The Avène Cicalfate SOS Cream was effective, but due to the mineral oil ingredient, blisters formed on my lips, so I switched to the Blue Gel. Both products are effective in improving skin damage, and I understand the Blue Gel is a lightweight gel type version of the SOS Cream!! I apply this product like a spot treatment on acne or scar areas and sleep with it, and it seems to calm down the acne and lighten the scars a bit. Cons
I bought it to use together with the Cicalpat cream, as they said the effects would be better that way. But after using the blue gel and then applying the Cicalpat cream, my face got even redder. So I just use it on its own now. Even when using it alone, I didn't feel much moisturizing or soothing effects. I wish it at least had some skin-repairing benefits.
