Vitamin C products usually show effects on my skin the next day, and I figured it wouldn't be good to use for long after opening, so I applied it not just under my eyes but all over my face. Surprisingly, the next day there were no blemishes, and my skin seemed brighter with seemingly smaller pores. Even though I felt a warming sensation when applying, which made me think there would be irritation, there was absolutely none... What's going on?? When I saw it said to use in the morning too, I tried it, and it even had an immediate skin-improving effect. I was amazed thinking, 'This is incredible!' Definitely a product I'll consider using consistently.
ConsI had no idea it would be this expensive... And the instant brightening effect? Well, that was due to the titanium dioxide, a physical sunscreen ingredient. Still, apart from the Calendula Toner, this is the second most appealing product from Kiehl's for me.
TipIf there's ever a day when it's on sale at a good price, I'd recommend it for those with sensitive skin who want to try a vitamin C product but are worried about irritation.

I was lucky enough to win the Kiehl's Eye Serum and I'm sharing my review after using it for a week. Though it's called a serum, the product has a cream-like consistency. I found it refreshing that a Vitamin C product was specifically designed for the eye area. It has a subtle lemon scent, and I appreciated that it didn't cause any irritation. There was a slight warming sensation, but nothing uncomfortable. The pump bottle is adorably designed and convenient to use. Unlike my previous eye cream, this one glides on smoothly without any stickiness. That's probably why it's called a serum. Personally, I really enjoyed the application experience. It feels lightweight on the eyes while still providing a firming effect, which made me reach for it often during my skincare routine. It applies quickly but seems to have good staying power. After a week of use, I'm not sure about any changes in wrinkles yet. I've noticed increased hydration and a slightly brighter under-eye area, but as for wrinkles, it's hard to say. Since changes in this area aren't immediately apparent, I'll need to keep using it to see definitive results. Nevertheless, it seems like an excellent product for consistent eye area care.
ConsThere wasn't anything I disliked about it. I thought Vitamin C products couldn't be used in the morning, but apparently, this one can. The instructions say to use it morning and night.
TipApply before your essence step! Remember to be gentle when applying around the delicate eye area!

I also liked that it comes in a pump bottle, which is hygienic. After using it for just over a week, I haven't noticed any dramatic changes, but my skin does seem a bit brighter! The best part is that it doesn't irritate my very sensitive eyes at all! No stinging or burning sensation, which makes applying it so comfortable - that's definitely its biggest advantage!
ConsDespite the pump bottle, it was initially difficult to control the amount dispensed. The pump isn't smooth and requires a firm press, sometimes causing too much product to come out at once. The thick texture tends to pill badly if you don't apply it in multiple thin layers. It's a bit disappointing that you need to pat it in for quite a while for it to absorb completely.

Velvety smooth texture I absolutely loved that there's almost no oiliness. I recently bought a popular eye cream from Hwahae, but it was too greasy, spreading all over my eye area, irritating my eyes, and clogging the pores below. This product, however, stays exactly where you apply it, with excellent staying power. 2. Great ingredients Despite being vitamin-concentrated, it feels incredibly gentle. It doesn't cause any blemishes, and for an eye cream, the ingredients seem quite good. 3. Absorption It absorbs quickly right where you pat or rub it in, and the long-lasting hydration is excellent, so I think it's great for moisturizing too.
ConsI didn't find anything particularly disappointing. However, as the product description suggests, it's probably difficult to see significant improvement in dark circles with cosmetics alone. Apart from that, it seems like a good product!

The texture feels slightly firm, but it applies smoothly and isn't sticky, which I really liked. There was no irritation, and I first applied it around my eyes, then used the remaining product on my hands to moisturize the typically dry areas around my nose and mouth. It helped prevent eye wrinkles and provided good hydration.
ConsWhile I didn't notice any dramatic changes, the overall gentle feel made me think it's worth using consistently.

The texture is more on the thick side rather than being super bouncy. It applies smoothly, which I liked. Unlike typical eye creams that can feel greasy, this one seemed to absorb nicely, leaving my skin feeling fresh without any tightness or dryness even the next day. Interestingly, I felt a slight warmth when I first applied it. I thought my hands might be warm, but I noticed the heating sensation when I massaged the product around my eyes. This warmth actually seemed to help with absorption, and I hardly noticed any stickiness.
ConsThe application was a bit tricky. When applied directly to dry skin, it seemed to pill slightly. To combat this, I found it helpful to warm the product between my fingers before applying it to my eye area. If you have dry skin, you might want to apply a generous amount of your regular skincare products before using this eye cream.
TipI found that warming the product on the back of my hand before applying helps it absorb more quickly, without needing to pat it in excessively.

To cut to the chase, there's no dramatic effect. But then again, what cosmetic product does? It probably helps prevent wrinkles from forming as a preventive measure. First off, you feel a warm sensation as soon as you apply it. I was unsure if it was safe for the eye area, but I didn't experience any irritation. My eyes didn't sting at all. It doesn't give an overwhelming sense of hydration, but it's like a thin film forms on your skin. It's more of a silicone-like layer, not a transparent, moisturizing one. I've been using it for just over a week now, and there have been no side effects. The effectiveness is still unclear. However, I've never really felt any particularly good effects from eye creams before. Some have even hurt my eyes, but this one at least keeps my eyeballs comfortable, which is a plus.
ConsI had amazing results with Kiehl's Vitamin C serum before, so I had high hopes for this one too. The vitamin serum had a tingling sensation and warmth when applied, and my skin looked fantastic the next day. I expected something similar this time... but I guess my expectations were too high, haha. It's just for the eye area, so how dramatic of an effect could it really have? Also, people with sensitive skin might find this difficult to use. Even though I have resilient skin, I can feel the warmth immediately when I apply it.

I'm usually cautious about using products with irritating or questionable ingredients. As a Hwahae Tester, I got to try this eye serum, and I'm pleased that it didn't cause any major irritation or blemishes. ⭐️Texture & Application When I first received it, the texture surprised me. I expected a runny serum, but it's actually more like a rich eye cream. Despite its consistency, it applies smoothly! It absorbs quickly with just a gentle pat, without leaving any residue, making it easy to layer other skincare products. ⭐️Hydration While it does provide hydration, it doesn't leave a greasy finish like some eye creams. If you have dry skin, you might want to follow up with a cream. For me, using this alone was sufficient. It should work well for normal, combination, or oily skin types! ⭐️Dark Circle Improvement I've only been using it for just over a week, so I can't speak much to its effectiveness for dark circles yet. I'm hoping to see results with consistent use. My dark circles aren't severe, so the effects might be subtle, but I'm looking forward to the hydrating and brightening benefits for my eye area!
ConsMy main concern isn't really about the product itself, but more a matter of personal preference - the texture. I generally prefer lighter formulas in my skincare routine, so this was slightly different from what I'm used to. However, it still absorbs well and has a nice application, which makes up for it! One thing to note: if you apply a bit too much, you might feel a slight warming sensation. It's not intensely hot or painful though. At first, I was worried because of my sensitive skin, but the warmth dissipates quickly. If you use a small amount, you barely notice it. Another potential drawback might be the price. Considering the amount you get, I might have to think twice about repurchasing. Other than that, I think it's a great, gentle product overall!
TipIf you experience a slight warming sensation like I did, try using a smaller amount!

Absorbs well I thought it would have a thin consistency since it's an eye serum, but it's thicker than expected. However, it applies smoothly and absorbs well when gently patted in. 2. No irritation to eyes Some eye creams are too oily and can cause discomfort when they spread and absorb, making your vision blurry and causing a foreign body sensation. This product, however, feels comfortable on the eyes. 3. Moisturizing Even a small amount leaves the under-eye area feeling hydrated. It's more like the moisturizing effect you get from a nourishing cream rather than just hydration. 4. No milia formation Lighter eye creams don't seem to protect the under-eye area well, while expensive, rich eye creams often cause milia. As someone who's always searching for the perfect eye cream, I've been using this for about a week and haven't noticed any bumps or issues under my eyes yet.
Cons1. Slight warming sensation As I have sensitive skin, I notice a slight warming sensation. However, it's so subtle that I'm not sure if I'm imagining it, and it doesn't cause any significant discomfort.

ConsThe amount is so small, haha... 15ml... I thought it was a sample Expensive for the quantity you get I'm using it hoping for results since it contains Vitamin C Honestly, I don't expect eye creams to make dark circles disappear. I always think cosmetics are just cosmetics I believe the best cosmetics are those that don't irritate the eyes and keep the area from getting dry In that aspect, I'm satisfied
