The non-irritating formula and excellent hydration are definite pluses. (Though it does take a while to absorb...) This product was too heavy for my combination skin! My cheeks are dry while my T-zone is slightly oily, but it felt so rich that I only used it a few times before giving up. Even if you have dry skin and need moisture, I wouldn't recommend this if you dislike heavy products due to its high oil content! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 17, 2020
✓ Hydration True to its name as a moisturizing pad, the hydration power is impressive and long-lasting. However, it's more about nourishment, so it feels richer rather than watery! That's why I wouldn't recommend it for those who, like me, dislike residual oiliness on their skin. My sister has dry skin and she's absolutely loving it though. For me, this pad alone is enough to make my skin feel incredibly moisturized, completing my skincare routine. ✓ Convenience The pads aren't stiff or thick, but super soft and highly elastic. They stretch nicely to conform to the contours of your face, adhering perfectly. ✓ What I really loved! I was thrilled that the pads are thoroughly soaked in essence and the container is brimming with solution! The rich feeling lingers more than expected, which is a bit disappointing... I wish it provided more hydration. It's great to use these pads as a mask during your nighttime skincare routine. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinDec 5, 2019
This is my third jar of these hydrating pads, and I'm still loving them. As someone with dry skin, I find these provide sufficient hydration and balance my skin's oil and moisture levels without needing to use sheet masks or other toners and emulsions. I've also tried two jars of the cica pads, which are great for summer use as they're lighter. But these pads work well for me year-round, except during the peak of summer heat. Using these pads with the matching cream from the same line provides extreme hydration. Compared to the cica pads, these are larger and hold more of the heavier essence. The clean design allows for easy use with tweezers. Since I experience redness and flushing, I often keep them in the refrigerator and use them to cool down my skin. While the cica pads are good for soothing, they're too light and thin, quickly warming up. So, I've found myself reaching for these more often for calming effects. It seems those with oily skin might find these a bit too rich. I did notice the richness, but as I have dry skin, I felt it balanced my skin's oil and moisture well, so it wasn't a downside for me. My only wish is that there were about 100 pads per jar instead of 60. If they came in a larger size, I'd use them as masks and apply multiple at once. With just 60, they don't even last a month, which is a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 17, 2019
I've been using Dermatory Cica Pads with great satisfaction, so when I heard about their Cream Moisturizing Pads, I knew I had to try them. I finally got the chance, and here's what I think. First off, just like the Cica Pads, the box comes with a hygienic cover and tweezers for easy application, as well as an inner lid. Upon opening, you're greeted with pads soaked in a rich, creamy essence. The texture reminds me of slightly watered-down yogurt! The scent is almost non-existent, with just a hint of that medicinal ointment smell. It's not overpowering at all, so it shouldn't bother most people. When you pick up a pad with the tweezers, it feels soft and floppy due to being saturated with the creamy essence. Because they're so essence-rich and delicate, it's best to quickly place one on your cheek and spread it around. These pads are incredibly moisturizing. One pad holds enough essence to cover both cheeks, forehead, and still not dry out even after 20 minutes. That's some serious hydration power! The pad material is soft and stretchy, making it easy to fit on different areas of your face. I didn't experience any blemishes or irritation while using these pads, which is always a plus. While these pads provide ample moisture with long-lasting effects, they're slow to absorb. The hydration feels more oily than watery. If you have oily skin, you might find these extremely greasy. I wouldn't recommend them for oily skin types. Even with my dry skin, I found the oiliness a bit much, and it felt like it was sitting on top of my skin rather than absorbing fully. The user experience wasn't ideal for me. These might feel heavy and stuffy during summer use. The texture of the pads themselves was really nice, but... For those times when your skin feels dry and sensitive, try this routine after cleansing: Apply a Dermatory Cica Pad while you dry your hair. Once your hair is dry, use one of these moisturizing pads all over your face, letting it absorb. Then, finish with a light moisturizer to balance out the oil and lock in the hydration. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 28, 2019
The Hwahae Testers Review Reviewer's skin type: Combination skin prone to whiteheads and pustular acne While I believe it takes at least a month of using skincare products to truly assess their effectiveness, due to the nature of The Hwahae Testers program, I had to write this review within two weeks. Please note that I used this product once (evening) or twice (morning and evening) daily for about two weeks. Day 1: When I received this, my forehead was unusually dry and covered in whiteheads morning and night, so I decided to use it only on my forehead daily. I placed the first pad on my forehead, but even though I immediately lay down, the essence was so abundant it dripped into my eyes. Be careful when first using it. I didn't feel it absorb immediately after application. Days 2-4: Unlike the first day, the essence didn't drip, so I could do other things while wearing it on my forehead. However, it didn't feel like the advertised 'hydration bomb,' and the dryness on my forehead didn't particularly improve. Days 5-7: After applying to my forehead, I spread the remaining essence on other parts of my face. Areas like my cheeks became so moisturized they looked dewy. Despite usually being sensitive and reluctant to change skincare products, my skin improved significantly without any blemishes. The forehead, where I focused the application, got better than before. The feeling of dead skin cells when applying makeup also disappeared. Day 8 onwards: While the whiteheads on my forehead didn't notably improve, the dry feeling after use did. Considering the price and the number of pads, it seems worth purchasing and using regularly. Rich texture: I saw someone using these pads right before applying makeup, which seems a bit impractical. The oiliness lingers on your hands for a while after use, making it difficult to use in the morning when you need to apply makeup. However, on makeup-free weekends, I used it twice a day (morning and evening), and it wasn't excessively oily to the point of being problematic. Excess essence: Once you've used more than half the pads, you can see them soaking in essence, which makes me nervous about how much it might drip... Overall impression: While it's not exactly the 'hydration bomb' advertised that immediately makes everything better, it's not bad for consistent use, and skin hydration improves after a period of use. It's rich in oils, but not to the harmful extent of causing lots of acne. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 28, 2019
I was lucky enough to be selected as one of The Hwahae Testers and used this for nearly two weeks! While the formula is quite rich, which makes it a bit heavy for daily use, it's perfect for once or twice a week application. I just wish I had discovered this in winter! As someone with extremely dry skin that typically feels parched an hour after applying light skincare and cream, requiring a heavier moisturizer, I found this product lacking. Despite its richness, it seems to provide only oil without sufficient hydration. I still need to apply a lightweight toner to balance it out! The container is generously filled with essence. Applying a liberal amount to your face before using a modeling mask results in incredibly moisturized skin - it's wonderful! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 20, 2019
I was lucky enough to be selected as one of The Hwahae Testers to review this product! Many thanks to the Hwahae team and the brand for providing this opportunity and sending the product! My skin type: I have sensitive dry skin. My usual skincare routine is simple - toner, serum, and emulsion or cream. Recently, my already sensitive skin became even more delicate due to using an exfoliating product, which made trying this new product a bit challenging... I'll try to review it objectively despite this! Ingredients: The Dermatory moisturizing pads have really gentle ingredients! Even though my skin was extra sensitive from exfoliating, I didn't experience many blemishes (which I'm prone to when my skin is irritated). This seems suitable even for those with sensitive skin like mine. Essence quantity: The pads are soaked in a very generous amount of essence! I was truly impressed by how much there was - it's incredibly good value! Cooling effect: I loved the cooling sensation when applying these pads to my face (and I don't even store them in the fridge!). Since my face tends to feel warm, this was really soothing. It seems great for calming the skin. Pad size: The pads seem slightly larger than average. They covered most of my cheeks when I used one pad on each side, which was satisfying. Hygiene & packaging: My favorite aspect was the double-layered container design, which keeps the product hygienic. This also prevents essence evaporation and leakage. The included tweezers help prevent bacterial contamination and make it easy to separate and apply the pads. Hydration: As a moisturizing product, it definitely provides hydration. The abundance of essence probably contributes to this. As someone with dry skin, I appreciated the boost in moisture. Oiliness: Although I have dry skin, I need to maintain a good oil-moisture balance. Usually, I follow up water-based products with something slightly oily. However, the oiliness of this product is off the charts! While the pad is on my face, I only feel the hydration. But the moment I remove it, the oiliness becomes apparent... It's too much even for my dry skin. After touching my face once, my palms feel greasy. It's really inconvenient when using my phone. While this might work for extremely dry skin, it's a bit much for normal dry skin and I wouldn't recommend it for combination or oily skin types. If this product is ever reformulated, I hope they reduce the oiliness a bit. With just the right amount of oil, it could be an amazing product! Essence quantity: As mentioned earlier, while the generous amount of essence is great, it can be a downside too. When you put the pad directly on your face, the essence drips down... It would be nice if there was a mesh or something to help control the amount of essence before applying it to the face. Of course, that would probably make the product more expensive... Tweezers: The tweezers aren't as sturdy as I expected. They cracked after just one misuse, even though I haven't used them for long. I'm worried they might break completely if I'm not careful. While I'm truly grateful for their inclusion, I wish they were a bit more durable! But I'm still thankful they're included at all. Apart from these three points, I didn't have any other issues! Use these in the evening rather than the morning! The oiliness is too heavy for daytime use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 22, 2019
I'm so grateful to have won the Hwahae Testers selection for the first time! As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I can say that the dry areas are really dry. This is just my personal opinion, and individual experiences may vary. It was my first time trying a Dermatory product, and I was truly impressed. Here are the highlights: Essence Quantity: There's an abundance of essence! I've never seen so much before - it's amazing they've included this much. You could even use it with cotton pads after finishing the sheet. Scent: It's fragrance-free, though I detected a slight medicinal scent. My sensitive nose picked it up, but my mom couldn't smell anything. Pad: Perfect for masking! It's thick and covers my entire cheek area, which tends to be very dry. The size seems well-considered. It's also so soft, it puts me in a good mood. Elasticity: The stretchiness is incredible. You can expand the circular pad horizontally, and it stretches beautifully. Adherence: I tried laughing, running around, and all sorts of movements, but it stayed put! Usually, sheet masks fall off when I move, but this one's adherence is excellent. Gentleness: Despite my sensitive skin that often reacts to products, I didn't experience any tingling or discomfort at all with this one. For Very Dry Skin: Highly recommended for those with extremely dry skin due to its excellent hydration properties. Pre-makeup Use: I use this before applying makeup. I typically use a matte base, which can be challenging to apply in winter, but when I use this mask and let it absorb before makeup application, my foundation goes on smoothly! One sheet is more than enough for the entire face. However, I'd suggest using it 3-4 times a week rather than daily, especially when your skin feels parched. Hygiene: The packaging is really hygienic. There's a clip inside and a second lid, which helps keep dust out. Hydration: It provides excellent hydration. I left it on for 15 minutes, then placed it on my desk overnight. Surprisingly, essence was still dripping from the pad - 2-3 drops fell, which amazed me. That concludes the positives - there are many! And yes, I would definitely repurchase this product. While there are many positives, there are also some drawbacks: Rich Texture: As it's a hydrating pad, it does feel rich, but I prefer products that absorb quickly. I found it a bit too oily even after absorption. Lingering Sensation: While the overall experience was good, there was a persistent surface feeling that I didn't particularly enjoy. Daily Use Concern: It feels a bit heavy for everyday use. As mentioned in the positives, I'd recommend using it 3-4 times a week. Excess Essence: This could be seen as both a pro and a con. For me, there's too much essence. When I pick up the pad with the clip, it drips, and it also drips when I apply it to my cheeks. I think I'll need to remove some excess before use. That's all for the drawbacks! Here are my pro tips: If there's too much essence for pad use, apply a small amount with your hands for a less overwhelming experience. After using the pad, there's still a lot of essence left. You can apply the used pad to areas like your legs or heels for extra softness. It stays put well too! Thank you for reading my lengthy review!
