First off, this mask is absolutely packed with essence! The next day, my skin feels so firm and makeup applies beautifully. The lavender scent is universally appealing and really lifts my mood! The Tencel mask sheet is incredibly soft and gentle, causing no irritation at all! The fragrance might be a bit strong for some people, so those sensitive to scents may find it off-putting. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinMay 12, 2020
Usage experience: The sheet is thin and adheres well to the face. It's packed with essence, so it drips when you take out the sheet. It's best to gently press it before removing. And it's easy to unfold. I switched to this from other sheet masks and didn't experience any blemishes. The chin and philtrum areas are wide, so even though the philtrum part might touch your lips, it's suitable for those with broader features. The fragrance is subtle, so it shouldn't be polarizing. It provides decent hydration, making it suitable even for combination dehydrated skin. After masking and applying a moisturizer, my skin didn't feel tight in the early morning. The next morning, it feels like there's a protective moisture barrier left on the skin. It can feel slightly sticky. When I was about to break out on my chin due to hormonal changes, it prevented the blemishes from getting worse. It would be easier to unfold if they included a plastic sheet between the mask folds. The ingredients aren't great, so those with sensitive skin should avoid it. It's okay for daily use even for combination dehydrated skin types. In summer, try storing it in the refrigerator for a cooling effect that may help with puffiness. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 1, 2020
The fragrance is absolutely delightful. The sheet mask is thin, and the amount of essence is incredibly generous. Most importantly, you can visibly see how much it calms and soothes your skin. It's a matter of personal preference, but the noticeable scent might be divisive. Some people love it, while others aren't too keen on it. Here's a tip: Apply the leftover essence to a cotton pad and place it on your lips. It works wonders! - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 31, 2019
- Review from The Hwahae Testers - I had written this before, but somehow it disappeared, so I'm writing it again! When I first received it, I was amazed by the beautiful case and packaging! It's been 7 months since I started using it in October! This mask is best suited for fall and winter seasons! Here's my detailed review: Scent - It says it contains lavender essential oil, and it truly has a rich lavender fragrance! The scent isn't artificial or overpowering, but subtle and luxurious, making me feel like I'm getting a massage at a spa. It made the masking experience very enjoyable! Sheet - The texture is soft, and it's saturated with plenty of essence, making it non-irritating to the skin. There's so much essence that it rarely dries out. The size is standard, so it should fit various face shapes well! Hydration - Thanks to the abundant essence, it's very effective for moisturizing! Even though I have dry skin, I noticed that the hydration lasted until the next day after using the mask! I think the slight oiliness helped lock in the moisture, keeping my skin more hydrated! Time - It recommends 10-20 minutes of use, but I found that even 5-10 minutes was sufficient! I usually mask before bed, and I loved that I could achieve deep hydration in such a short time! Oiliness - I felt the oil content was a bit excessive for me! I don't usually use sticky products, but after masking, my skin feels very sticky and slightly suffocating. So rather than using it daily, I tend to use it when my skin is extremely dry or before special occasions. Also, when masking, the essence inevitably gets on my hair, which bothers me when sleeping. Sometimes I wished the mask was smaller! Seasonality - As expected, due to its richness, it's a bit heavy for use outside of fall and winter. When used in humid and hot weather, it seems to cause a warming sensation on the skin, sometimes leading to blemishes the next day! Better for fall and winter than spring and summer! Recommended for use when intense hydration is needed rather than daily use! I'd recommend this to those with dry skin, as it might be too heavy for oily skin types! If it feels too rich, try reducing the application time to find the right balance for you! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 9, 2018
Review from The Hwahae Testers winner: First of all, the best thing about using this product was the amazing scent from the lavender oil! The subtle lavender fragrance made me feel slightly healed when I applied it and lay down. For those with super sensitive skin, I recommend reading the ingredients list more carefully before purchasing! While I didn't experience any blemishes, there are some ingredients that might not be suitable for sensitive skin types, so you should be cautious! Keeping it in the fridge and using it as a mask gives an amazing cooling effect. The scent is fantastic too. It helps reduce morning puffiness and soothes redness well. I apologize for the late response. I didn't realize I had to post the Hwahae Testers review here and only replied via text message. I've already used 7 and have 3 left! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 8, 2018
I received this product through the Hwahae app as part of their tester program. The lavender essential oil has a subtle, pleasant scent. The relaxing Tencel sheet mask feels soft and comfortable. Personally, I really like this mask. That's why I'm sharing my thoughts. When I applied it to my skin, it felt soothing, which I appreciated. I've used about 4 sheets so far and had a positive experience each time. The package contains 10 sheets, each with 25ml of essence. I'm writing this review with gratitude to those who sent me this mask to try. There's nothing I dislike about it. It's hydrating and gentle, which I really appreciate. You can just use this alone without applying anything else. It's a high-quality product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 7, 2018
■This is an honest review from a Hwahae Tester winner. My skin type is combination with dehydrated oily areas. Except for my U-zone, my skin feels quite tight after cleansing. I usually prefer light, hydrating creams over rich moisturizers, but the JayJun Essential Firming Up Mask felt like a rich essence. I enjoyed the lavender scent, which gave off a healthy vibe. Due to its richness, I didn't experience any dryness. However... I felt like it took a while to absorb. Even after removing the sheet mask, I had to pat my face repeatedly as the product seemed to sit on top of my skin. The Essential Firming Up Mask doesn't seem to suit my skin type. While I liked the lavender scent, I noticed a few blemishes appearing between my cheeks and chin, even though my skin isn't typically sensitive. Those with super sensitive skin should be cautious. Also, I'm not sure if it's because my face is large, but the mask sheet felt smaller compared to other brands. I felt a bit self-conscious trying to fit it over my eyes, nose, and mouth. Since this is a rich mask, those with oily skin might want to think twice before using it. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinNov 7, 2018
I got to try this product as one of The Hwahae Testers. I didn't use all 10, but I've tried about 3 so far. First off, I love lavender scents, so the moment I put the mask on, it felt like a healing experience. The fragrance was lovely. However, the scent is quite strong, so it might be a hit or miss for some people. The essence is quite rich and there's a generous amount. Enough to apply on your neck and even arms and legs! Even after removing the mask, a lot of product remains on your face. You need to pat it in to help it absorb. The strong scent might not be for everyone, as it's a matter of personal preference. The absorption is a bit slow! While there's plenty of essence and it feels hydrating, it takes time to absorb and has a somewhat sticky residue. The overall experience isn't exactly what I'd call clean-feeling, which is disappointing. The price is also a bit of a letdown; I'm not sure if it's worth the cost. It would make a nice gift, but spending my own money on it... not so sure. It feels like you need to put in some effort with this mask. Because of the lavender scent, lying down with the mask on gives a healing sensation (personal opinion). After removing the mask, it's best to pat your skin several times to help absorption. Without patting, it can feel like it's pilling a bit. - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 4, 2018
A product you don't realize you need until it's gone. It's definitely better than other drugstore sheet masks and doesn't feel artificial at all. --------- There's so much essence you could practically use it on your whole body. It's incredibly generous. First off, I absolutely loved the scent. You can really smell the lavender, and it's genuine, not artificial. To be honest, when my skin was in good condition, I didn't notice how great it was... But right before my period, my skin went haywire. So I tried it today, and the soothing effect was remarkable. My complexion seemed to regain its vitality. Usually, this time of the month is when my skin looks the dullest, but today I got my glow back. If you use this when your skin is really acting up, you'll definitely notice the difference. The price... It's not even a gel sheet, so 3000 won seems a bit steep. If you use this when your skin is acting up before your period, you'll definitely see results. It brightens your complexion and revitalizes your skin texture. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinOct 23, 2018
Here are my thoughts after using it for 1-2 weeks as a lucky winner. The hydration is great, and I felt like it really strengthened my skin barrier. I noticed a clear difference in my skin when applying makeup, especially during that time of the month for us ladies. The subtle lavender scent was lovely too. There was so much ampoule that my skin couldn't absorb it all, and I had to throw away the excess, which felt very wasteful. (Even after applying it to my arms, legs, and neck, there was still some left...) It claims to improve elasticity, but hmm... I think it might take about a month to see results. While it was better than before use, I still felt a bit disappointed. Elasticity improvements can vary from person to person, so it's hard to judge based on reviews alone. Still, if you're considering buying it and plan to use it consistently, it might help improve fine lines to some extent.
