  Pros

  This review is based on using up the entire container! Initially, I was pleased because it immediately made my complexion look brighter. I was using it without any issues, but then when I tried to use this mask to soothe my skin after it had been irritated by other cosmetics...

  Cons

  Suddenly, it seemed not to agree with my skin, and 6 large blemishes appeared... I was shocked to see such significant blemishes right after washing off the mask. Perhaps it was because my skin was already in poor condition that the reaction was so severe. Many other reviews mentioned its soothing effects and improvement of blemishes, so I tried this mask to calm my irritated skin, but it actually made things worse. I feel like my skin has reached a point of no return... I was about to repurchase as I was nearly finished with the container, but after this incident, I don't think I'll ever be able to use it again.

  Tip

  There's an immediate brightening effect on the complexion, though it's unclear if this is temporary. Using it when your skin is not in good condition might actually have the opposite effect.

After reading other reviews praising its soothing effects, I tried it with some skepticism. To my surprise, the next day, those pesky blemishes had noticeably subsided! Cooling sensation: ★★★★★ I kept it at room temperature to avoid potential spoilage in the fridge, but it still felt incredibly refreshing when applied! As my skin temperature dropped, I noticed a reduction in redness after using the mask (though it was temporary - the redness would return if I bent over or got a bit warm).

  Cons

  Irritation: ★★★ Initially, I wanted to rinse it off with water to avoid irritation from using a spatula and sponge, but the gel-like texture made it really difficult to wash off. I ended up using the spatula and sponge, which seemed to irritate the larger blemishes - they became red. This irritation seemed to counteract the calming effects of the mask. Tolerance: After using it daily for over 4 days, my skin seemed to develop a tolerance. Instead of calming my skin, it started to cause itching.

  When removing the gel with a spatula and sponge, be extremely gentle! Handle your skin as delicately as you would a baby to avoid irritation.

  1. While the formula glides on smoothly at first, it becomes stickier over time. When it's time to rinse, the gel doesn't mix well with water, requiring multiple rinses which can be irritating. 2. Although it felt soothing right after use, for some reason, I woke up the next day with tiny blemishes all over. I tried the mask a couple more times, but now my chin, cheeks, and forehead are covered in even more of these small bumps. It's so frustrating! (This seems rare - there was no itching or burning, but everyone's skin is different. I'm not sure what caused it, but this was my experience... sigh) However, if you don't experience these issues, I highly recommend this product! The hydration, immediate soothing effect, and cooling sensation are definitely its strong points! 3. Being a wash-off mask, it might not be the most convenient option for a quick and easy masking session.

  My skin became super sensitive due to the prolonged COVID situation. When I use products that don't suit me, my forehead breaks out, or I experience itching and redness. So, testing products has become essential for my skin. -Pros- 1. It applies lightly. Unlike other wash-off masks that tighten your face after a few minutes, making it uncomfortable to open your mouth, this one dries light and moisturizing, allowing free movement. 2. While I didn't notice much on the day of use, the next morning, I could see a significant reduction in redness as soon as I opened my eyes. 3. I'm quite sensitive to fragrances, but I didn't find this one unpleasant or overwhelming.

  Cons

  Personally, I'd rate the positives at 60 out of 100, with 40 points for areas of improvement. While the redness subsided by the next morning after use, I noticed itching as time passed. During application, I felt itchy in several spots but couldn't scratch, which was frustrating. A beauty YouTuber highly recommended this product, so I had high expectations. However, it fell short for me. Given the steep price, I probably won't repurchase once I finish this. Interestingly, my skin actually improved and blemishes disappeared when I stopped using this product.

  Tip

  - Don't apply it too thinly. Use a generous layer for the satisfying experience of gently scraping it off later with a spatula, removing what hasn't been absorbed by the skin. - After gently wiping off with a sponge, rinse with lukewarm water. I always finish with a splash of cold water for that extra refreshing feel.

  ⭐️An incredibly honest review from a lucky Hwahae Tester winner⭐️ Unfortunately, I couldn't upload all 6 photos I took due to file size limitations. It's a shame, as I felt each one was essential. I've used this product twice. The texture is extremely moisturizing, slightly sticky, and has a slippery feel. When applying with a spatula, it spreads smoothly without any dripping. If you use it right after cleansing when your skin feels a bit tight, you'll experience incredible hydration. About five minutes later, when rinsing with just water, it feels slippery. However, if you use the included sponge dampened with water to gently wipe it off, the Tea Tree Purifying Mask comes off cleanly. There's no residual slipperiness - your skin feels soft, clean, and refreshed.

  Cons

  For those who tend to be a bit lazy with skincare, the application process might feel cumbersome. Also, when applied to areas with blemishes, it can sting quite a bit. To be honest, the stinging sensation was uncomfortable enough that I never left it on for more than five minutes. I tried it again two days after my initial use, hoping for a different result, but it stung just the same - only in the troubled areas, mind you. I'm not sure if it's due to the tea tree ingredient, but regardless, it definitely stung. For those with combination dehydrated skin like mine - slightly dry on the surface with a bit of oiliness and occasional blemishes - you might experience this stinging sensation too.

  Tip

  If you avoid applying it to areas with blemishes, you can feel the distinctive, refreshing sensation of the tea tree ingredient. However, it may sting if applied to areas with open wounds or active breakouts. This is my personal conclusion after trying the product. Apart from that, I found it to be a great hydrating mask that leaves your skin feeling refreshed after cleansing.

  I was so eager to try a product with tea tree and centella asiatica... I finally gave it a shot, but it seems it's not for me.

  While I had the mask on, it felt fine and I didn't notice anything unusual. However, when I went to remove it, I gently wiped with a sponge and felt some irritation on my skin. It was so slippery that it seemed difficult to remove with water alone, so I wiped it off completely with the sponge and then rinsed with water. Afterwards, the area around my eyes, nose, philtrum, and forehead became noticeably red. My skin also felt really dry. I'm not sure if it's because of the orange oil listed as a potential irritant in the ingredients, or if I accidentally left it on for 10 minutes too long, or if my skin just doesn't agree with centella or tea tree. Whatever the reason, it didn't work for me. It feels like I just wasted my money...

  As a member of The Hwahae Testers, I'm excited to share my review! I loved that they included a sponge and spatula with the product.   I've had great experiences with tea tree products for soothing my skin, so I was eager to try this. Unfortunately, something in the formula didn't agree with my skin.   Pros

  First off, I have combination dehydrated skin with excessive oil on the surface but dryness underneath. My skin is also super sensitive and reacts to many ingredients. So, I was pleased that this product has gentle ingredients! The texture is somewhat gel-like, or should I say it has an elastic consistency, which doesn't run when applied to the face!

  Cons

  Right after applying it to my face, I didn't feel anything, but soon a burning sensation appeared. Overall, there was a warm feeling, and one spot where I had blemishes felt particularly tingly. It seemed a bit irritating for my skin. Also, I'm not sure if it's because of this product (it could simply be due to my hormones), but 2-3 hours after using it, something appeared on my chin - I'm not sure if it was a pimple or an allergic reaction. It swelled up like a mosquito bite. At first, it was small, but it quickly swelled to the size of my pinky fingernail. I guess I'll have to visit the dermatologist tomorrow, and once my skin calms down, I'll need to try this product again to see if it was the cause.
