In the winter, my initial thought when I applied it was that it went on thinly, and over time there was a slightly floating sensation, but the coverage and staying power were both good. After trying the cover layer thingy, the product I bought definitely has lower coverage. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 24, 2025
As expected from a steady seller, the overall user experience was really good. The coverage is quite high compared to recent products, the adherence is decent, and the staying power is good, making it a nice choice for winter and transitional seasons. Jung Saem Mool products definitely have color shades more like foreign cosmetics. I was surprised at how incredibly dark the medium shade was. Make sure to check the color before purchasing, and be careful when applying as it can look unattractive if it breaks down, so you need to apply it thinly and carefully. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMar 3, 2025
This is my holy grail cushion foundation! The perfect balance of hydration and coverage. It's moisturizing yet provides excellent coverage, concealing pores beautifully. The color is lovely, and it has great staying power. I've gone through several refills because I love it so much! The puff is round, but I think if it had a slightly pointed tip like a teardrop shape, which is common in newer puffs, it would be even better for covering around the nose area. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinFeb 22, 2025
Skin type: Combination dehydrated/Acne-prone/Blemishes In winter, makeup tends to separate easily, and due to acne and blemishes, I prefer cosmetics with good coverage! Advantages: Beautiful skin finish! Long-lasting, Quite good coverage Drawbacks: When I buy shade 23, it seems to come out a bit darker than my original skin tone, which I hadn't noticed before. There's some darkening, and it can become thick if not careful > Important to control the amount Since it tends to darken and the color comes out a bit dark, it might be good to buy one shade lighter! I now understand why people rave about Jung Saem Mool despite the price. Definitely considering repurchasing in a lighter shade - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 4, 2025
First off, I have combination skin with severe dead skin cells, redness, blemishes, and scarring, along with a yellowish undertone. Coverage: It takes about 3 layers to achieve decent coverage. Adherence: Since one layer isn't nearly enough, I have to apply multiple layers, which unfortunately leads to significant transfer. Recommended skin tone: 22-23 (the formula has a yellowish tint). Longevity: Lasts about 5-6 hours. Hydration: It's incredibly hydrating! To start, there's some transfer, and I wouldn't recommend it for those with oily skin. (It might not suit cool-toned individuals either.) It seems better suited for winter use or for those with dry skin. I'd suggest choosing a shade lighter than your actual skin tone. When I matched it to my skin tone, the darkening effect was quite noticeable. It breaks down badly under heater air, and it doesn't look pretty when it does. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 8, 2025
Skin type: (Extremely) Dry Shade: 23 For those of us with extremely dry skin, it's usually a trade-off between a hydrating cushion and one with good coverage and staying power. However, the Jung Saem Mool cushion excels in every aspect. Firstly, the coverage is impressive. Despite having blemishes and acne-prone skin, this cushion alone provides perfect coverage for imperfections. It also does an excellent job of concealing acne. As for longevity, a few hours after applying powder, you'll notice a natural glow emerging as the oils come through, but without any dryness. The foundation adheres beautifully to the skin. I don't even need to touch up when wearing this. The skin finish is absolutely stunning - it makes your complexion look flawless, like porcelain. The glow it imparts is truly... well, it creates the most perfect skin finish imaginable! The main drawback is the darkening effect. As time passes, you might end up looking a bit sallow. The cushion shade itself runs dark, so you might want to choose a lighter shade than usual. - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 21, 2024
The coverage is excellent, and the staying power is fantastic. You only need to touch up once a day. There's a slight darkening effect, so proper skincare is absolutely essential. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 13, 2024
This has been my go-to product for 5 years now. I keep coming back to it because of its satisfying coverage and lasting power. While it's pricier compared to other cushions, I love that I can get it at a better price on Hwahae. It's on the expensive side compared to other cushions, but the quality is worth it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 20, 2024
Great coverage, absorbs well, and has excellent staying power. I used it a lot during the hottest days this summer, and it was amazing - no shine, not heavy at all, just perfect. If there's one thing to improve, it's the price. I wish it were a bit more affordable. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 15, 2024
While it's a bit heavy for summer use, there's no better cushion for covering blemish marks. When applied in thin layers, it has excellent staying power, barely budging from morning to night. It may darken over time. If you don't control the amount well, it can appear thick on the skin.
