Texture & Application The cushion's content has a slightly fluid, hydrating essence-like texture. When pressed with the puff, it doesn't transfer too much product, but applies thinly and evenly. The application is incredibly smooth and blends effortlessly, almost as if it's melting into my skin. Its excellent adherence allows for a beautiful skin finish without requiring any special technique. ⸻ Coverage & Skin Finish This product focuses on a 'natural skin-like finish' rather than full coverage. • It conceals about 70-80% of blemishes and redness, with the rest subtly peeking through, resulting in a healthier, more realistic skin appearance. • Even with just one layer, it covers imperfections to some extent while creating a luminous semi-glow finish. Surprisingly, it layers beautifully without caking, allowing for very natural build-up. It truly lives up to its reputation as the gold standard for 'texture expression' from a makeup artist brand. ⸻ Color [Medium] Experience I used the color **[Medium]**, which: • Is a neutral beige that blends naturally with medium skin tones (between shade 22-23). • Balances out redness in ruddy skin and doesn't look too ashy on yellow-toned skin - it's a really well-crafted shade. It's perfect for when you want to even out your skin tone while maintaining a natural glow. ⸻ Longevity & Pilling • Initially, it gives a dewy, beautiful glow, but over time it settles into a subtle radiance that breaks down naturally. • It might not suit those seeking a completely matte base, but if you want skin that looks even better as time passes, you'll be satisfied. • However, for oily skin or in hot weather, it may break down around the nose and T-zone. For oily skin types, I recommend setting with powder or using a fixer. ⸻ Overall Assessment • Pros: - Natural and sophisticated skin finish - Thin application with high adherence - Beautiful radiance with semi-glow finish - Skin-like coverage - Even when it breaks down, it does so beautifully and naturally • Cons: - Might feel slightly rich for oily skin - The puff tends to absorb some product - Limited coverage for dark circles/prominent blemishes ⸻ In conclusion, 'Thin and lightweight, yet sophisticated and flawless skin expression'. This cushion is perfect for those who want to look like they naturally have good skin, rather than looking heavily made up. 1. Might feel slightly heavy for oily skin While the glow is great for dry to normal skin, it may feel a bit heavy or break down faster on oily skin. In such cases, I recommend lightly setting with a 'long-wear setting powder'! 2. The puff absorbs product slightly The included puff is nicely dense, but it tends to soak up some of the product. It's best to be careful with product control. Some people even opt to use a different puff. 3. Not for complete blemish coverage While it creates a beautiful skin finish, for dark spots, dark circles, or inflamed blemishes, you'll need to pair it with a concealer for higher satisfaction. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 22, 2025
I have a deep warm undertone between shades 22-23. I tried the Light shade before, but it was too bright, so I went for Medium this time. The tone is spot on! If you're between shades 22 and 23, definitely go for Medium! The application is... words can't do it justice. It's amazing - even if you slather it on carelessly, you'll end up with porcelain-like skin. Trust me on this! I saw a YouTuber mention it goes on thick, but I've used 5 bottles of the Medium shade and never felt that way! It's all about how much you use - apply it thinly and it won't be heavy at all. Plus, for a Glow cushion, its coverage is surprisingly good. I used this even when I had lots of blemishes as a student. Despite my sensitive skin, it didn't cause any irritation. It's truly a cushion I adore! The color is a bit yellow-toned, which is a shame. I wish they'd release a Pink Medium shade! You can achieve porcelain-like skin even with a quick application. - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 13, 2024
As someone in their early 30s with dry skin, I'm impressed by how this moisturizer absorbs well without any patchiness, leaving my skin feeling hydrated. The staying power is just so-so, which is a bit disappointing. It seems that while it provides good hydration, its longevity is lacking. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 30, 2024
It doesn't cake up and absorbs beautifully! Even after trying other products, I always come back to this one. The shade is slightly darker compared to other products, and the coverage is a bit lacking, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 20, 2024
Great coverage, absorbs well, and has excellent staying power. I used it a lot during the hottest days this summer, and it was amazing - no shine, not heavy at all, just perfect. If there's one thing to improve, it's the price. I wish it were a bit more affordable. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSep 9, 2024
Applies thinly and gives a beautiful skin finish. Minimizes the appearance of pores and doesn't settle into nose creases. It's quite good overall, except for some darkening and weak staying power in the oily T-zone where I sweat a lot. Due to the darkening effect, I bought a slightly lighter shade. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAug 29, 2024
The foundation applies smoothly without caking and adheres well to the skin. Its moisturizing formula makes it ideal for oily skin types during winter. While it doesn't provide heavy coverage, layering it thinly can conceal minor imperfections to some extent. The shade seems to match fairly well for those with a complexion close to shade 23. After application, it leaves a grayish cast that makes the complexion appear a bit dull. While it applies nicely without flaking, even on skin prone to dead skin cells, the color is somewhat disappointing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 27, 2024
This is the best cushion foundation I've ever used, and I've been using it for a long time. It's top-notch in terms of how it absorbs and its staying power. Truly the ultimate cushion foundation! My skin feels dry after using it. It could be because I'm not moisturizing enough. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 8, 2024
1. No puffiness or accentuated dead skin cells 2. Blends most naturally with the complexion 3. No tightness or dryness on the face 4. Lovely powdery finish 5. When set with powder, it has great longevity and doesn't break down 6. The puff applies the product evenly - I've tried many products, but Jung Saem Mool is the best, so I'm sticking with it 1. Slight settling into wrinkles - There weren't really any other downsides worth mentioning Finishing with powder after applying the cushion increases its staying power If you add a setting spray at the end, your morning makeup will look the same in the evening For a hydrated makeup look, build a solid skincare base before applying the cushion, then spritz with a face mist after application to avoid any tightness or dryness - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 4, 2024
Wow, I can't believe how lightweight and amazing this is! It applies smoothly and effortlessly in the morning when I'm doing my makeup. But where it really shines? Touch-ups! It blends in perfectly without caking, even when you layer it. It's like a perfect dance on your skin. The formula feels so comfortable, not drying at all. I bought the Medium shade (23) and it matches my complexion beautifully. Honestly, I haven't found any downsides yet. And I doubt I will!
