Pros
It's a repurchase item for me. There is definitely a noticeable difference in how it applies and wears. I always use it when I apply matte lipstick. It gives a silky smooth finish. When I apply it on my lips, it has a velvety feel to it. It definitely minimizes the appearance of flaky skin. And with matte lipsticks, flaky skin is an issue, but I also dislike how they can emphasize fine lines. I really don't like it when lipstick settles into the creases, it just looks so messy and unappealing. But this product definitely helps minimize the emphasis on fine lines as well.
Cons
I actually preferred it being thin, as it was convenient to carry and I had no regrets about it.
Tip
Make sure to properly moisturize your lips and gently exfoliate the dead skin the day before. That way, when you apply the MAC Prep + Prime Lip, your matte lip color will last all day without emphasizing wrinkles or flaky skin, and your lips won't feel dry.

Pros
I received this as a gift when I purchased over 50,000 won worth of products from Mac. The chocolate scent is subtle, and it is definitely more creamy than regular lip balms. It pairs well with matte lips rather than hydrating ones. I'm using it with the Retro Matte Liquid, and it seems to minimize the appearance of wrinkles and lines on the inner lips.
Cons
I'm not sure if I would buy this with my own money since the functionality isn't incredibly outstanding. It's easier to apply and adheres better than the Rom&nd Lip Primer, but it's also more expensive, so I might just go back to using regular lip balms once I finish this.

Don't apply it as generously as a regular lip balm. Just lightly dab it on to help it adhere.

Pros
I used to be reluctant to apply matte lipsticks due to my dry skin, but this product has been amazing. It fills in the lines around my lips, so the lipstick doesn't accentuate the flakiness. And it doesn't transfer or smear, which I love. It's truly wonderful.
Cons
The only downside is the slightly higher price point, but considering how well it works to minimize the appearance of lip flakiness, it's definitely worth trying out.

I didn't think the pre-step before applying lipstick was so necessary, but applying the prep primer and then lipstick definitely reduces creasing and makes the color more vibrant and pigmented, so I understand why people use it now.
Cons
The thin stick form and small amount feels like I have to use it sparingly...

I received this as a gift and have been using it. I used to have a lot of wrinkles and peeling on my lips, but after using this, the wrinkles and peeling have definitely improved a lot. I highly recommend it.

Pros
I fell in love with it as soon as I started using it. First, I apply this, and then I use a tinted lip product or a matte lipstick.. When I apply it! There is no lip creasing, and my lips look smooth and pretty.
Cons

Pros
This is definitely great for applying on the lips. I'm not sure about the fixing power, but it seems to fill in fine lines and make matte colors even more matte in application! Unless you eat or drink something, the lipstick also stays on for a long time.
Cons
After applying it once and then trying to touch up outside, you have to completely remove the lipstick and reapply your makeup to avoid clumping.
Tip
My lips are always chapped 365 days a year, so this is not a lip balm function. Be sure to thoroughly exfoliate and moisturize your lips before using it. Also, if you finish with powder or the like after applying the lip color, it will last even longer.

This is absolutely amazing! My lips are in terrible shape with peeling and dryness, and I even have the bad habit of biting my lips. But this retro matte lipstick acts as a primer, smoothing out my lip lines and allowing me to apply it smoothly without any lip flakiness. It's such a kind product. I want to use this like a lip balm every day, it's just so good.

The price is too expensive. The amount is too small for the price. It's so good, but I get scared every time I have to repurchase it. :(
