Even with my dry skin and minimal skincare routine, this foundation didn't flake or look patchy. The adherence was perfect! I highly recommend this to anyone who usually wears shades 21-23! It caused some darkening, and the amount feels a bit small for the price. This foundation works hard to provide excellent coverage and a flawless finish. It evens out the complexion beautifully, absorbs well into the skin, and doesn't leave any sticky residue. The formula seems to balance oil and moisture effectively, giving a natural glow without emphasizing pores or causing irritation. It's particularly suitable for those with combination dehydrated skin or super sensitive skin types. However, be mindful of potential blemishes or allergic reactions, and consider layering with a brightening moisturizer for an added Inner Glow effect. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 31, 2025
Skin perfecting, glow, it's all great! If you're looking for a natural-looking cushion foundation, I highly recommend this one. The coverage for blemish marks is a bit lacking, and there's some transfer which is disappointing. There's also a slight darkening effect, unfortunately. I suggest using it together with a fixer or powder for best results. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 11, 2025
The first day I applied it and went out, it was absolutely amazing. Everyone I met asked what I was using because my skin looked so good. It had just the right amount of hydration without being too matte. The texture was perfect for application. The coverage is also excellent - you can conceal everything with just this product alone. The darkening effect is truly legendary... in the worst way possible. After a while, it's like you've applied dirt to your face. The color is already dark, and since I have oily skin, it seems even worse. I realize now that on the first day, when everyone complimented my skin, we were in a dimly lit bar. It's such a waste of money. Even when I apply it thinly and layer a lighter cushion on top that doesn't usually cause darkening, the effect is still extreme. I always end up looking like I'm covered in dirt. It's heartbreaking because I love the coverage, the color, and how it feels, but the darkening makes it unusable. If it weren't for the darkening, I'd dare say this would be the best cushion of my life. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinFeb 22, 2025
Skin type: Combination dehydrated/Acne-prone/Blemishes In winter, makeup tends to separate easily, and due to acne and blemishes, I prefer cosmetics with good coverage! Advantages: Beautiful skin finish! Long-lasting, Quite good coverage Drawbacks: When I buy shade 23, it seems to come out a bit darker than my original skin tone, which I hadn't noticed before. There's some darkening, and it can become thick if not careful > Important to control the amount Since it tends to darken and the color comes out a bit dark, it might be good to buy one shade lighter! I now understand why people rave about Jung Saem Mool despite the price. Definitely considering repurchasing in a lighter shade - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 18, 2025
It effectively conceals blemishes. I really appreciated the cushion's adjustable coverage feature on the lid. The darkening effect is extremely severe. I strongly recommend purchasing a shade or half-shade lighter than your usual tone. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 4, 2025
First off, I have combination skin with severe dead skin cells, redness, blemishes, and scarring, along with a yellowish undertone. Coverage: It takes about 3 layers to achieve decent coverage. Adherence: Since one layer isn't nearly enough, I have to apply multiple layers, which unfortunately leads to significant transfer. Recommended skin tone: 22-23 (the formula has a yellowish tint). Longevity: Lasts about 5-6 hours. Hydration: It's incredibly hydrating! To start, there's some transfer, and I wouldn't recommend it for those with oily skin. (It might not suit cool-toned individuals either.) It seems better suited for winter use or for those with dry skin. I'd suggest choosing a shade lighter than your actual skin tone. When I matched it to my skin tone, the darkening effect was quite noticeable. It breaks down badly under heater air, and it doesn't look pretty when it does. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 20, 2025
I'm almost finished with the full-size product, and I must say it adheres well to the skin, effectively covering pores and blemishes. The finish is pleasantly matte. The 'Medium' shade is too dark. I'd recommend going one or two shades lighter. Also, be aware that it tends to oxidize a bit. Perhaps due to my oily skin, some shine does come through, so I need to set it with powder to maintain a clean look. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 10, 2025
This cushion foundation is truly top-tier when it comes to hydration! It's especially great for those with darker complexions. The darkening effect was quite noticeable... and it transfers heavily onto masks and hats, which is a real issue. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 8, 2025
Skin type: (Extremely) Dry Shade: 23 For those of us with extremely dry skin, it's usually a trade-off between a hydrating cushion and one with good coverage and staying power. However, the Jung Saem Mool cushion excels in every aspect. Firstly, the coverage is impressive. Despite having blemishes and acne-prone skin, this cushion alone provides perfect coverage for imperfections. It also does an excellent job of concealing acne. As for longevity, a few hours after applying powder, you'll notice a natural glow emerging as the oils come through, but without any dryness. The foundation adheres beautifully to the skin. I don't even need to touch up when wearing this. The skin finish is absolutely stunning - it makes your complexion look flawless, like porcelain. The glow it imparts is truly... well, it creates the most perfect skin finish imaginable! The main drawback is the darkening effect. As time passes, you might end up looking a bit sallow. The cushion shade itself runs dark, so you might want to choose a lighter shade than usual. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 29, 2024
It adheres well to the skin and doesn't feel heavy, which I really appreciate The coverage isn't great, so you'll need to use a separate concealer for areas that need more coverage. Also, it tends to darken over time
