  Pros

  Unlike peel-off masks that can leave skin feeling dry, this wash-off mask leaves my skin feeling hydrated. I love how it preps my skin for the next steps in my routine, allowing products to absorb beautifully. The ingredients are great too! I bought two tubes and I'm still using them with great results!

  Cons

  Rinsing it off can be a bit challenging. You need to wipe it off with a sponge before washing. Otherwise, you might end up spending 20 minutes trying to rinse it off with water alone!

  Tip

  Bonavella does provide a tiny sponge with their masks, but it's too small to be practical. I recommend getting a larger sponge to have on hand!

  It's gentle and nice. After using it, my face doesn't feel tight but rather moisturized. I'd say it seems to have a good soothing effect.

  As the seasons changed, my skin became a bit sensitive. When I feel like blemishes might appear or my face feels hot, using this immediately calms everything down. My complexion becomes clearer, my skin tone brightens, and it's just great all around. It seems to work well for dry skin too, as there's no feeling of tightness at all.

  Cons

  The only downside is... it's expensive? You do need to use a bit more water when cleansing, but it's convenient with the sponge that comes with it.

Scent: ★★★★★ (5.0) I'm not particularly sensitive to fragrances, but this product seems almost unscented to me. Great for those with fragrance sensitivities! Texture & Effectiveness: ★★★★★ (5.0) I'm extremely satisfied. It has a silky smooth feel, and the abundance of tea tree leaves gives it a fresh appearance. The mask doesn't dry out, so there's no tightness. After removing it with the sponge and rinsing with lukewarm water, you can immediately see a soothing and brightening effect. It's a truly satisfying product.

  Cons

  Drawbacks: ✔ High price point for the amount of product ✔ Difficult to remove without the provided sponge ✔ Not very effective at removing stubborn dead skin cells I forgot to use the sponge once and tried rinsing with just lukewarm water - it was quite difficult to remove the product completely. If you lose the sponge, removal might be a bit inconvenient. Also, at 80ml, it's quite pricey, which might make frequent use a bit burdensome. While I'd recommend this mask for winter hydration and brightening, it didn't help much with exfoliation. It's best used as a gentle, soothing hydration mask.

  Tip

  Honey Tip for Use! For even better results, try storing it in the refrigerator instead of at room temperature. The cool sensation seems to calm sensitive and red skin more quickly. It feels amazing to use like an aloe vera pack!

  * Hydration As winter approached, the areas where my mask touched became extremely dry. Most moisturizers weren't effective, so I resorted to using thick lip balms for care. When I first used this mask, I was amazed at how it instantly hydrated those dry areas. It also had a calming effect on my acne-prone skin and improved my overall skin texture, making it soft and smooth. Unfortunately, I didn't see the same level of results after the first day.

  Cons

  * Irritation After using it for three consecutive days, my skin became noticeably rough, and new blemishes appeared, so I stopped using it. I waited for about 3 days before trying the mask again. While the results weren't as dramatic as the first day, the areas with small bumps became incredibly smooth. I recommend this as an occasional treatment. * Sponge Quality When cleansing, the leaves didn't wipe off easily, so I used the included sponge, which seemed to irritate my skin quite a bit. Also, the sponge became very hard every time it dried, and even after cleaning it with foam cleanser, it started to yellow after just three uses. The quality of the sponge needs improvement.

  Tip

  I think the hydrating effect was more significant on the first day because I applied the mask after cleansing and using an emulsion. It was much more effective than applying the mask right after cleansing. Also, to minimize irritation, I found it best to gently wipe with the sponge twice and then rinse off the rest with water.

  I have combination skin that gets dry in winter. While I don't have acne, when occasional blemishes pop up, I applied this mask and felt it really helped calm and reduce them, probably due to its high tea tree content. I loved that it stayed moist for a long time without drying out, and my skin felt hydrated without any tightness even after washing it off.   As a side note, I used to have sensitive skin, but my skin type changed a bit during pregnancy. After being lucky enough to win this product, I used it consistently for two full weeks before writing this review. During the two-week period, I didn't experience any major blemishes. However, due to the dry winter weather, my skin was extremely parched, so I applied this right after removing my makeup. Perhaps due to its gentle ingredients, I didn't experience any particular skin issues even after using it for about two weeks. I had high hopes for the brightening effect, but it wasn't as significant as I expected. This might be due to the short usage period (just 2 weeks). However, it definitely seemed to help with impurities and sebum control. I have really oily skin around my nose area, but after using this, the sebum was noticeably reduced, so I've stopped using my volcanic ash pore pack.

  Cons

  I'd say there were as many disappointing aspects as there were good points. Visually, it looks like green water with seaweed floating on top - not very appealing. When you apply it to your face, it's quite shocking! The texture isn't extremely sticky, but it's thicker than a typical emulsion. I had high hopes for its hydrating effects when I applied for this test, but as I mentioned about the texture, the moisturizing effect falls short of expectations. Before removing it with a sponge, your skin feels smooth, but after washing with lukewarm water... that smooth feeling completely disappears. To be honest, I'm not sure if it really calms the skin...? Maybe it's because I haven't been exposed to harsh outdoor conditions lately.

With the sudden cold snap, even my oily skin felt parched, and my skin barrier seemed compromised, leaving my complexion rough and flaky due to lack of hydration.
