1) The pads are incredibly soft and have a nice elastic tension that stretches well. One pad can cover an entire cheek area! 2) I love that the pads are generously soaked with the cream essence. 3) Even with my allergic, sensitive, and atopic skin, I experienced no irritation. It didn't sting even when my cheeks were painfully chapped. 4) I tried using it like a cleansing pad before applying makeup, and it worked great. It didn't cause pilling and my makeup applied smoothly afterwards. 1) Don't use this when you have thick dead skin cells buildup, as it won't absorb well and just sits on top of the skin. 2) It's not a product that dramatically transforms your skin. The package includes tweezers, and since the pads tend to shed fibers easily, handle them gently when picking them up. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2022
First off, the size is huge! It seems much larger compared to other pads. That's why one sheet is enough when using it to cleanse. And since it's the cream moisturizing version, it feels way more hydrating than the previous version. It's great for masking by placing it on your cheeks. I always do my skincare routine in the car on my way to work, so I can't use cotton pads with toner. I only use pre-soaked pads, and I'm very careful in choosing them because I have sensitive skin. But the Dermatory Cream Moisturizing Pad is perfect! Oh, and it also helps calm redness and seems to prep the skin well for makeup. Plus, there's plenty of essence in the jar. Pad enthusiasts know that as you use them, the essence inside tends to dry up. But with this one, there's enough to last until you've used the very last pad. The absorption is a bit slow. If you swipe it on the back of your hand, you'll understand what I mean. It feels slightly slippery and takes time to absorb. I think Director Pi mentioned that gentler products tend to be like this. It's probably because they use fewer fast-absorbing chemicals. But for me, it's fine because I leave it on my cheeks, remove it, and then it absorbs as I move on to the emulsion step. Oh, and occasionally when the lid doesn't close properly, it can be a disaster. If it tips over, the essence will spill out, so use it without removing the inner seal. Use as a soothing mask by placing one sheet on each cheek - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 6, 2022
The pads are stretchy, making them perfect for sticking right on the center of your forehead (though obviously not enough for the sides, haha). You can also stretch them to cover your cheeks, so they work great as a quick mask. The Hwahae Testers will love this: it calms down a forehead ravaged by dead skin cells! That's my biggest concern right now, so I'm satisfied if it just fixes that. I'll have to try it as a mask before makeup to see if it prevents pilling. When I use it the night before and sleep on it, my skin gets dehydrated overnight... So the dead skin cells start to appear, making my makeup pill similarly... The essence comes in a crazy large quantity - even after using all the pads, there'll probably be tons left. Just one pad leaves enough essence for your whole face and then some! The formula is an opaque, runny essence type. The pads are really soaked, so you have to squeeze them a bit to get them out. If you just stick them on, the essence drips all over your face. That's why it's a hassle to use and I don't reach for it often. For those who hate stickiness, it's a bit sticky - I just wipe it off my hands, but have to endure it on my face. It feels heavy, shiny, and slow to absorb (though it's better once it does absorb). Not recommended for oily skin types! It leaves a super rich feeling. Since my skin is super sensitive right now, I felt a slight tingling for a moment after applying it. I'll have to try it as a mask before makeup tomorrow to see if it prevents pilling. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 16, 2022
This product is fantastic for hydration! I don't use it daily, but rather as a special pre-makeup mask for important occasions. As someone with dry skin, I've struggled with makeup looking flaky and patchy, creating an unsightly appearance even when using moisturizing creams and hydrating cushion foundations. However, when I apply these pads to areas prone to dryness or gently pat the product into my skin, my makeup doesn't flake and my complexion stays beautifully moisturized. I'm absolutely thrilled with the results! Once you open the container, you'll notice there's plenty of essence. You might even be able to use it with other cotton pads after finishing the original ones. I love that it comes with tweezers and has separate compartments for storage, making it both hygienic and convenient. While I'd love to take this on trips, the abundance of essence makes it a bit tricky to travel with - you have to be careful not to spill it! Also, it's important to pat the product into your skin after using the pads, as the absorption isn't immediate. It might feel like it doesn't absorb well at first, but after gently tapping it in a few times, it sinks right in. So, it's not a major drawback. Funny enough, I originally bought this as a gift for my boyfriend, but I've ended up using it myself! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 8, 2021
The essence is generously portioned and provides excellent hydration while feeling moisturizing. It comes with built-in tweezers for a clean application, and it's fragrance-free. On the downside, it absorbs slowly and tends to be on the oilier side. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 3, 2021
The adherence is truly excellent It's wonderfully moisturizing There's a generous amount of essence I didn't feel like it absorbed well The clip is disappointingly flimsy - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAug 20, 2020
Unlike regular pads, the essence is thinner with a slightly viscous texture. Designed for hydration rather than exfoliation, these generously sized pads (though not stretchable) are perfect for a mask-like treatment. While it does provide hydration, the essence doesn't absorb well and seems to sit on top of the skin. Not recommended for busy mornings when you're in a rush. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 6, 2020
The Hwahae Testers here! Sorry for the late review! This product provides excellent hydration! The emulsion is generously soaked into the pad. It's great to carry in a portable container when you've gone out without makeup. The scent is pleasant too! It seems perfect for light moisturizing in summer. When you don't want to do a full face mask, it's ideal for treating smaller areas! The moisturizing emulsion is so saturated that it drips and falls off when applied to the face, which is inconvenient. The built-in plastic tweezers are weak and break easily. For quick hydration, I wonder if applying the pad is effective... absorption is slow. If you already have a moisturizer at home, it's questionable whether you need these moisturizing pads. They seem more suitable for outdoor use or travel when you need hydration on-the-go. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 6, 2020
As a member of The Hwahae Testers, I'm excited to share my review! Despite having sensitive skin that usually reacts to the slightest ingredient mismatch with blemishes or small bumps, I experienced no irritation at all with this product. Thumbs up! The container is generously sized and comes with a separate applicator, ensuring hygienic use. My mom, who's extremely sensitive to fragrances, appreciated the unscented formula. I can comfortably wear it for extended periods without the discomfort of overwhelming scents that often make me want to remove masks prematurely. Storing it in the refrigerator adds a refreshing coolness. My skin feels so plump and bouncy now! Oh dear, I have dry and extremely sensitive skin that reacts to certain ingredients. Because of this, I usually let the essence from pads or sheet masks absorb partially before rinsing off with water as a final step. However, this product was unexpectedly rich - far beyond what I had anticipated. Despite gently patting to encourage absorption and waiting quite a while, it just wouldn't sink in properly. Even after rinsing with water, the rich feeling remained, necessitating an additional cleanse with soap. Unfortunately, the excessive richness outweighs the benefits for me. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 5, 2020
☆Review from The Hwahae Testers☆ 1. Generous amount of cream (essence) Although I haven't finished it yet, I felt the cream quantity was very generous while using it. There will likely be plenty left in the container even after finishing! No need to worry about running out midway through use. 2. Unbeatable hydration power For those with extremely dry skin who feel their skin is super tight, I'd recommend trying this product! The cream is incredibly rich, providing excellent hydration. I found it a bit heavy for daily use, so I applied it every third evening. 3. Thoughtful and hygienic packaging When you open it, there's an inner lid and a spatula sitting separately on top of the product. At first, I wondered why the inner lid wasn't attached, but then I realized if it had been, cream might have gotten everywhere when first opened. The user-considerate packaging really stood out. 1. Not the most convenient to use As mentioned in the pros, this product has amazing hydration power, so you need to make sure it absorbs well. It's not suitable for quick application or before makeup in the morning... Note that these aren't like toner pads you can quickly swipe across your face! 2. Texture Personally, I prefer lightweight, water-like products that absorb quickly rather than thick formulas that feel like they're coating my face. The latter often causes blemishes for me. However, the Dermatory moisture pads have that coating-like hydration. But this is purely a matter of preference and skin type, so those with extremely dry skin might love it! I'm currently developing a large blemish on my cheek, but I'm not sure if it's because of this. Unless you have extremely dry skin, I wouldn't recommend using this for morning skincare routines.
