I really love Avène products, especially the Blue Gel! Whenever I have a little breakout or skin trouble before my period, I always apply it, and it calms my skin down so quickly. Especially if I apply the Blue Gel before bed and finish with the Cicalfate, my skin is so soothed when I wake up. A little goes a long way, so it's great value for the price!👍👍
Cons
It might not work as well for those with acne-prone skin. My sister has problematic skin and wasn't sure about the effects, but using it consistently with the Cicalfate does seem to gradually lighten her blemishes.

💖 This is a really great product!!! 💖 I first came across it as a free gift with purchase at Olive Young, and when I used it, my skin troubles disappeared the very next day! I was like, 'Is this really Avène?' and sure enough, it was. It's just perfect for calming the skin the day before. When I applied it to my skin that was cracked and wounded, it healed up quickly!! Since then, I've been sending this as a birthday gift to my friends..♥

I tried using it as recommended, applying it together with the Sos cream. It seems to have helped improve my skin troubles and redness. It's fragrance-free and true to its name, a blue-colored cream that has a balm-like Avène feel to it. I only applied it in the evenings, not before makeup, and my skin felt smooth and glowy when I woke up.
Cons
I may have applied more than the appropriate amount, but it didn't absorb well, and when I gently wiped my face, the blue gel would transfer. It seems I need to work on applying it in a way that allows for better absorption. There are also other similar products available, so this one may not be an absolute necessity.
Tip
It's best to use the Avène Sos cream along with this product. I'd recommend purchasing them as a set when they're on sale.
