So I tried this one, and while it's much less stiffening, I found more drawbacks.
ConsCompared to the Tea Tree, it produces less lather (though still a decent amount). It seems to contain more ingredients for hair shine, which might be why it gets oily faster than the Tea Tree version. However, it doesn't make the hair super soft either. The texture is quite runny, so when you try to lather it in your hands, it tends to slip through your fingers.

The formula is unique compared to other shampoos - it's transparent and thin, with small, soft bubbles. While I'm not usually a fan of squeeze bottles, this pump dispenser is neat and easy to control the amount. At first glance, the package might seem small, but it's actually quite wide, containing more product than expected. Considering the ingredients and discounted price, it's a good value. It doesn't seem to make my hair get oily quickly, and it's suitable for the whole family. This is my initial impression after a short period of use. I'll update if I notice anything different later on.
ConsThe thin consistency means I often spill some when using it. It doesn't lather as much as other products - I need 2-3 pumps for enough foam (for medium-length hair). I also find it inconvenient that the opaque bottle doesn't show how much is left. The cleansing experience is gentle, which is good, but it can leave a feeling of being not fully clean. I usually shampoo twice due to oily hair, and most shampoos leave a squeaky-clean feeling after the second wash. This one doesn't. While this might be due to its gentler ingredients, for those with oily hair, it might feel a bit unsatisfying. In the long run, this type of product is likely better for the scalp than conventional shampoos. However, its inability to immediately control oiliness is disappointing. That said, if you're looking for a non-irritating shampoo, this could be perfect. It's not that the shampoo itself is bad, it just doesn't suit my personal preferences. I'd recommend it for those with sensitive scalps.

The lightweight texture spreads easily and lathers up nicely.
ConsI can't think of any particular downsides. The only thing worth mentioning is that the thin consistency tends to run a bit, but that's not really a negative.

Cons- However, it was disappointing that the fragrance didn't last very long. - The liquid-like consistency of the product makes it difficult to dispense the right amount without it running through your fingers.

While I was using the same brand's Jojoba Tea Tree shampoo, I was selected for The Hwahae Testers, allowing me to try both products simultaneously. Although I was already satisfied with the Jojoba version, I found the Rosemary Mint shampoo equally pleasing. Despite being free from harsh chemicals, it lathers impressively well. I've tried many gentle, natural ingredient shampoos from various brands, but Dr. Alga truly stands out with its excellent lather and cleansing effectiveness. The scent is a herbal mint as the name suggests, which wasn't overpowering at all and didn't linger after rinsing. (While I miss having a lasting fragrance, I believe it's more important to avoid artificial fragrances.) This product truly delivers on being both gentle and effective as a shampoo!
ConsIt's not exactly a drawback, but compared to the Jojoba Tea Tree shampoo and other shampoos, this one is a bit thinner in consistency, making it prone to dripping. Also, despite being labeled as 'VOLUMIZING', it had absolutely no effect on my limp hair.

However, I didn't experience any buildup over time! This might be because I have a very oily scalp, so it should be sufficient for most people. ·Fragrance: 4/5 The scent is natural and not artificial at all! It puts you in a good mood while washing your hair. The only downside is that the fragrance doesn't last long, probably because it's not too strong.
Cons·Texture: 2/5 It's too runny! It feels more fluid than other shampoos, which makes it a bit inconvenient to use. Also, it doesn't lather well. ·Cooling effect: 1/5 I was expecting a cool sensation on my scalp since it's a mint shampoo, but there was no such feeling at all, which was disappointing. ·Post-wash feel: 2/5 My hair feels very stiff after use. A conditioner is absolutely necessary.
TipI think it works better when you wash your hair twice rather than just once!

My hair is very fine, lacks strength, and is prone to split ends and sun damage. 1. Fragrance - I love rosemary and mint scents, so I'm quite pleased with the fragrance. It's not overpowering, just a subtle aroma. While the lingering scent after rinsing is minimal, I personally prefer this as I'm not fond of strong fragrances to the point where I don't even use perfume. 2. Ingredients and Lather - As someone who joined Hwahae to research product ingredients before purchasing, especially now that I'm pregnant and extra cautious, I felt reassured by the ingredient list. I didn't experience any tingling or irritation on my scalp while using it. The lather is just right - not too thick, and it rinses out easily. My previous shampoo had such a dense lather that it was difficult to wash out. 3. Hair Texture - Overall, my hair feels softer than before. For context, I rarely use conditioner or treatments as I'm always short on time - I usually just shampoo and apply a hair essence. Compared to my previous T* shampoo, which left my hair feeling stiff, this one leaves a much softer finish. I'll be passing my old shampoo to my husband and sticking with this one! 4. Flakes and Dandruff - While a week's use might not be enough to fully assess this, I haven't had any issues so far. I'll need to use it longer to give a more comprehensive review.
Cons1. Consistency - Compared to other shampoos, this one is quite runny. It often drips when I'm transferring it from my hand to my hair. However, one pump is still enough to create sufficient lather for my medium-length hair, though I should mention I have relatively thin hair. 2. Price vs. Quantity - I wish it came in a larger size for the price.
TipBe careful when dispensing to avoid spills!

Every time I washed it, I'd lose handfuls of hair. My scalp and hair were extremely damaged, and my sensitive scalp was prone to injuries. While searching for a natural shampoo, I discovered Dr. Alga! When I first opened it, I thought the strong mint scent might be irritating, but surprisingly, it wasn't at all. Despite using natural surfactants instead of synthetic ones, it lathered amazingly well compared to other brands! Most importantly, it significantly reduced my hair loss, which had been my biggest stress.
Cons1. After washing, my hair feels very stiff. You absolutely need to use a separate treatment and essence! 2. The formula is very watery, so when I first pressed the bottle without knowing, half of it spilled out. 3. While I was lucky to try this as part of the Hwahae Testers, it's on the pricier side.
