noticed a significant improvement in my skin. My blemishes have calmed down, and the texture of my skin has really improved. It seems to have an excellent effect on dead skin cells and pore care. I've even noticed that my cushion foundation applies more smoothly now.

  Cons

  The price is a bit steep, unfortunately. Also, since it's a wash-off mask, it can be a bit of a hassle to use. I recommend keeping it visible near your sink to remind yourself to use it regularly.

  Tip

  For areas with severe blemishes, apply a thicker layer. Before washing it off, gently remove some of the excess. Then, use a thoroughly dampened sponge to cleanse your face - this ensures it's removed properly!

  The jelly-like texture stays soft until the end, keeping the surface moist, which I loved. Most wash-off masks tend to harden on the surface by the time you rinse, causing irritation during cleansing. The scent is mild yet not artificial. It instantly brightens the complexion and provides a slight soothing effect (for red spots, emerging inflammatory blemishes, or mild bumps) - not dramatically, but enough to make you think, 'Oh, this is pretty good! It could be a real gem with consistent use.' As someone with super sensitive skin, I experienced absolutely no irritation. There was no burning or itching during the 20-minute application. The included spatula is surprisingly useful, especially when removing the mask. When applying, it takes a bit of skill to spread evenly without removing the product. It's nice to see the actual ingredients with the naked eye. While fully dissolved ingredients might be more effective, seeing them is visually pleasing and reassuring, making you feel like, 'At least this much is in there.'

  I was fortunate to try this as a Hwahae Tester, but the regular price is quite steep. As someone who likes to apply masks generously, I'd probably use it up quickly. Even with thin application, it might last about 10 uses. Post-rinse hydration: It feels fresh and nice, but as it's focused on soothing rather than moisture, it's not overly hydrating. It's best to finish with proper skincare. Especially after using products with anti-inflammatory ingredients like tea tree, good moisturizing is crucial. I found it beneficial to layer hydrating toners, serums, and creams with some time between applications for absorption.

  Tip

  Cover your lips when applying. It worked well to apply a thin layer of lip balm, cover with the mask, and gently massage when washing off. Since the texture stays gel-like without hardening, I bravely applied a bit around my eyes (I have super sensitive skin), and it didn't sting! However, be cautious not to apply too much or too close to the eyes due to potential risks. After rinsing, I followed with Cellmax Noni Toner -> Torriden Toner -> Dr. Different Vita Acnal TX Night Cream (on chin, around mouth, and a few spots on cheeks) mixed with Nine Wishes Moisture Cream, gently patting -> Then either Torriden Dive-In Serum, Nine Wishes Hydra Ampule, or Wellage Moisture Ampule, whichever I felt like. Allowing sufficient absorption time between each step (2-3 minutes, about 5 minutes for cream) worked well. If I felt I needed more right before bed, I'd apply Bontery Milk Steam Cream or Origins Drink-Up Intensive Mask (the green tube with avocado), leaving my face glowing in the morning. Rather than recommending these specific products, consider this as a suggestion for the types of textures, hydration levels, and functions that worked well in this order.

  I have combination skin that gets dry in winter. While I don't have acne, when occasional blemishes pop up, I applied this mask and felt it really helped calm and reduce them, probably due to its high tea tree content.   The Hwahae Testers! For oily, acne-prone teenage skin: - Scent: I'm extremely sensitive to fragrances, but this had a refreshing tea tree scent. There wasn't much artificial smell, so I was very satisfied with the fragrance. - Blemishes: My skin was in terrible condition due to exam stress and my period, but surprisingly, my blemishes improved significantly! - Hydration: I wondered if my skin would still feel moisturized after washing off the mask, and wow, it really did! The hydration level was just right, not too much. - Texture: This product has an aloe gel-like texture with excellent absorption. I thought it might feel strange when applying because it looks like pudding, but the application was actually very pleasant. - Cooling effect: Being a gel type, I expected it to be cool, but it was even more refreshing than I imagined!   [The Hwahae Testers Review] After using it 4 times, here's my review! 📌Cooling effect & Soothing sensation It felt incredibly cool upon application and gave a soothing sensation. The redness from acne on my cheeks noticeably calmed down. However, it's not the kind of soothing where you see an immediate dramatic reduction in redness! 📌Scent The fragrance isn't overpowering! It's hard to describe precisely, but it smells similar to houttuynia cordata. It has a slightly sweet and fresh scent! As someone who's very sensitive to fragrances, I found it agreeable. 📌Texture & Application The bouncy gel-type texture is slippery but doesn't run, which is great. It's generously packed with houttuynia cordata leaves. The application is smooth and easy, gliding on effortlessly! I experienced no irritation at all. 📌Spatula & Sponge I appreciated the included spatula and sponge set. The spatula allows for hygienic application, and the sponge makes it easy to remove the slippery wash-off pack. While the sponge wasn't irritating to my skin, I didn't feel it was particularly high quality.

  📌High price and small quantity I found the price and quantity disappointing. The amount is so small that even though I only applied it to my acne-prone cheeks, it would probably run out after 5-6 full-face applications. Perhaps because I had high expectations due to the price, I didn't feel the product was exceptionally good for its cost. While I'm satisfied enough to consider repurchasing, from a consumer perspective, I think more people would buy it frequently if the price was lowered, if it went on sale more often, or if the quantity was increased! 📌Dryness after use As it's a soothing mask, my skin definitely feels dry after washing it off.
