The scent is absolutely lovely. Maybe it's because I love the tea tree fragrance, but it seems to bring peace to my mind as well. It helps manage dead skin cells, and since I tend to have oily skin, I use it regularly for maintenance. After use, my skin feels so hydrated that I don't even need to apply emulsion!
ConsPerhaps due to its quality, it's a bit on the pricier side. Also, when removing the mask, it can be a bit slippery and tricky to wash off, so you need to be thorough in cleansing.
TipIt's a must-use when air pollution is at its worst, and it's effective for managing oily skin. I'd recommend using it once or twice a week for best results.

First off, the soothing effect is truly excellent. Even without refrigerating, it gives a cooling sensation on the face. The finish is moisturizing and refreshing. As it's a wash-off mask, there's no lingering oiliness - it's really focused on hydration and calming the skin. Plus, the scent isn't artificial, but rather a subtle, natural fragrance that's quite relaxing. Wearing this mask isn't stressful at all; it's actually a healing experience.
ConsI wish the volume was a bit more generous. I tend to apply it liberally, believing that's how to get the best results, so maybe that's why I'm running out quickly. The quantity seems a bit small for the price!
TipWhen I use this wash-off mask, instead of rinsing it off immediately after wiping with a sponge, I like to dampen my face slightly and massage it a bit more before removing. This gives my skin an extra smooth feeling. As mentioned earlier, while it provides hydration, it doesn't offer long-lasting moisture, so remember to follow up with a cream to lock in that hydration!

There are bits that look like Houttuynia cordata leaves, which gives the impression they might be beneficial for the skin. After use: The application feels incredibly gentle, and it surprisingly cooled down my overheated skin more than I expected. As it's a wash-off pack, you're supposed to rinse it with water, but I was concerned about washing away the active ingredients. So, I used a sea sponge, which resulted in better skin condition the next morning. While I can't say this dramatically improved my skin, it's fantastic when applied after extracting acne. It feels like a professional dermatology routine - two thumbs up! As someone addicted to extracting small acne bumps almost daily, applying this afterwards is truly soothing. Honestly, it hasn't visibly faded my acne scars or reduced small bumps, but I believe it's made my skin healthier than before by providing beneficial active ingredients. My skin generally responds well to Houttuynia cordata, so I used this without any blemishes. If Houttuynia cordata works well for you, I'd recommend giving this a try without hesitation.
ConsI wish Bonabella would conduct their own toxicity and pesticide residue tests to verify the product's safety for consumers.
TipHighly recommend using a sea sponge for application.

Most wash-off masks tend to harden on the surface by the time you rinse, causing irritation during cleansing. The scent is mild yet not artificial. It instantly brightens the complexion and provides a slight soothing effect (for red spots, emerging inflammatory blemishes, or mild bumps) - not dramatically, but enough to make you think, 'Oh, this is pretty good! It could be a real gem with consistent use.' As someone with super sensitive skin, I experienced absolutely no irritation. There was no burning or itching during the 20-minute application. The included spatula is surprisingly useful, especially when removing the mask. When applying, it takes a bit of skill to spread evenly without removing the product. It's nice to see the actual ingredients with the naked eye. While fully dissolved ingredients might be more effective, seeing them is visually pleasing and reassuring, making you feel like, 'At least this much is in there.'
ConsI was fortunate to try this as a Hwahae Tester, but the regular price is quite steep. As someone who likes to apply masks generously, I'd probably use it up quickly. Even with thin application, it might last about 10 uses. Post-rinse hydration: It feels fresh and nice, but as it's focused on soothing rather than moisture, it's not overly hydrating. It's best to finish with proper skincare. Especially after using products with anti-inflammatory ingredients like tea tree, good moisturizing is crucial. I found it beneficial to layer hydrating toners, serums, and creams with some time between applications for absorption.
TipCover your lips when applying. It worked well to apply a thin layer of lip balm, cover with the mask, and gently massage when washing off. Since the texture stays gel-like without hardening, I bravely applied a bit around my eyes (I have super sensitive skin), and it didn't sting! However, be cautious not to apply too much or too close to the eyes due to potential risks. After rinsing, I followed with Cellmax Noni Toner -> Torriden Toner -> Dr. Different Vita Acnal TX Night Cream (on chin, around mouth, and a few spots on cheeks) mixed with Nine Wishes Moisture Cream, gently patting -> Then either Torriden Dive-In Serum, Nine Wishes Hydra Ampule, or Wellage Moisture Ampule, whichever I felt like. Allowing sufficient absorption time between each step (2-3 minutes, about 5 minutes for cream) worked well. If I felt I needed more right before bed, I'd apply Bontery Milk Steam Cream or Origins Drink-Up Intensive Mask (the green tube with avocado), leaving my face glowing in the morning. Rather than recommending these specific products, consider this as a suggestion for the types of textures, hydration levels, and functions that worked well in this order.

While I don't often get blemishes, when they do appear, they're stubborn and leave lasting marks. My skin is quite sensitive. [Scent] A natural, subtle herbal aroma [Texture] Feels like applying an aloe gel with tea tree and houttuynia cordata leaf extracts [Quantity] Some reviews mentioned the small amount, and while the gel-type formula does seem to deplete faster than other wash-off masks, it's not a major concern. However, considering the price, the volume isn't particularly generous. The Bonabella Tea Tree Purifying Mask is likely familiar to beauty enthusiasts. I discovered it through Instagram group buys and was intrigued, but as a student, I found the price daunting. Winning the Hwahae Testers review opportunity was a great honor. When using masks, my top priorities are: ▫️Is it gentle? ▫️Does it cause itching or stinging? ▫️Does it trigger blemishes? To sum up, this mask satisfied all three criteria. 1. Is it gentle? It's crucial to check for harmful ingredients, as using products blindly can worsen skin conditions. The Hwahae app confirms this product has safe ingredients, allowing for worry-free use. 2. Does it cause itching or stinging? Does it trigger blemishes? As mentioned, I have extremely dry and sensitive skin. Even with masks known for gentle ingredients, I often had to remove them before the recommended time due to stinging or itching. Surprisingly, this product caused no irritation whatsoever. It also didn't trigger any blemishes. [Effects] - Immediate cooling sensation upon application - Brightens complexion - Improves skin texture (skin feels softer, and skincare products absorb better after use) - Reduces skin temperature, giving a pore-tightening effect [Pros] - Unlike other wash-off masks, it doesn't dry out, preventing skin tightness during use - Includes a sponge and spatula for hygienic application - Quick and easy to rinse off (especially when using the sponge)
Cons[Drawbacks] - While a single use provides immediate cooling, complexion improvement, and skin brightening, I didn't notice significant blemish-calming effects from one application. - The product is undoubtedly good, but due to its high price, I might opt for a more affordable mask with similar effects. - Skin feels quite tight after cleansing.
TipI found massaging it off with lukewarm water more effective than using the sponge. Highly recommend this method!

For oily, acne-prone teenage skin: - Scent: I'm extremely sensitive to fragrances, but this had a refreshing tea tree scent. There wasn't much artificial smell, so I was very satisfied with the fragrance. - Blemishes: My skin was in terrible condition due to exam stress and my period, but surprisingly, my blemishes improved significantly! - Hydration: I wondered if my skin would still feel moisturized after washing off the mask, and wow, it really did! The hydration level was just right, not too much. - Texture: This product has an aloe gel-like texture with excellent absorption. I thought it might feel strange when applying because it looks like pudding, but the application was actually very pleasant. - Cooling effect: Being a gel type, I expected it to be cool, but it was even more refreshing than I imagined! I was worried it might not be cold enough in a warm room, but it was still wonderfully cooling and satisfying.
Cons- Applicator: The stick-like applicator that came with the package was a bit inconvenient to use. - Rinsing off: Because of its gel texture, it was slightly challenging to wash off completely.
TipWhen cleansing, try removing the mask first with the sponge that comes in the package, then rinse with water. This method makes the cleansing process quicker and easier!

The redness from acne on my cheeks noticeably calmed down. However, it's not the kind of soothing where you see an immediate dramatic reduction in redness! 📌Scent The fragrance isn't overpowering! It's hard to describe precisely, but it smells similar to houttuynia cordata. It has a slightly sweet and fresh scent! As someone who's very sensitive to fragrances, I found it agreeable. 📌Texture & Application The bouncy gel-type texture is slippery but doesn't run, which is great. It's generously packed with houttuynia cordata leaves. The application is smooth and easy, gliding on effortlessly! I experienced no irritation at all. 📌Spatula & Sponge I appreciated the included spatula and sponge set. The spatula allows for hygienic application, and the sponge makes it easy to remove the slippery wash-off pack. While the sponge wasn't irritating to my skin, I didn't feel it was particularly high quality.
Cons📌High price and small quantity I found the price and quantity disappointing. The amount is so small that even though I only applied it to my acne-prone cheeks, it would probably run out after 5-6 full-face applications. Perhaps because I had high expectations due to the price, I didn't feel the product was exceptionally good for its cost. While I'm satisfied enough to consider repurchasing, from a consumer perspective, I think more people would buy it frequently if the price was lowered, if it went on sale more often, or if the quantity was increased! 📌Dryness after use As it's a soothing mask, my skin definitely feels dry after washing it off. I have combination dehydrated skin, and it felt a bit drying for my skin type. This might vary depending on individual skin types.
Tip- Since it's slippery and doesn't wash off easily, I highly recommend using the included sponge to remove it! - If you have the same skin type as me, I strongly suggest applying plenty of moisturizer after washing off the mask.

Many wash-off masks have intense fragrances that can give me headaches, but this one doesn't at all. The moment you apply it, you feel a cooling effect, which I thought would be really helpful for my skin that tends to feel hot. Even after 20 minutes, it doesn't harden completely, making it easy to remove. After using this mask, the small blemishes on my skin improved. I like it so much that I'm considering repurchasing it once I finish this one.
ConsWhile there aren't any major downsides, if I had to point out something, it's that the product seems to run out quickly because you need to apply a thick layer each time. This might make it less cost-effective. Also, it seems to work best when left on for a while. One day when I was in a hurry, I washed it off right after showering instead of waiting the usual 20 minutes, and the effects were noticeably less impressive.
TipMake sure to use a sponge to remove the mask. It helps get rid of any residue and leaves your skin texture feeling much better after cleansing.

I love that it removes invisible pollutants and impurities! On days with high pollution, it feels like my skin can't breathe, but this mask not only cleanses but also soothes my skin. The scent isn't harsh at all - it's more of a cool, refreshing fragrance. Though it looks like it might be sticky, it's not at all! When you apply the mask, it feels cool, and it stays moist for the full 20 minutes without drying out. That means no skin tightness afterwards. After using it, I think my complexion looks brighter too - or is that just my imagination? I'm absolutely in love with this product!
ConsIt comes with a sponge and spatula for application, but I often end up just washing the mask off without using the sponge. I keep meaning to grab it, but I forget and just hop in the shower. Without the sponge, the mask is quite slippery and takes a while to wash off completely. I guess that's why they include the sponge! If you're removing it without the sponge, you'll need to rinse several times with lukewarm water, so remember to use the sponge!
TipThis mask would be great to use on days when your face feels puffy. The cooling effect should help reduce swelling nicely.

I have thin skin. The gel-like texture makes it easy to apply smoothly without dripping or falling off. The tea tree scent isn't overpowering, which I appreciate. I couldn't even smell it once applied to my face. What I loved most was how gentle and cooling it felt on the skin, helping to reduce heat and inflammation. When I used it, I didn't have any active acne wounds, just a couple of small bumps on my chin. While it didn't immediately clear those up, it significantly reduced the redness and heat on my cheeks, which I often struggle with. My skin felt hydrated even after cleansing, allowing my skincare products to absorb well afterwards. I was initially worried about potential irritation based on some reviews, but I experienced no stinging at all. It was very gentle on my skin. I'm definitely planning to repurchase this product. I'm very satisfied with the results!
ConsSince it's a gel-type product, when applied thickly, it can be a bit inconvenient to remove with just the provided sponge. You might need to rinse multiple times. To make it easier, I used a silicone mask brush to remove the bulk of the product, then used the dampened sponge to clean off any residue. This method worked much better and was gentler on my skin. Apart from this, I don't have any other complaints. I'm satisfied with everything else. The only other slight drawback might be the price-to-volume ratio, which is a bit steep. If you apply it thickly, you might not get more than 8 uses out of it. However, even considering the price, I still think it's a great product for balancing oil and moisture levels in the skin, thanks to its gentle and soothing properties.
TipFor an enhanced cooling effect, try storing it in the refrigerator. This makes the mask extra refreshing throughout the entire application. This product seems particularly beneficial for those prone to cystic acne or who frequently experience facial flushing and redness.
