■This is an honest review from a Hwahae Tester winner. My skin type is combination with dehydrated oily areas. Except for my U-zone, my skin feels quite tight after cleansing. I usually prefer light, hydrating creams over rich moisturizers, but the JayJun Essential Firming Up Mask felt like a rich essence. I enjoyed the lavender scent, which gave off a healthy vibe. Due to its richness, I didn't experience any dryness. However... I felt like it took a while to absorb. Even after removing the sheet mask, I had to pat my face repeatedly as the product seemed to sit on top of my skin. The Essential Firming Up Mask doesn't seem to suit my skin type. While I liked the lavender scent, I noticed a few blemishes appearing between my cheeks and chin, even though my skin isn't typically sensitive. Those with super sensitive skin should be cautious. Also, I'm not sure if it's because my face is large, but the mask sheet felt smaller compared to other brands. I felt a bit self-conscious trying to fit it over my eyes, nose, and mouth. Since this is a rich mask, those with oily skin might want to think twice before using it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 19, 2018
I'm writing this review because I didn't receive a text message. The fragrance was absolutely delightful. It was so good that I wanted to spray it on my bedding and sleep in it. I'd even consider buying it as a perfume - it really hit the spot for me. The design is also very pretty. That's all I have to say. I absolutely don't want to buy it, don't want to own it, and don't want to use it. I have super sensitive skin and combination dehydrated skin. My face was acting up again this fall, so I've been really focusing on hydration. I won this from Hwahae and used it with trust. Because of my sensitive skin, I usually need an adjustment period for cosmetics. So I kept using it patiently, but then I developed cystic acne, which I've never had in my life! I deliberately applied it without using anything else to see if it was too rich, but I got blemishes and acne... All my skincare efforts went down the drain. In the end, when I stopped using it and applied acne medication instead, it cleared up right away. What tips? There aren't any. For sensitive skin, I think the answer is not to use it at all. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 18, 2018
It was just okay. It only moisturized for a short while. The fragrance is nice though. I'm so disappointed that it didn't help clear up my blemishes... - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 17, 2018
Here's a review from The Hwahae Testers: On the first day of use, I noticed a brightening effect the next morning, and the fragrance was absolutely delightful! Even though I have extremely dry, acne-prone skin, it didn't cause any irritation. The sheet mask's texture was quite nice, which made for a satisfying experience overall. Even for my dry skin, it felt excessively rich. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin. Also, when I apply oils to my face, my skin tends to react badly the next day. So, if you're like me and don't do well with oils, I'd suggest avoiding this. Moreover, I'm not thrilled about the ingredients, so make sure to check them carefully before use. After using this, the redness of my blemishes became more pronounced the following day. For those dealing with blemishes, I think the soothing mask from this product line might be a better choice than this one! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 7, 2018
The milky essence made the mask sheet soft and gentle on my face without any irritation. As someone with ☆extremely dry skin☆, I loved how the mask left my skin feeling hydrated afterwards. The subtle fragrance made the mask experience very relaxing. While there weren't any major drawbacks, I felt that although it's suitable for dry skin, it might feel a bit heavy for those with oily skin. The abundant essence, which kept my face feeling moisturized, unfortunately caused a few blemishes to appear. It was even better when I chilled it in the refrigerator for a bit before using! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 22, 2018
This review is based on my experience as a member of The Hwahae Testers. My skin type is combination dehydrated with sensitivity, hyperpigmentation, oily T-zone in summer, and prone to allergies. The paper packaging made it easy to open. I usually struggle with tearing open plastic packaging for sheet masks, often resulting in a mess with essence spilling everywhere. But this one tears cleanly, allowing me to use every last drop of essence. The sheet adhered well to my face. Its thickness was just right, so it didn't feel suffocating. The mask was nicely saturated with essence, keeping my skin hydrated. Given my allergies, I often react badly to harsh products, but this one seemed gentle as I didn't experience any burning sensation. Perhaps due to my deep dryness, I felt a slight inner dryness after removing the mask, so I followed up with a cream. My usual skincare routine is toner, first essence, serum, eye essence, emulsion, and cream. The mask alone was a bit drying for my skin, but it might be sufficient for those with oily skin. The subtle lavender scent provided a relaxing effect. While it didn't knock me out or guarantee deep sleep, I did find it easier to unwind compared to other masks. I had some minor blemishes recently, possibly due to poor health, and when I applied the mask, those areas became swollen and painful. Worried about exacerbating the issue, I started using acne patches underneath the mask. I initially planned to use one mask daily to finish the pack in two weeks, but my skin seemed to find that too intense. Seeing other reviews mentioning oiliness, I suspect the essence might be a bit rich. I noticed my forehead was slightly shiny in the morning. The next morning, I found that my makeup applied smoothly after cleansing with just water! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 18, 2018
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! I'm sure I wrote it before, but it seems it didn't upload due to an error. So, I'm writing it again! The product itself is quite rich, so I wouldn't really recommend it for those with oily skin, but it's great for dry skin types. Even the morning after using it, my skin still felt remarkably hydrated. I'd say the effects were similar to another product, 0.h.c c-0omplex. I strongly recommend that those with dry skin give it a try. I also felt like it really brought life back to my complexion! As mentioned above, this isn't suitable for people with oily skin. It has excessive oil content, which didn't work well for my oily skin type. While it definitely seemed to revive my complexion, using such an oil-rich mask on my oily skin led to some minor blemishes. I'll say it again: highly recommended for dry skin! But not recommended for oily skin types. However, those with slightly oily skin might still be able to use it without issues. The product comes with quite a bit of serum. If you spread the serum first and then apply the mask, your skin gets a lot of nourishment! I recommend applying your toner, spreading the serum, and then using the mask for best results! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 12, 2018
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I'm sharing my thoughts after using about 3 sheets. While it's not labeled as a functional mask, it seems more suitable for use during dry seasons rather than as a daily mask routine. I applied it to soothe my skin after removing makeup and letting it dry. However, perhaps due to its rich texture, I developed some minor, itchy blemishes along my jawline. I think the remaining masks might be better suited for use during seasonal changes. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 12, 2018
The mask is generously soaked in essence! The scent is pleasant, and the texture is quite rich. The moment you apply it, you can feel your skin becoming hydrated and healthier. It's the kind of mask that makes you believe in its potential benefits. Unfortunately, I experienced blemishes from the very first day. I tried again on the second day, hoping it was a fluke, but my skin broke out even worse. After reading other reviews, it seems this mask doesn't agree with oily skin types... This review is based on my experience as a Hwahae Tester. The mask contains an abundance of rich essence, which doesn't absorb easily. I spent a long time gently patting and massaging it into my skin! - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 12, 2018
Here's my review as a Hwahae Tester: I have combination dehydrated skin with some oiliness around the nose area and tend to experience deep dryness (leaning towards dry skin). First off, when I opened the pack to use it in the evening, I was amazed by the generous amount of essence. After using the mask for about 15 minutes, there was so much essence left that I could pat it into my skin again. There was even enough remaining to apply to my neck, arms, and legs! As someone who usually has to layer products due to deep dryness, I found that using this mask for 15 minutes after cleansing, then patting in the remaining essence, completely eliminated any feeling of tightness until the next morning. I was really pleased that it seemed to address my deep dryness issues. Because it's so hydrating with a lot of essence, it did feel a bit sticky. My hair kept getting stuck to my face! Also, even though I have very dehydrated skin, I can't use many oil-based products as they tend to cause blemishes for me. Since this mask contains essential oils, I unfortunately experienced quite a few breakouts after using it. I had to stop using it after just two applications. For those with very dry skin, I'd recommend squeezing out the remaining essence after removing the mask and patting it into your skin for an extra boost of hydration that lasts until the next day.
