- Review from The Hwahae Testers - I had written this before, but somehow it disappeared, so I'm writing it again! When I first received it, I was amazed by the beautiful case and packaging! It's been 7 months since I started using it in October! This mask is best suited for fall and winter seasons! Here's my detailed review: Scent - It says it contains lavender essential oil, and it truly has a rich lavender fragrance! The scent isn't artificial or overpowering, but subtle and luxurious, making me feel like I'm getting a massage at a spa. It made the masking experience very enjoyable! Sheet - The texture is soft, and it's saturated with plenty of essence, making it non-irritating to the skin. There's so much essence that it rarely dries out. The size is standard, so it should fit various face shapes well! Hydration - Thanks to the abundant essence, it's very effective for moisturizing! Even though I have dry skin, I noticed that the hydration lasted until the next day after using the mask! I think the slight oiliness helped lock in the moisture, keeping my skin more hydrated! Time - It recommends 10-20 minutes of use, but I found that even 5-10 minutes was sufficient! I usually mask before bed, and I loved that I could achieve deep hydration in such a short time! Oiliness - I felt the oil content was a bit excessive for me! I don't usually use sticky products, but after masking, my skin feels very sticky and slightly suffocating. So rather than using it daily, I tend to use it when my skin is extremely dry or before special occasions. Also, when masking, the essence inevitably gets on my hair, which bothers me when sleeping. Sometimes I wished the mask was smaller! Seasonality - As expected, due to its richness, it's a bit heavy for use outside of fall and winter. When used in humid and hot weather, it seems to cause a warming sensation on the skin, sometimes leading to blemishes the next day! Better for fall and winter than spring and summer! Recommended for use when intense hydration is needed rather than daily use! I'd recommend this to those with dry skin, as it might be too heavy for oily skin types! If it feels too rich, try reducing the application time to find the right balance for you! - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 4, 2018
A product you don't realize you need until it's gone. It's definitely better than other drugstore sheet masks and doesn't feel artificial at all. --------- There's so much essence you could practically use it on your whole body. It's incredibly generous. First off, I absolutely loved the scent. You can really smell the lavender, and it's genuine, not artificial. To be honest, when my skin was in good condition, I didn't notice how great it was... But right before my period, my skin went haywire. So I tried it today, and the soothing effect was remarkable. My complexion seemed to regain its vitality. Usually, this time of the month is when my skin looks the dullest, but today I got my glow back. If you use this when your skin is really acting up, you'll definitely notice the difference. The price... It's not even a gel sheet, so 3000 won seems a bit steep. If you use this when your skin is acting up before your period, you'll definitely see results. It brightens your complexion and revitalizes your skin texture. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 12, 2018
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous. Unlike other sheet masks that smell like alcohol, this one has a pleasant lavender and mint scent, making it more enjoyable to use. It's packed with white essence, and after removing the mask, you can pat in the remaining product for long-lasting hydration. Even after the recommended time, the mask doesn't dry out, so I kept it on for quite a while, maintaining moisture throughout. It adheres well to the skin, and when used on rough or dry skin, it keeps you feeling soft and hydrated all day - perfect for those days when your skin needs some extra TLC. I have combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes, but this mask didn't cause any breakouts. It's quite rich, so if you have oily skin, it's best to use this only when your skin feels rough, flaky, or dry. The essence from the mask lasts so long that if you try to apply makeup afterwards, it might cause pilling. It's definitely best used before bedtime. If you have dry skin, use it whenever you feel parched! For oily skin types, once a week when your skin feels particularly tired is ideal. Using it before bed allows the moisture and nutrients to work overnight, leaving your skin soft and supple in the morning. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 10, 2018
This is a review after winning The Hwahae Testers selection! My skin type is dry, with oil buildup in the T-zone as time passes. Let me start with the positive points: 1. Adherence: Despite the sheet being slightly thick, which made me think it wouldn't adhere well, the mask actually had great adherence! I kept moving around after applying the mask, and it stayed put on my face. 2. Scent: While it might be divisive, I personally liked it! It had a sort of herbal or toothpaste-like scent, which I found pleasant. 3. The sheet was generously soaked in essence, and when I applied the leftover essence to my neck and arms, it felt incredibly hydrating! I was a bit concerned about the lavender oil ingredient for those with super sensitive skin, but it was fine for me! I'm not usually a fan of sticky mask packs, so I found the slightly sticky feeling of the essence after use to be just okay. Everything else was completely satisfactory! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 9, 2018
I'm writing this review after receiving the product as a winner from The Hwahae Testers. I've been using it every night before bed for the past 10 days, and I'm writing this after using the last mask last night. First off, the subtle lavender scent that wafts out when you open it is lovely~ As someone who personally dislikes strong, intense lavender scents, I really appreciated that this one wasn't overpowering! It's fantastic for a good night's sleep when used before bed! The only issue is that you're supposed to remove it 20 minutes before sleeping, but I often fall asleep before that. The amount of essence is so generous that you can apply it to your neck, arms, and legs too! Unlike most masks with clear essence, this one has a white, opaque essence. It also has a protective film typically found only in high-end masks, and the mask material is wonderfully soft and smooth. While the oil content might be great for dry skin, as someone with oily skin, I found it a bit heavy! Although it didn't cause any blemishes, after using the mask, my skin felt greasy and like it had a film on it, which was uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily, sensitive skin or those who dislike an oily finish. For those with oily skin, I recommend using this mask in the evening after exfoliating. Skip your emulsion or cream, and instead gently press your palms against your face to help the remaining essence absorb. When you wake up in the morning, your skin will feel so firm that your makeup will go on beautifully! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2018
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. First off, since this product contains lavender oil, it really helps eliminate skin dryness after use. I was worried about blemishes appearing since it's an oil-based product, but the mask didn't particularly worsen any skin issues. As someone who dislikes strong scents, I was concerned the lavender might be overpowering. However, it had a pleasant aromatherapy-like fragrance that I enjoyed. After using this mask, I applied a somewhat matte sunscreen. It went on smoothly without feeling tight, and my skin didn't dry out or flake later. This mask would be great for those with dry skin, lavender lovers, or anyone looking to apply matte cosmetics more smoothly. While the oil helps address dry skin, as someone with combination skin, I felt like there was a bit of residual oiliness after use. It didn't cause blemishes, but it felt a bit sticky, leaving my face feeling slightly heavy after application. You might find it a bit weighty post-use. However, if you enjoy the sensation of your skin being protected by a layer after masking, I'd recommend it. Those with oily skin or who dislike feeling any oil residue post-mask might want to wash their face afterward. (Naturally, it wouldn't suit those who dislike lavender or aromatherapy scents, as it does have a noticeable fragrance.) I had some essence left over, so I soaked a cotton pad with it to reapply on dry areas, or used the extra for a mini facial massage.
