I prefer skincare products that address deep dryness rather than adding more oil to my face. ✔️Texture: It truly lives up to its 'runny nose' texture. However, as you spread it, it quickly becomes water-like and absorbs well. This makes it perfect for mornings - it's not heavy at all, and you can hydrate your skin quickly with just this toner. ✔️Hydration: It's definitely more hydrating than water-based toners. It's especially effective at combating deep dryness on dry days. As mentioned earlier, it absorbs quickly, making it great for busy mornings when you need to tackle dryness fast. ✔️Scent: It's fragrance-free! As someone who doesn't like scented products, especially in toners, this is a huge plus for me.
Cons✔️Texture: As mentioned, the 'runny nose' texture can be great for providing hydration to combination dehydrated or dry skin types in winter. However, it might feel too heavy and uncomfortable for those with oily skin or combination dehydrated skin in hot, humid weather. ✔️Price: The regular price is 27,000 won for 300ml. Given its runny texture, the product seems to run out a bit quickly. As a student, I find the price a bit steep. ✔️Packaging: The back of the bottle states that it's difficult to recycle. While the product does come in a box, showing some environmental consideration, I think there's room for improvement in making the actual container more eco-friendly. This is why I've listed it as a drawback.
TipI initially tried using this product with cotton pads, but even with thin cotton, it didn't showcase its key feature of having a 'runny nose' texture. It applied more like a water-based toner, so I don't recommend using this product with cotton pads!

After using regular water-based toners, this was my first time trying a toner with this texture. It felt more like a light serum than a typical toner. Despite having sensitive skin, I didn't experience any breakouts or issues - it was quite gentle and suitable.
ConsFirst off, the cap was a bit inconvenient. I'm used to products with simple snap-on lids, so having to twist this one open felt a bit cumbersome. The absorption is extremely slow. Regardless of how much or little I use, it takes a long time of patting it in before it finally absorbs. If you're an impatient person, this might be frustrating...

Rich essence-type? Yes, please! Its plumping effect makes it perfect for dry skin, leaving it hydrated and supple.
ConsIt's not exactly lightweight, so some might find it a bit sticky. Not recommended if you dislike heavy textures on your skin.
TipFor an extra boost, try soaking cotton pads with this toner and use them as a mask. Your skin will feel incredibly firm and bouncy!

Wake up with an oil slick. * Skin Texture Dramatically improved! Usually, I rarely exfoliate, so when applying sunscreen, I'd get white residue or clumping on dry cheek areas. But while using this product, that never happened. After a few days, my skin became incredibly smooth - I'm very satisfied (and I didn't even use an exfoliator). * Hydration Those with dry skin might find it lacking in winter, but for oily skin like mine, it's perfect for winter. It's moisturizing, absorbs quickly after patting a few times, and when I'm too lazy to apply multiple products, I can layer this twice, finish with a serum, emulsion, or cream, and not feel dry at all. * Stickiness Most oily skin types will relate - I absolutely hate sticky finishes. But this product, as mentioned, absorbs quickly after a few pats, leaving only a pleasant moisturized feeling. I love it. * Texture True to its main ingredient, yam, it initially has some viscosity. As someone who prefers watery textures, my first impression wasn't great. However, it only feels thick at first - once applied, it absorbs well like a watery toner (somewhere between an emulsion and toner?). * Scent Absolutely none. I was curious and sniffed it for a while, but couldn't detect anything. * Blemishes I did get some blemishes due to my period, but switching just the toner in my routine didn't cause any additional breakouts or irritation (this may vary person to person). * Skincare Diet Friendly As mentioned, applying two layers in spring and fall provides enough hydration. It's perfect when you're lazy to apply multiple products or want to minimize your routine (but don't use this alone every day). * Overall I haven't tried it in summer yet, so I can't speak for all seasons, but I intend to use it continuously except for summer. I used to use Scinic toner - A'pieu Madecassoside ampoule - Scinic emulsion, but now I use DEOM Yam toner twice - A'pieu ampoule in the morning, adding the emulsion at night. Even after being out all day with this morning routine, my cheeks never felt dry. While I'm unsure about its soothing properties, I recommend it for everything else.
Cons* Bottle Opening If I really had to nitpick, the bottle opening is a bit narrow, making it slightly frustrating to dispense the product. That's it!
TipSince it's a viscous product, when using cotton pads, it's better to use embossed ones for better absorption. I'm lazy, so I just use tissue-type pads and wait about 10 seconds for absorption before use. If you exfoliate separately, you can apply it directly to your hands or face without any issues.

Skin-friendly ingredients🌱 - Free from allergens, it suited my sensitive skin well. Even after suffering from seborrheic dermatitis, which made my skin extremely sensitive, this product worked great for me! I'm grateful to The Hwahae Testers for introducing me to this excellent toner. 2. Gentle, nourishing, and intensely moisturizing💧 - As mentioned in the product description, it offers a dual moisturizing layered effect (surface and deep hydration). Unlike typical watery toners, this one leaves a rich finish, preventing dryness even after some time. It doesn't feel heavy even when applied under an emulsion, which I appreciate. The slight viscosity helps combat deep dryness, which is very satisfying. 3. Texture🌝 - It has a translucent, white, mucus-like consistency with some viscosity. Despite its thickness, it absorbs relatively well when patted into the skin and doesn't leave a sticky residue. The skin feels plump and supple after absorption. 4. Packaging & Appearance⚘️ - The toner bottle has a clean, sleek design. Its transparency makes it easy to check the remaining product. It's simplicity at its best, and I love how aesthetically pleasing it looks.
Cons1. As an exfoliating toner & Quick absorption💧 - Due to its mucus-like texture and slower absorption rate, it might not be ideal as an exfoliating toner. While I don't mind taking my time to let it absorb and prefer layering, those who prefer quick-absorbing products or primarily use exfoliating toners might find it a bit heavy.
Tip1. Layering tip😶🌫️ - To combat deep dryness, try applying the toner once, wait for a while, then apply a second layer before your emulsion. Also, for those with sensitive skin who might react even to exfoliating toners, I recommend gently patting it in with your hands for slower absorption, as I do.

My skin is sensitive with poor oil-moisture balance! * Ingredients: I love how gentle they are! Even with mild ingredients, some don't suit me personally, but looking at the full ingredient list for this one, there was nothing concerning. When I used it, I didn't feel any tingling or incompatibility at all. * Application: It's not sticky, but has a firm, liquid-like texture. It's softer and milkier than a runny consistency. * Addressing deep dryness: This was my favorite part! My skin is super sensitive, so I absolutely avoid using toners with docosanol. I usually layer and absorb multiple hydrating serums or moisturizing toners. Even then, I hadn't found a toner that felt just right, so I was a bit of a toner nomad. But this one has a texture that's right in between an intensely moisturizing toner and a lightweight one, making it perfect for multiple layers. It completely eliminated my deep dryness. * Redness + Skin texture: When my skin isn't in good condition, it tends to get red. I've been experiencing some redness lately, but as you can see in the photo, it doesn't look too red now. After using this before bed and again the next evening, I noticed the redness had slightly subsided. I think it's because it hydrates so well. Plus, since the deep dryness is addressed, my makeup doesn't flake off as much. My skin texture also feels a bit smoother! * Scent: I like that it's fragrance-free, so there's no irritating feeling, and it doesn't have any unpleasant smell either.
Cons* Packaging: It's not a huge inconvenience, but it's a bit disappointing that it doesn't come out in a refreshing splash. It dispenses a bit sluggishly when using. I think it's more noticeable for me since I apply multiple layers, so please keep that in mind.
TipFor those with similar skin types to mine, try applying small amounts in multiple layers! I've also tried applying a lot at once, but I definitely felt some surface dryness with deep dehydration underneath. Highly recommended for combination dehydrated skin types!

Absorption: I've been using a toner that requires cotton pads, so I initially thought this one didn't absorb well. But it actually leaves a moisturizing feeling on the skin, which is why it felt that way. Hydration: I almost forgot it had hyaluronic acid and thought, 'Is it sticky?' But later, I appreciated how long-lasting the hydration was. My dry skin usually gets parched quickly, but this keeps it moisturized for a long time. Overall, I'm satisfied. It's an excellent toner to use year-round, except maybe in summer.
ConsThose with oily skin might find it a bit heavy! It can feel sticky when applied because it's so moisturizing. At first, I felt it was hydrating, but if you pat it in too much, it might start to feel tacky. Also, the price... It would be great if it were a bit more affordable!
TipI use a toner that requires cotton pads, so I used this one like an essence after cleansing! It was so hydrating that I thought it could pass for an essence! And when I apply cream afterwards, my skin stays super moisturized until the next day, even in winter!

It's better to apply it on the back of your hand and pat it into your skin rather than rubbing it between your palms. ✔️ Absorption is a bit slow after application. It's not frustratingly slow, but there's a slight stickiness and a feeling of it sitting on top of the skin. However, it absorbs nicely given some time. ✔️ When you wake up after applying this at night, your skin feels incredibly firm and supple. It's perfect for nighttime use, but might feel a bit heavy in the morning. ✔️ Rather than completely eliminating blemishes, it seems to slightly alleviate and balance them out. ✔️ I have super sensitive skin, but this didn't cause any blemishes or redness at all. ✔️ It's fragrance-free. I don't particularly mind scents, but this would be great for those who are sensitive to fragrances. ✔️ It provides excellent hydration. I used to feel dryness deep in my skin, but that disappeared after using this. I wonder if this is still suitable for combination dehydrated skin? It feels like I've overcome that skin type. ✔️ The amount is generous. It'll last for a long time. Personally, I'm so satisfied that I'd want to repurchase it once I finish this one.
Cons✔️ It might feel heavy for oily skin types during summer. Highly recommended for dry skin, though oily skin types could benefit from it in winter too.
TipIt works incredibly well when you dispense it separately and gently pat it into your skin.

Hydration power - The slightly viscous texture provides excellent moisture retention. Personally, I love using it after hydrating in the previous step, as this toner with yam extract really locks in the moisture. 3. Ingredients The gentle ingredients provide hydration without causing blemishes. It's great for preventing those tiny bumps that appear due to lack of moisture.
Cons1. Inconvenient bottle opening and cap The opening is frustratingly narrow. While too wide an opening might make it hard to control the amount, it's annoying that only a drop comes out when you want to apply it quickly after cleansing. 2. Slow absorption Due to its viscosity, it absorbs a bit slowly. This can be tricky when you're in a hurry and need to apply makeup. It's fine when you have time to let it sink in, but if you're rushed, it might cause your makeup to pill.
TipI recommend this more as a hydrating toner rather than an exfoliating one. Try applying a hydrating serum before this toner to get both hydration and moisture. Better suited for dry skin than oily skin. Remember, a toner is just a toner... Don't stop your routine here! Finish with a moisturizing cream for best results. While this isn't a drying toner by any means, it shouldn't be your last step.

Simple yet sophisticated packaging The package features a yam photo, true to its name as a yam moisturizing toner. It evokes a pure yet stylish image. The absence of harmful ingredients adds to its clean impression. 2. Excellent ingredients As someone with super sensitive skin, I felt at ease using this product, knowing it's free from 20 potentially irritating ingredients and common allergens. With the holiday season upon us and inevitable social gatherings, I was initially hesitant to try a new product. However, thanks to its gentle formulation, I could hydrate my skin without any blemishes! The fragrance-free formula is also perfect for those sensitive to cosmetic scents. 3. Ideal texture for winter As a yam moisturizing toner, it has a consistency that matches the sticky, mucilaginous properties of yam. This viscous texture is often referred to as the 'mucin texture'. I used to have oily, acne-prone skin, but at 25, it changed to combination dehydrated and sensitive skin. That's when I discovered the benefits of this texture! I'm usually wary of layering too many products as my skin easily breaks out if something doesn't absorb well. I prefer using just 2-3 light layers, even if it means slightly drier skin. This product is perfect for winter mornings - two layers provide just the right amount of hydration without feeling heavy. It absorbs well and noticeably addresses deep dryness. In the evenings, I use it as an exfoliating toner, followed by a moisturizer to complete my skincare routine.
Cons1. Droplet dispenser The viscous texture means the liquid comes out in small drops, which can be a bit frustrating. While this might help with controlling the amount, I mainly use it with a cotton pad and would prefer if it dispensed more freely. A pump-style bottle could be a good alternative!
TipFor those with sensitive skin who can't use exfoliating toners, I recommend this as a gentle alternative. The product's viscosity softens the cotton pad, significantly reducing irritation. When used in the morning, it absorbs quickly for a fresh feel. Even after exposure to cold winds outdoors, you'll experience soft, supple skin without any deep dryness!
