It really helped control the dryness for my dehydrated skin.
ConsAs it's an aloe gel, layering it too much can cause pilling, similar to dead skin cells coming off.
TipApplying it thinly two or three times helps combat deep dryness.

The ingredients are trustworthy, and it's truly excellent for soothing the skin. Once, I accidentally used an expired skincare product and my face turned red and inflamed. I quickly washed it off, applied this aloe gel, and went to sleep. By morning, my skin was completely calmed down! The product comes in a generous amount too, which is great.
ConsThere aren't many downsides. If you apply it thickly, it can pill a bit. However, if you use it as an overnight hydrating mask and wash it off in the morning, your skin feels wonderfully moisturized.
TipFor an extra soothing effect, try storing it in the refrigerator and applying it cool.

It has a powerful skin-soothing effect, so when my skin feels hot, applying this makes it feel cool without drying it out. It's great for skin care. When I have acne or blemishes, I apply it before bed and they calm down completely. It's really good!
ConsWhen my skin isn't in good condition, it can pill like dead skin cells when applied. Also, if you apply this gel directly to your face without any other products, it can feel a bit tight and drying. I have severe deep dryness, so I tend to apply an essence or toner before using this.
TipThere's nothing better than this when your skin is extremely sunburned. It's a summer and vacation essential. If you have combination dehydrated skin, make sure to apply it after your essence.

When I didn't pat it in and just left it, I didn't notice much effect. But when I patted it in thoroughly to help it absorb, my skin felt moisturized and lovely!
ConsIt feels fine at first, but as the product settles, it becomes increasingly sticky, which is uncomfortable. If you apply it incorrectly, it pills like dead skin cells, which is frustrating.
TipFinishing with just this product feels ambiguous as it's both drying and sticky. It works better when you follow up with a softer cream to seal it in. To prevent pilling, you need to pat it in with your fingertips for a long time until it's fully absorbed!

The ingredients are great, as expected from an aloe product. While it's not a miracle worker for soothing, I've noticed some calming effects when I consistently apply small amounts to reddened skin or areas with minor blemishes. The emulsion-like squeeze tube makes it hygienic and convenient to carry around. And I just have to mention - the aloe-shaped design is so cute, I can't stop reaching for it!
ConsI received this as a Hwahae Tester product, so I didn't know the actual price at first. When I checked later, I realized it's quite expensive! Given the high price tag, I expected it to have amazing soothing properties, but that wasn't really the case. It seems to provide a gradual, subtle calming effect over time. Also, I noticed that even when I didn't apply too much, it had a tendency to pill slightly on the skin.
TipThere's no special trick to using this product. Just apply it to the areas you want to treat, but be careful not to use too much!

Compared to other aloe gels I've used before, this one has better hydration and soothes my skin faster. I'm definitely considering repurchasing!
ConsIf you don't get the amount right, the sunscreen can sometimes pill like dead skin cells.
TipTo avoid pilling, try applying it in two thin layers.

ConsOccasionally, it can pill like a layer of dead skin. You need to be careful with the amount you apply.
TipI keep it in the refrigerator and use it when it's nice and cool!

ConsLike other aloe gels, if applied too thickly, it can pill and roll off like dead skin cells.
TipApplying a generous layer of this aloe gel over a sheet mask amplifies both the hydration and skin-calming effects compared to using a mask alone.

I've been alternating between Innisfree and A24, but this one seems to absorb better. Unlike other aloe gels that dry to a powdery finish, this one leaves my skin feeling more hydrated.
ConsThe price is a bit of a downside, but it's okay since there are frequent discounts. I apply it multiple times, and if I layer it on too thick, it can pill a bit. However, applying a generous amount once is fine.
TipHighly recommended for replenishing moisture after waxing and preventing ingrown hairs!

It also absorbs well into the skin. I once had cheeks covered in yellow scabs. Though I've recovered now, it means I have super sensitive atopic skin. The gentle and beneficial ingredients that can soothe my skin are this product's biggest advantage. While it's not perfect for my extremely sensitive skin, it's been the best I've tried so far. (Still, some atopic skin types might not tolerate aloe well! If you have atopic skin, always do a patch test first.) The alcohol content seems low. There's no alcohol scent, and while truly sensitive skin can experience burning, itching, and blemishes from alcohol, the a24 aloe gel was fine for me. I recommend it for those who dislike artificial fragrances as it's unscented. My fingers still occasionally weep, but applying this helps soothe them. In short, it's a truly gentle and kind product.
ConsIt doesn't fully absorb and remains coating the skin. This makes it attract dust easily and pill if you rub it slightly. Usually, you'd apply it like a mask before bed, so pilling wouldn't matter as you'd wash your face in the morning anyway. But for those with super sensitive atopic skin who can't even use toner or emulsion, you might need to use this during the day too, so I'm mentioning it. The high-quality ingredients make it expensive, which could be seen as a drawback. Also, be careful as the contents can spill out easily when the bottle is more than half full. Being aloe-based, you know it's not oily, right? Unless you absolutely need to use only gentle aloe on extremely sensitive skin, you should use this with products that provide more moisture. I'm not sure about its effectiveness on acne. My acne is mainly caused by stress and menstruation, so regardless of what I use or don't use, it's controlled by stress, sleep, and my cycle. So I can't comment on its acne-fighting abilities. I've used this almost exclusively for 3 years, and besides what I've mentioned, I don't think it has any other significant drawbacks. If I had to find one more, it might be that the container is transparent, so it's hard to tell exactly how much you've used or how much is left.
