The scent is reminiscent of a medicinal patch. The texture is thick and creamy, making it easy to control the amount used. I also appreciated that it's a vegan foam cleanser. - Hydration and cleansing effectiveness After rinsing, there was no slippery feeling at all. It cleanses thoroughly, leaving pores looking matte rather than damp (?) - I think this is due to clogged pores. In terms of cleansing power, it removes sunscreen effectively. - Soothing effect As it's a cica foam cleanser, I was curious about its soothing properties. While using it, my skin didn't become flushed or irritated, and it cleansed cleanly without much stimulation.
Cons- Ingredients Perhaps because it contains three pore-clogging ingredients, I keep getting blemishes... :( After discontinuing use, my acne improved. While it's a good product, as someone with acne-prone oily skin, ingredients that clog pores don't suit me, so I probably won't use it again...
TipFor low pH foam cleansers that don't lather well, how about mixing in a bit of this to help create foam?

I have combination dehydrated skin that's super sensitive with severe deep dryness. I've only used cica in creams before, so this was my first time trying it in a foam cleanser! Lately, I've been struggling with increased redness and frequent blemishes. First off, the foam is incredibly soft and rich, which was a pleasure to use. The cleansing effectiveness is also above average! Being a vegan product made it even more trustworthy, and most importantly, there was minimal deep dryness after use, which I absolutely loved. It doesn't leave my skin feeling tight and cracked, but rather finishes with a fresh feel. Because it's not drying yet still refreshing, I think it would work well for combination dehydrated, dry, and oily skin types alike. It's gentle and mild, making it suitable for morning cleansing, and I also recommend it for evening double cleansing.
ConsHowever, I noticed I was consistently getting small bumps, and upon checking, I found it contains pore-clogging ingredients. That's a bit disappointing.

By firm, I mean it holds its shape when dispensed. When mixed with a bit of water, it creates a soft, gentle lather rather than a rich foam. The foam feels smooth and applies easily to the face. Cleansing Effectiveness: I tested it on my hand with lip color, eyeliner, and eyebrow product. While it didn't completely remove my waterproof makeup with just the foam alone, it did a decent job overall. Personally, I enjoy that squeaky-clean feeling, and this cleanser delivers that while still being gentle on the skin. Other Notes: The scent is distinctly pine. It has a cool, natural pine fragrance that I found pleasant enough to use, though it wasn't particularly remarkable. As many have mentioned, it's a vegan product, which gives it a nice edge.
ConsThe main drawback for me was the ingredients list. Other than that, I don't have many complaints. Ingredients: As someone with oily skin and large pores, I was a bit concerned about potential pore-clogging ingredients. Blemish Improvement: While it claims to help with blemishes, I'm not sure I noticed much difference. However, I was using this during a hormonal period, so I didn't see any reduction in existing blemishes or prevention of new ones.
TipI found it works best when used in the evening, followed by a moisturizing cream to balance out the squeaky-clean feeling it leaves behind.

I'm sharing my experience after using the product from May 12 to May 22, 2021. Please note that this is a highly subjective review. 1. Scent: As other reviewers have mentioned, there's a subtle pine needle scent. It's not overpowering at all. It gives a refreshing feeling when cleansing. 2. Lather: It foams up nicely. Even with a small amount and a bit of water, you can create a rich lather by rolling it between your hands. Good stuff. 3. Cleansing effectiveness: It cleanses thoroughly, leaving your skin squeaky clean. My face felt a bit tight after washing. Overall, it's decent - cleans well without leaving any residue. 4. Design: Personally, I like it. Clean and matte. 5. Overall impression: I think its strength lies in being a solid, reliable product. I didn't experience any blemishes while using it, and it's great for both morning and evening use without being harsh. As a Centella enthusiast, I've tried various Centella products, and this one is pretty good too. Its soothing effect was excellent. When my face was feeling hot and tingly from using something that didn't agree with me, washing with this and following up with skincare helped calm it down without further irritation or skin flare-ups. Honestly, it's unrealistic to expect miracles after just ten days, so I haven't mentioned any skin improvements. If I find it truly exceptional after finishing the product, I'll update my review.
Cons1. The price point is a bit ambiguous. It's also on sale at Viv's Naver store. While it seems possible to purchase for just under 10,000 won, I'm not sure about its value for money considering the quantity. It's not an extremely competitive price, but it's not unreasonably expensive either. 2. The ingredients, according to Hwahae's standards, are somewhat disappointing. For oily skin types, it apparently contains ingredients that may clog pores. Please keep this in mind.
TipAfter cleansing, make sure to follow up with a skincare routine that provides ample hydration.

Cons- As someone with combination dehydrated and super sensitive skin leaning towards oily, some ingredients don't seem ideal for my skin type (potentially clogging pores). - While it's marketed for blemish reduction, I can't tell after just a few days of use. It'll require consistent application to see results. - Some say it leaves the skin feeling squeaky clean after washing, which might indicate good cleansing effectiveness, but could be irritating for sensitive skin.

Overall, I found it to be a decent product. It has just the right cleansing effectiveness, nothing extraordinary but perfectly adequate. Interestingly, after using it, I felt like my skin was slightly soothed.
ConsI've heard that one of the ingredients can clog pores, which is a bit disappointing.
TipWhile it's generally satisfactory, what impressed me was how it cleanses without causing dryness even with just a small amount of water. I think it would work well as long as you don't actively resist using water.

First off, I loved that it's a vegan product. It has a rich texture that lathers well and feels soft on the skin. After cleansing, my skin doesn't feel tight at all. The packaging is sleek, and the amount is just right, so it should last a while.
ConsI was a bit concerned about some ingredients that might clog pores for oily, sensitive skin, but it turned out better than expected. I'm not sure if it helps with blemishes, but it does seem to provide some hydration.
TipI found that using an acne toner after cleansing can help reduce any residue left by the foam cleanser.
