- Review from The Hwahae Testers - I had written this before, but somehow it disappeared, so I'm writing it again! When I first received it, I was amazed by the beautiful case and packaging! It's been 7 months since I started using it in October! This mask is best suited for fall and winter seasons! Here's my detailed review: Scent - It says it contains lavender essential oil, and it truly has a rich lavender fragrance! The scent isn't artificial or overpowering, but subtle and luxurious, making me feel like I'm getting a massage at a spa. It made the masking experience very enjoyable! Sheet - The texture is soft, and it's saturated with plenty of essence, making it non-irritating to the skin. There's so much essence that it rarely dries out. The size is standard, so it should fit various face shapes well! Hydration - Thanks to the abundant essence, it's very effective for moisturizing! Even though I have dry skin, I noticed that the hydration lasted until the next day after using the mask! I think the slight oiliness helped lock in the moisture, keeping my skin more hydrated! Time - It recommends 10-20 minutes of use, but I found that even 5-10 minutes was sufficient! I usually mask before bed, and I loved that I could achieve deep hydration in such a short time! Oiliness - I felt the oil content was a bit excessive for me! I don't usually use sticky products, but after masking, my skin feels very sticky and slightly suffocating. So rather than using it daily, I tend to use it when my skin is extremely dry or before special occasions. Also, when masking, the essence inevitably gets on my hair, which bothers me when sleeping. Sometimes I wished the mask was smaller! Seasonality - As expected, due to its richness, it's a bit heavy for use outside of fall and winter. When used in humid and hot weather, it seems to cause a warming sensation on the skin, sometimes leading to blemishes the next day! Better for fall and winter than spring and summer! Recommended for use when intense hydration is needed rather than daily use! I'd recommend this to those with dry skin, as it might be too heavy for oily skin types! If it feels too rich, try reducing the application time to find the right balance for you! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 26, 2018
First off, it adheres to the skin really well, feeling nice and firm. There's plenty of product inside, so you can even use it on your neck or legs. It's rich in both oil and moisture, but I personally felt it was more on the oily side. As I have combination skin, the only downside for me was that it felt a bit oily. Other than that, I was satisfied. Everyone knows to keep it in the fridge, right? Since there's a lot of product inside, it's great to use the leftovers on your arms, legs, neck, and back. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 10, 2018
This mask has a viscous essence-type texture with an abundance of serum. Unlike typical sheet masks that you'd wear for 15 minutes, you could probably leave this one on a bit longer. After removing the mask, your face is left with a radiant glow. I noticed improvements in my skin texture, though I didn't see significant effects on deep hydration. Trying not to waste the excess serum, I applied it over the sheet mask, but this made it feel excessively rich. It became sticky as I moved around. Also, be aware that it contains some potentially irritating ingredients. Let's not waste the leftover serum. Apply it to your neck using a thin cotton pad! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 20, 2018
Although this is a review for a product I won in an event, I'll be honest. First off, the scent is really lovely, making it perfect for use before bed. It's packed with essence and doesn't fall off easily, so if you put it on while drying your hair, you'll notice your face's dryness disappearing. The downside is that it might be a bit too greasy for those with oily skin. Also, since it doesn't absorb immediately, you might find your hair sticking to your face quite a bit. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 17, 2018
Here's a review from The Hwahae Testers: On the first day of use, I noticed a brightening effect the next morning, and the fragrance was absolutely delightful! Even though I have extremely dry, acne-prone skin, it didn't cause any irritation. The sheet mask's texture was quite nice, which made for a satisfying experience overall. Even for my dry skin, it felt excessively rich. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin. Also, when I apply oils to my face, my skin tends to react badly the next day. So, if you're like me and don't do well with oils, I'd suggest avoiding this. Moreover, I'm not thrilled about the ingredients, so make sure to check them carefully before use. After using this, the redness of my blemishes became more pronounced the following day. For those dealing with blemishes, I think the soothing mask from this product line might be a better choice than this one! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 15, 2018
I'm writing this review as one of The Hwahae Testers who won the chance to try this product. When I opened the box, there were 10 sheets inside. The lavender scent is truly delightful! I lay down to use the mask, and it made me feel so relaxed that I started to doze off. After using the mask, there was still quite a bit of serum left, so I applied it generously to my neck, hands, and even the soles of my feet. The rich, nourishing feeling when using the mask was fantastic. As someone with dry skin, I was pleased to find that my skin wasn't dry even after sleeping through the night! It's quite rich, so even a while after removing the mask, my skin was still quite dewy. I'd recommend using this only at night. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 23, 2018
First off, the essence is super generous and the mask adheres really well. The fragrance is absolutely divine. Though it's not visible in the photo, my face was red and had many blemishes, but this mask really helped calm everything down. I'm incredibly satisfied with this product. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin as it feels a bit rich. Also, while it's supposed to help with sleep, I didn't really notice that effect. It seems better suited for nighttime use rather than in the morning. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 18, 2018
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! I'm sure I wrote it before, but it seems it didn't upload due to an error. So, I'm writing it again! The product itself is quite rich, so I wouldn't really recommend it for those with oily skin, but it's great for dry skin types. Even the morning after using it, my skin still felt remarkably hydrated. I'd say the effects were similar to another product, 0.h.c c-0omplex. I strongly recommend that those with dry skin give it a try. I also felt like it really brought life back to my complexion! As mentioned above, this isn't suitable for people with oily skin. It has excessive oil content, which didn't work well for my oily skin type. While it definitely seemed to revive my complexion, using such an oil-rich mask on my oily skin led to some minor blemishes. I'll say it again: highly recommended for dry skin! But not recommended for oily skin types. However, those with slightly oily skin might still be able to use it without issues. The product comes with quite a bit of serum. If you spread the serum first and then apply the mask, your skin gets a lot of nourishment! I recommend applying your toner, spreading the serum, and then using the mask for best results! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinJun 12, 2018
As one of The Hwahae Testers, I'm sharing my review! I have extremely dry, atopic skin. This mask really fills your skin with both moisture and richness. Not sure how it would work for oily skin types, but for my dry skin, it was amazing. Usually, even after applying cream before bed, my skin feels parched by morning. But with this mask, I woke up to skin that wasn't dry and had a nice glow. The product description mentions it's good for sleep, and I found that to be true. The pleasant scent and comfortable feeling definitely helped improve my sleep quality. My mother, who's also into skincare, tried it too and said her skin felt firmer. She was really impressed! However, the reason I can't keep using this mask is... I have severe atopic dermatitis around my eyes and mouth, and occasionally get blemishes on my cheeks and chin. While the mask's richness didn't cause any breakouts, I think the aromatic oils in it might have been the issue. After using the mask overnight, the areas around my eyes and mouth became itchy, triggering my atopic dermatitis. Since atopic conditions vary from person to person, I can't definitively say this mask is bad for atopic skin. But I think it might be more effective for those with less sensitive, dry skin rather than those with super sensitive skin like mine. Since I didn't see significant results from this mask, instead of product tips, I'd like to offer some advice for those with atopic dermatitis! My brother and I have had severe atopic dermatitis since childhood. My brother's condition affects his whole body, making daily life challenging, while mine is less extensive but still present in many areas. I've managed to maintain relatively normal skin through careful management. While diet control would be ideal, I personally can't give up the joy of eating! So, I take probiotics daily instead. Nutrients are crucial for managing atopic dermatitis, with probiotics being particularly important. For skincare, products that provide richness are essential, even if it means dealing with some shine. After trying countless methods, I found that applying an emollient cream or lotion over a hydrating product post-cleansing works best to lock in moisture. The most effective product for my atopic dermatitis has been 'Oxygene Baby Cream'. It creates a protective barrier without feeling heavy or too greasy, and I found it more effective than Physiogel or Atopalm. Using facial oils can also be beneficial, but be cautious around the eyes. While dryness around the eyes can exacerbate atopic dermatitis, applying heavy, oily products there can lead to eye irritation and trigger flare-ups. It's best to keep the eye area moisturized without using overly heavy products. I've been dealing with atopic dermatitis for 23 years and still struggle with it. I hope these tips can be of some help to others facing similar challenges! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 12, 2018
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! My skin is combination but leans towards the dry side. Firstly, the things I liked: 1. After use, there's a rich feeling left on the skin. It even lasted until the next morning after sleeping, which I loved. It's more of a sticky feeling than a 'moisturized!' sensation, but since I have dry skin, I appreciated how long it lasted. 2. The sheet seems a bit thicker compared to other sheet masks. While other sheets tend to look transparent, this mask's sheet is slightly thicker and doesn't show through as much. 3. Unlike other sheet masks that sometimes cause a slight tingling or burning sensation, this one didn't at all. So I could use it comfortably, and it seems to suit my skin well. The aspects I found disappointing: 1. I didn't care for the scent... They say it's lavender, but it smells more like herbal medicine. It's not overpowering, but I personally didn't like it. 2. It felt more rich than hydrating. I was hoping for a more moisturized feeling. 3. I've tried many different types of sheet masks, but I didn't find this one particularly better than others. It just feels like one of many average sheet masks out there.
