The scent is reminiscent of a medicinal patch. The texture is thick and creamy, making it easy to control the amount used. I also appreciated that it's a vegan foam cleanser. - Hydration and cleansing effectiveness After rinsing, there was no slippery feeling at all. It cleanses thoroughly, leaving pores looking matte rather than damp (?) - I think this is due to clogged pores. In terms of cleansing power, it removes sunscreen effectively. - Soothing effect As it's a cica foam cleanser, I was curious about its soothing properties. While using it, my skin didn't become flushed or irritated, and it cleansed cleanly without much stimulation.
Cons- Ingredients Perhaps because it contains three pore-clogging ingredients, I keep getting blemishes... :( After discontinuing use, my acne improved. While it's a good product, as someone with acne-prone oily skin, ingredients that clog pores don't suit me, so I probably won't use it again...
TipFor low pH foam cleansers that don't lather well, how about mixing in a bit of this to help create foam?

I have combination dehydrated skin that's super sensitive with severe deep dryness. I've only used cica in creams before, so this was my first time trying it in a foam cleanser! Lately, I've been struggling with increased redness and frequent blemishes. First off, the foam is incredibly soft and rich, which was a pleasure to use. The cleansing effectiveness is also above average! Being a vegan product made it even more trustworthy, and most importantly, there was minimal deep dryness after use, which I absolutely loved. It doesn't leave my skin feeling tight and cracked, but rather finishes with a fresh feel. Because it's not drying yet still refreshing, I think it would work well for combination dehydrated, dry, and oily skin types alike. It's gentle and mild, making it suitable for morning cleansing, and I also recommend it for evening double cleansing.
ConsHowever, I noticed I was consistently getting small bumps, and upon checking, I found it contains pore-clogging ingredients. That's a bit disappointing.

Advantages of this foam cleanser as mentioned in the product details: : Soothing hydration care, refreshing deep cleansing, soft cream texture, fine dust cleansing -Pros 1. Soft cream texture This was probably the best aspect of using this foam cleanser. The texture itself is gentle, and when lathered, it forms a dense foam that doesn't drip, which I really liked. 2. Refreshing deep cleansing and hydration care Honestly, my first thought after using this product was, 'Why doesn't my skin feel dry even though it feels so clean?' It's like all the excess oil is gone, but there's still a protective layer... I always had this feeling, which is why I was very satisfied and continued using it. Because it didn't feel tight, I sometimes even forgot to do my skincare routine... 3. The scent, if I remember correctly, is similar to Innisfree's Bija Trouble Facial Foam, which I liked! This is just a personal preference I consider a plus.
Cons1. Not suitable for my skin type. Despite the advantages mentioned above, this foam cleanser didn't work for me. I'm not sure which ingredient caused it, but even though it's labeled as a functional cosmetic for acne-prone skin, I noticed blemishes appearing on my forehead... Looking at the good and bad ingredients for different skin types on Hwahae, I think it might be because it contains many ingredients that aren't great for oily and sensitive skin... Other than this, I can't really think of any other downsides!
TipIf the ingredients look okay to you, it's not a bad choice to buy it. However, there are so many great products available these days that I wouldn't strongly recommend this one...

The tube packaging allows for hygienic use. The narrow opening makes it easy to control the amount you dispense. The scent is also inoffensive - it's a universally appealing fragrance that won't put anyone off! 2. It has an incredibly rich texture. The consistency feels like it could really draw out impurities from deep within the skin. It also lathers up beautifully when used with a foam net. I mainly used it with a cleansing brush, and the thick texture worked wonderfully with the brush! 3. The cleansing effectiveness is above average. It removes face makeup well. It's not overly drying, so I didn't experience much deep dryness after use.
ConsDespite being a cica product, I developed blemishes after using this. I had high hopes due to its texture and how it felt after use, but it seems it doesn't agree with my skin... Also, it doesn't remove color makeup like liquid eyeliner very well, which is disappointing.
TipThis might work well as a morning cleanser. I wouldn't recommend using this product alone for your cleansing routine.

With just a bit of water, it lathers up nicely, allowing for effective cleansing even with a small amount. [Scent] It has a medicinal smell. While you might think it's a cica scent, it's not like the usual cica ampoules or creams - it's an exceptionally strong medicinal odor. Even if you're not sensitive to scents, the strong medicinal smell during each wash might be hard to get used to. However, if you enjoy pharmaceutical scents, you might find it addictive...? [After-feel] As with most cleansing foams, expect some skin tightness after washing. For a foam that lathers so well, it doesn't cause immediate skin tightness after cleansing. (Previously used cleansing foams: Etude Soon Jung Cleansing Foam, Real Barrier Cleansing Foam) - Recommended if you want a product that lasts long, as a small amount produces sufficient foam - The rich, creamy lather allows for thorough cleansing of all areas
Cons- Despite being labeled as 'cica', it didn't show much effect in soothing blemishes. I had hoped it would help with the small bumps between my eyebrows, but saw no improvement. It doesn't remove excess sebum, so pimples continued to appear as usual. - The 'scent' is exceptionally strong. Among all the cleansing products I've used, this had the most difficult fragrance to get used to. Unless you enjoy the sharp, bitter smell typical of pharmaceuticals, even someone like me who isn't sensitive to scents found this product challenging.
TipPersonally, I use cleansing oil for removing sebum and blackheads, followed by foam cleansing. This product didn't leave my face feeling dry or tight, so it seems suitable for this routine.

Kind of like a medicinal smell?! I'm not particularly sensitive to fragrances, so it didn't bother me when using it. 🌿Lather/Cleansing effectiveness: When you squeeze it out, a light, fluffy cream comes out that lathers up really well. It gives a squeaky clean feeling. After using it, my face feels refreshed. 🌿Packaging: The container is lightweight and easy to squeeze, making it convenient to use. The package design is also clean and simple.
Cons🌿Blemishes: About a week after I started using it, I got a small pimple on my forehead. I hadn't had any acne on my forehead recently, so I became a bit suspicious when it appeared after using this cleansing foam... That's when I finally checked the ingredients on Hwahae and noticed there were a few components that aren't good for oily and sensitive skin... Ugh. Other than that, no issues.
TipFor those who, like me, experienced skin blemishes and feel hesitant to continue using it regularly, but also don't want to waste the product, I suggest using it 3-4 times a week, applying small amounts to areas that tend to get oily. I think this could be one way to use it up. The cleansing effectiveness is undeniable 👍

After washing, my skin feels squeaky clean. Apart from that, I didn't notice any other particular advantages.
ConsI typically have combination dehydrated skin that's super sensitive, so I'm prone to blemishes. I had high hopes for this product since it's a foam cleanser specifically for blemish-prone skin. I started using it right after my period when my skin was in pretty bad shape, thinking it might help calm things down. But to my dismay, it actually made my skin worse! I had to stop using it after just four days. I considered pushing through until the review deadline, but my skin was so irritated it hurt to touch, so I had no choice but to stop. Interestingly, my boyfriend used it too and had the complete opposite experience - it worked perfectly for him. On the bright side, after I stopped using it, my skin definitely calmed down. Of course, I used my usual soothing products to help, but it was a bit much to use both the foam cleanser and calming products at the same time. From watching my boyfriend's experience, it seems to work well for men's skin, but if you have skin like mine, I'd recommend carefully checking the ingredients and reviews before giving it a try!

After using only low pH products, I was looking to switch to a deep cleanser when I won this product and gave it a try. Here's what I liked: - My face doesn't get red after cleansing. - It's a vegan product. - The ingredients are high-quality. - As someone with oily skin, I love how squeaky clean and refreshed my skin feels after using it! - The scent is like a forest? It has a slight tea tree oil fragrance.
ConsWhile I, as an oily skin type, enjoy the squeaky clean feeling after use, those with dry skin might find it too stripping. The scent isn't subtle, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're sensitive to fragrances or dislike tea tree oil or forest-like scents. As a vegan product, I had high hopes, but after using it, my skin texture became rougher and I experienced some blemishes. This might be because I switched from gentle, low pH cleansers to this deep cleanser.

I used this product for about 10 days without any guidance. My thoughts: 1. It creates a rich, creamy lather even without tools, making it very pleasant to use. 2. Perhaps due to its cica ingredients, it left my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed. I expected my skin to feel dry afterward, but surprisingly, it didn't! 3. Personally, I didn't mind the scent. It has a refreshing aroma that really puts you in the mood for cleansing. 4. I found it effectively removed foundation and sunscreen.
Cons1. I only changed my cleansing foam, keeping all other makeup and skincare products the same. Despite the cica ingredients, I didn't see any improvement in blemishes. In fact, I experienced some breakouts, though this might be due to my overall skin condition. (I'll need to use it longer to be sure about this aspect.) 2. I'm a bit disappointed with the ingredients list. There seem to be many products out there with better formulations. 3. As mentioned in the pros, it left my skin feeling squeaky clean. If you prefer a more gentle, moisturizing cleanse, you might want to think twice about this one.
TipIt goes without saying that this doesn't effectively remove eyeliner or mascara. I recommend using a makeup remover or cleansing oil first, then following up with this as your second cleanse.

Lather and Cleansing Power: Even with a tiny amount, it creates an impressive lather. Thanks to this rich foam, I personally felt it was effective at removing makeup. Texture and Hydration: The texture reminded me of whipped cream - so soft! When I massaged the foam on my face, it felt creamy, hydrating, smooth, and gentle. This sensation made my skin feel moisturized even while rinsing. If you often experience tightness after cleansing, this product might help reduce that feeling. (However, because I became extra thorough with cleansing due to concerns about clogged pores, it became harder to feel that hydration.) Price: I found the price to be just right for me. The large volume means it should last a long time. Vegan Aspect: While I didn't notice any specific effects or uniqueness from it being a vegan product, I think its vegan status is definitely a plus point.
ConsIn a nutshell: - I developed small blemishes - The ingredients aren't ideal for all skin types To elaborate: Despite the product being marketed with keywords like 'vegan' and 'acne-prone skin relief', I didn't experience any of these benefits. In fact, I started questioning its effectiveness for acne-prone skin. I don't usually have acne-prone skin, but this product actually caused blemishes. I've never had issues with cleansing foams before, but this one gave me small, bumpy blemishes. As a Hwahae Tester, when I first tried the product, I checked the ingredients. While there were no harmful components, I noticed some that could potentially clog pores. So, I made sure to cleanse extra thoroughly. Despite this, after just two days of use, I developed small, red, sebum-filled bumps on my nose and T-zone. I immediately stopped using it, waited a couple of days, then tried again. After a few more uses, I got similar blemishes on my T-zone and forehead. To ensure an accurate assessment, I only wore makeup once during this period and didn't change any other products in my routine. The fact that I still developed these blemishes makes me think it's due to this product. Cleansing products can vary in effectiveness from person to person. While it didn't work for me, it might be great for others!
TipIt's not exactly a pro tip, but when using this product, make sure to cleanse very thoroughly!
