The foam is delightfully rich and creamy, and it cleanses really well. However, to be honest, I haven't seen any dramatic acne-fighting results.
ConsAfter washing, I noticed some white powdery residue left in the sink. It would be great if they came out with a bubble cleanser version too.
TipPro tip: Get a foam maker from Daiso to create luxuriously abundant lather when using this.

The scent is absolutely delightful! It reminds me of camphor oil - refreshing and natural, giving off a healthy vibe. The cleansing effectiveness is great, and the foam is rich yet gentle, causing no irritation when washing off.
ConsMy skin is sensitive and leans towards the dry side, so it takes a lot for a product to feel sufficiently hydrating. While this one doesn't cause extreme deep dryness, I do feel a slight tightness after use.

I'll get straight to the point about what I liked while using this product! - The texture is as soft as whipped cream, creating a rich and abundant lather! This makes it gentle and less irritating when massaging, which I really appreciated. - I was also very impressed with its cleansing effectiveness. Compared to my usual cleanser that doesn't lather well and has weak cleansing power, this one left my skin feeling squeaky clean! I always do a two-step cleanse with oil first, then foam, and I loved how this cleanser thoroughly removed any remaining oiliness from the first step. - The scent is lovely! Some products can have strange fragrances, but this one has a fresh and light scent that somehow lifts my mood. - I'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but since I started using this, the blackheads on my nose have noticeably faded. Given how many blackheads I had, I'm honestly thrilled. I can't say for certain if it's solely due to this product, but I plan to keep using it for another month to check on my blackhead situation. If they continue to improve, I'll finally settle on this product after years of being a foam cleanser nomad!
ConsWhen I first received and used this, my skin was very itchy, dry, irritated, and sensitive. Because of that, I initially found it stinging and itchy, and considered stopping use. However, I continued using it to write this review, and after about two or three uses, it became fine. I think this product might not suit those with more sensitive skin than mine. Apart from this point, I found it to be a very decent product, or rather, it was quite good for me!
TipPersonally, I recommend using this with a cleansing oil! Previously, no amount of cleansing oil could get rid of my blackheads, but as I mentioned above, using this product together with cleansing oil has significantly faded them. While this is just my personal experience, if blackheads are a concern for you, it might be worth giving this a try!

Texture & Particles: The foam lathers well even with a small amount and has a rich, creamy texture. The particles in this foam cleanser are very fine, giving an incredibly soft feeling during cleansing. It's like applying whipped cream to your face! Scent: The most distinctive feature of this foam cleanser is its scent! As a first-time user of a cica foam cleanser, I wondered if this was the typical cica scent. It has a slight herbal or forest-like aroma. The scent might be divisive, but I actually loved it because of its natural, earthy notes! Cleansing Effectiveness: While I didn't test it on makeup, it's certainly not weak in cleansing power! After washing, my skin felt clean and fresh, and surprisingly, not tight but moisturized. I usually use cleansing gels due to my sensitive skin, but this foam cleanser didn't cause any redness, so I felt comfortable using it. Blemishes: Having had good experiences with cica creams before, I had high hopes for this cica-infused product. Although I've only used it for about 10 days and haven't seen dramatic changes, my blemishes didn't worsen or increase! Value for Money: At 16,000 won for 150ml, it's priced similarly to other foam cleansers on the market. However, a little goes a long way, so it should last quite a while. If used only for evening cleansing, it's particularly good value. Overall Impression: I'm generally satisfied with this product. I liked the scent, and most importantly, the fine particles were gentle and non-irritating to my skin.
ConsI expected the ingredients to be gentle since it's a vegan product, but I found that it contains many potentially irritating components. Fortunately, my skin didn't react negatively, but this is why I deducted one star from my rating.
TipAs a Hwahae Tester, I used this product both morning and evening for evaluation purposes. However, I find it a bit too rich for morning use. Therefore, I recommend using it primarily as an evening cleanser.

First off, my skin type is sensitive and combination dehydrated, with redness and very dry cheeks. 🌿Texture (Bubble): When first squeezed onto your palm, it's thick, but as you roll it, it turns into a bouncy bubble! A little goes a long way. 🌿Scent: It has a forest-like aroma. I actually found it pleasant while washing my face. Despite usually being sensitive to fragrances and preferring unscented products, I didn't mind this one at all! 🌿Cooling effect: I was worried after seeing reviews mentioning irritation, but the cooling effect wasn't irritating at all. It just gives a slight cool sensation to the skin. 🌿Hydration: The hydration is average! Of course, I do use toner right after cleansing, but it feels similar to other foam cleansers. 🌿Dead skin cells?!: Due to my sensitive skin, I don't often use peeling gels, and sometimes I'm too lazy to even do that. This product came in handy during those times! I used it like a regular foam cleanser for about 4 days, but around day 6, as I was rinsing off the foam, I noticed dead skin cells floating in the water! This was exactly 6 days into using this product and 6 days since my last exfoliation. I was surprised but also felt refreshed!! It was fascinating! I'm not entirely sure, but it seems to soften and remove dead skin cells too.
ConsI'm satisfied with how it feels, so I wish they would release a low pH cleansing foam in this product line!
TipAs mentioned in the positives, it seems to provide gentle exfoliation without irritation! If you spend a little more time than usual carefully massaging the foam, it appears to remove dead skin cells too!

I like to dissolve it in water to create a lather before cleansing. While it takes a bit longer to foam up due to its dense consistency, it feels like whipped cream with a high-quality texture. A small amount goes a long way. As soon as I applied it to my face, I noticed a lovely, subtle cica scent that was very pleasant. It had a gentle, herbal aroma that made me feel it would be mild on the skin. With the warmer weather and occasional fine dust these days, I'm so grateful to have been chosen as a Hwahae Tester for this Vive cleansing foam. Its fine particles seem perfect for removing fine dust, and it's comfortable to use even on hot days. After cleansing, before applying toner, I noticed that while it doesn't leave excessive moisture, my skin felt firm and supple. What I loved most was its gentle feel and the subtle, soothing cica fragrance. I'm looking forward to using it for a month or two to see how it performs long-term!
ConsAlthough it's a deep cleanser, it might be challenging to remove full makeup with just this foam cleanser alone.
TipFor best results, dissolve it in water to create a lather, then gently massage it onto your skin while cleansing!

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsHere's my honest review of the product I received as part of The Hwahae Testers: 1. Skin Type I'm in my mid-20s with combination dehydrated skin prone to closed comedones and red blemishes. Recently, I've become more sensitive due to focusing on skincare and cleansing to address these issues. 2. Texture First off, I loved that it produced much richer and denser foam compared to my previous cleanser. It truly lives up to the advertisement claims! (I previously used Round Lab Dokdo Cleanser) The texture is notably thick, and it definitely contains sebum-controlling ingredients as it left my skin feeling matte, similar to applying Innisfree No Sebum powder. I personally enjoyed how it left my skin feeling clean without any oiliness. This would be great for those oily summer days when your face feels greasy. 3. Scent The scent is fairly neutral. Some people mention a pine scent, but I'm not particularly sensitive to fragrances, so I didn't notice much of a scent. 4. Effectiveness Given my extremely sensitive skin lately, I was just hoping it wouldn't cause more blemishes. After two weeks of use, while there wasn't a significant reduction, no new blemishes appeared! I consider this a win if it doesn't cause any issues. The centella extract and birch sap seemed to provide some soothing effects. However, it's not very moisturizing! 5. Cleansing Power Of course, you know it only removes light makeup like sunscreen and eyebrow pencil, so double cleansing with oil or micellar water is necessary for full makeup removal. No particular blemishes occurred Decent product with generous amount Recommended for oily skin in summer due to its deep cleansing effect Not suitable for dry skin
ConsFirst off, the ingredients aren't great. While I didn't experience any issues, it might not suit everyone. Also, because it leaves the skin feeling so clean, there's some tightness after washing. It's fine if you immediately follow with skincare, but I wouldn't recommend it for those with dry skin as it might feel too drying!

The tube packaging allows for hygienic use. The narrow opening makes it easy to control the amount you dispense. The scent is also inoffensive - it's a universally appealing fragrance that won't put anyone off! 2. It has an incredibly rich texture. The consistency feels like it could really draw out impurities from deep within the skin. It also lathers up beautifully when used with a foam net. I mainly used it with a cleansing brush, and the thick texture worked wonderfully with the brush! 3. The cleansing effectiveness is above average. It removes face makeup well. It's not overly drying, so I didn't experience much deep dryness after use.
ConsDespite being a cica product, I developed blemishes after using this. I had high hopes due to its texture and how it felt after use, but it seems it doesn't agree with my skin... Also, it doesn't remove color makeup like liquid eyeliner very well, which is disappointing.
TipThis might work well as a morning cleanser. I wouldn't recommend using this product alone for your cleansing routine.

With just a bit of water, it lathers up nicely, allowing for effective cleansing even with a small amount. [Scent] It has a medicinal smell. While you might think it's a cica scent, it's not like the usual cica ampoules or creams - it's an exceptionally strong medicinal odor. Even if you're not sensitive to scents, the strong medicinal smell during each wash might be hard to get used to. However, if you enjoy pharmaceutical scents, you might find it addictive...? [After-feel] As with most cleansing foams, expect some skin tightness after washing. For a foam that lathers so well, it doesn't cause immediate skin tightness after cleansing. (Previously used cleansing foams: Etude Soon Jung Cleansing Foam, Real Barrier Cleansing Foam) - Recommended if you want a product that lasts long, as a small amount produces sufficient foam - The rich, creamy lather allows for thorough cleansing of all areas
Cons- Despite being labeled as 'cica', it didn't show much effect in soothing blemishes. I had hoped it would help with the small bumps between my eyebrows, but saw no improvement. It doesn't remove excess sebum, so pimples continued to appear as usual. - The 'scent' is exceptionally strong. Among all the cleansing products I've used, this had the most difficult fragrance to get used to. Unless you enjoy the sharp, bitter smell typical of pharmaceuticals, even someone like me who isn't sensitive to scents found this product challenging.
TipPersonally, I use cleansing oil for removing sebum and blackheads, followed by foam cleansing. This product didn't leave my face feeling dry or tight, so it seems suitable for this routine.

The foam cleanser has a texture that's both rich and gentle. The product description calls it a 'whipped cream bubble', and that's exactly how it feels - not too heavy, but light and creamy! When you lather it with your hands, it produces a decent amount of foam. If you want to reduce irritation and use it more gently, I recommend using a foam net to create an even richer lather! The scent is slightly reminiscent of a pine needle drink, and for someone like me who isn't sensitive to fragrances, it's subtle during cleansing. If you're sensitive to scents, please keep in mind it has a 'pine' or 'pine needle' fragrance! <Deep Cleansing> I used this product as a second cleanser after oil cleansing, and it left my skin feeling squeaky clean. However, being a deep cleanser, it sometimes caused a slight tingling sensation in sensitive or thin-skinned areas like the sides of the nose or above the upper lip. Also, occasionally my forehead would feel squeaky clean while my cheeks felt a bit rough or dry. This is likely because my forehead is oily, while my cheeks are dehydrated-oily. When I used it alone for morning cleansing, it felt less squeaky clean compared to using it as a second cleanser, but it was also less irritating and didn't leave my skin feeling tight or tingly. It doesn't seem to just remove impurities while leaving moisture behind - it feels like it cleanses everything thoroughly! When I used this product alone after wearing sunscreen or heavier makeup and wiped my skin with a cotton pad, nothing came off, but it felt like it only cleansed the surface rather than deep into the pores. So if you wear makeup, please use a product that can cleanse your pores more thoroughly! <Soothing> After using it for about 10 days, it didn't worsen my redness, pimples, or blemishes, but it doesn't seem to have outstanding soothing effects either. It's just... okay? At least my acne didn't get worse... It might be irritating for extremely sensitive skin! (Centella might not suit everyone. Even if it works well for others, it might not work for you, so please be mindful of the ingredients.)
ConsIt can be quite irritating for sensitive skin, and for dry skin types, it might cause severe dryness or a stinging sensation due to over-cleansing. I didn't see significant effects in terms of skin soothing. If you're sensitive to fragrances, consider it carefully!! The scent can be polarizing. While some might find the finish squeaky clean, others might feel it's over-cleansing.
TipIt might be suitable for oily skin types who respond well to Centella!
