There are no particularly disappointing aspects. The product quantity is a bit small.

This product has a mysterious texture that is not quite a lip balm but not quite something else. When I apply this and then put on a matte lipstick, it goes on smoothly without any clumping or emphasizing of flaky skin. I have a lot of wrinkles and dry skin on my lips, so I usually have trouble applying matte lipstick formulas (often called crayon-like textures). But when the store employee tested this product with the lipstick, it went on so well that I was captivated and had to buy it. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Make sure to properly moisturize your lips and gently exfoliate the dead skin the day before.
That way, when you apply the MAC Prep + Prime Lip, your matte lip color will last all day without emphasizing wrinkles or flaky skin, and your lips won't feel dry.

I actually preferred it being thin, as it was convenient to carry and I had no regrets about it.

It's a repurchase item for me.
There is definitely a noticeable difference in how it applies and wears.
I always use it when I apply matte lipstick.
It gives a silky smooth finish.
When I apply it on my lips, it has a velvety feel to it.

And with matte lipsticks, flaky skin is an issue, but I also dislike how they can emphasize fine lines.

In the evenings before bed, I apply Atopicarm cream and then wear it overnight. Before applying my lip products, I always make sure to use the MAC Prep + Prime Lip first.
This keeps my lips moisturized and in good condition.

It's been a nightmare since the beginning of this year with my chapped lips - swelling, oozing, and peeling.
 
I've lost count of how many lip balms I've gone through because of my chapped lips. I can't not wear anything on my lips, but when I do, it just makes things worse - it's a vicious cycle.
 
I've taken the medication prescribed by the doctor and applied Vaseline as directed, but the condition didn't improve easily. The Vaseline worked well at first, but over time, it became ineffective.
 
Anyway, I ended up buying a MAC product, and when I use this along with my regular lip products, it's much better. 
 
Applying this product regularly and then putting on my lip products really helps reduce the irritation on my lips and keeps the moisture locked in for longer.

These days, those glossy 'jelly' lip products seem to be the worst for my chapped lips. They look nice only when first applied, but then my lips just get worse.

When you apply this product, especially matte lipsticks, the adherence and color payoff are great, and there is less transfer to cups compared to when you don't wear it.

Although I wanted to do my own makeup without envying the salon, I was hesitant to purchase MAC's lip products because their application wasn't that great.
Lipsticks should be easy to apply every day and glide on smoothly, but they were like crayons... Then I decided I had to try the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, so I also bought the Prep Prime, and I think I made a good choice and have been using them well...
I'm not sure if there's a dramatic change, but it seems to be doing a good job of filling in lip lines, enhancing the color payoff of MAC lipsticks, and improving their longevity. And if I continue using MAC lipsticks, I think I'll keep repurchasing this product as well.

The price-to-volume ratio is a bit steep. If you keep reaching for it every day, you might part with it quickly.

1. Assuming there is no excessive peeling, when applied after using a lip balm that fits well the night before and thoroughly removing all peeling the next day, it can create the optimal condition for applying lip color.

2. As a lip primer, it naturally makes the lips supple, but it doesn't go beyond that. It doesn't end up removing the remaining peeling, making the lips overly soft.

3. It has a Nivea lip balm-like texture, but it doesn't feel like something has been applied. It has a thin, matte-like finish.
This product, along with a base lip color or a lip gloss, doesn't budge.

4. It's a well-known fact that it makes even the brand's Retro Matte line lipsticks glide on smoothly. And I personally really like the Retro Matte lipstick formula.

5. It's a velvet tint that provides an even, vibrant color payoff with just one touch, without any patchiness or unevenness when rubbed.

6. It's the kind of product you didn't know you needed, but once you've tried it, you'll miss it when it's gone.

I like moisturized lips, but it's not very moisturizing.
It's a great product to use before applying a really matte lipstick.

The price is a bit steep, and I don't think it fully functions as a primer. I think it's better to just use a regular lip balm product ㅎㅎ And I remember that it melted away, so I couldn't use it many times and had to throw it out. Be careful not to let it melt, as the entire formula can just crumble and fall apart ㅠㅠ

I initially thought that since it's a primer, there would be no moisture, but it's actually much better than I expected. The shape is thin and long, so it's very easy to apply!! It's also great that there's no scent. I'm not sure how it would work for those with extremely dry lips or prominent peeling, but since my lips aren't that dry or peely, I didn't find it to be that great. However, I have to give it credit for its longevity! When I wear this, it lasts much longer than other lip balms!!!
