This is my go-to daily lip color, and I'm already on my third tube. It looks beautiful worn alone, and it's equally stunning when applied just to the inner part of the lips over a nude lipstick. The staying power is impressive, and I love how it has a matte finish while still applying smoothly and feeling soft on the lips. I can't really think of any downsides... Oh, wait, I suppose the only thing I wish for is that my complexion was a bit brighter - then maybe the color would pop even more beautifully. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 19, 2020
Mood Recipe Matte Lip Color [#909 Smoked Rose] Color: While browsing the lipstick section at Olive Young, this caught my eye. I tried it on and it's the epitome of a dark red. It's a perfect match for my deep undertone complexion, so I bought it right away. This shade will look absolutely stunning on warm-toned individuals. Scent: The fragrance is almost non-existent. Staying power: After returning from my academy and having a meal, I checked the mirror. Even after about 4 hours, it had only slightly faded on the inner part of my lips, but mostly remained intact. Value for money: To be honest, it's not the most budget-friendly option. It might be a bit pricey for students, making it somewhat burdensome for regular purchases. Color retention: I'm not sure if this counts as staining, but I loved how it stayed put exactly as applied even after time passed. Especially appreciated that it didn't turn pink. This product is extremely matte, so if you apply it without lip balm, it severely emphasizes dead skin cells. Even with lip balm, some flaking occurs after a while. Unfortunately, as time passes, the dead skin cells become more noticeable, making touch-ups less attractive. You need to keep applying lip balm, which is a drawback. Also, the price isn't particularly wallet-friendly, which is disappointing. Before applying this lip color, it's crucial to use lip balm to eliminate dead skin cells for a flawless application without any flaking. Since it's a dark red shade, which can be intimidating for full lip application, try applying any base lip color first, then gradient this product just on the inner part of your lips. This technique will give you a perfect autumn vibe. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 5, 2020
The color is truly beautiful! It's great as a blush, with an autumnal tone that looks lovely when applied in fall. It complements almost any makeup look. The staying power isn't too bad either. Sometimes it applies unevenly, only sticking to the outer areas, and it can clump a bit! It works well as a blush and complements any makeup look nicely. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAug 24, 2020
Color: It's a deep brick red. When applied heavily, it turns into a muted red-brown, but when lightly smudged, it creates a beautifully enigmatic look. It has a rose-chili-brown vibe. The color is absolutely gorgeous! Staying power: I was surprised by how long-lasting this lipstick is. After wearing it for about 4 hours, it was still almost intact. Of course, it will come off if you eat a proper meal. Application: The texture is a bit stiff, which is disappointing. When your lips are in good condition, it glides on smoothly, but if there are any dead skin cells, it becomes patchy and difficult to apply. Accentuates flakiness: Perhaps due to its stiff texture, it tends to highlight dead skin cells. You need to exfoliate your lips every time before use. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 23, 2020
Perfect for warm-toned gals! The color is absolutely stunning. It's the kind of lip product that instantly elevates your mood. The staying power isn't bad either. The biggest downside is the price... Due to the brand's policy, they rarely have sales, so you need to wait for big discount events to get it at a reasonable price. Also, it's so matte that you can't even think about using it when your lips are in poor condition, and it tends to set quite quickly. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 12, 2020
☆ Color They absolutely nailed the shade. It's a rose tint with a few drops of brown mixed in. Perfect for those moody days when you want to set the tone. When you're going for light eye makeup and want your lips to be the focal point, this is spot on. ☆ Scent There's no noticeable fragrance, which is great and non-intrusive. ☆ Application Despite being matte, it doesn't crack excessively like some ultra-matte formulas. It applies smoothly. ☆ Longevity Being matte, it seems to last quite a while, but it does disappear after eating. With masks being common these days, it tends to transfer quite a bit. Touch-ups are definitely necessary. The price... 3CE can be a bit hard on the wallet. But it's understandable given how pretty it is. Since it's matte, applying a generous amount of lip balm beforehand can help prevent extreme dryness. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 11, 2020
The color payoff is absolutely incredible! I usually have a dull lip color, but this lipstick completely covers it and shows up true to the shade. The staying power is impressive too. Even when I drink with a straw and eat normally, it only fades slightly on the inner part of my lips. That's pretty good in my book! The adherence is also fantastic - it feels like it's melting into my lips, almost like it's just another layer of my natural lip. It does emphasize dry patches a bit... That's the only downside, everything else is great! Here's a tip: Apply a generous amount of lip balm the night before, let it soften any dead skin cells, then wipe it off in the morning before applying the lipstick. This almost completely eliminates any emphasis on dry patches! Also, this shade is perfect for warm undertones, so if you're a warm-toned beauty, you absolutely must get this! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 7, 2020
This is the first time I've found a lip color that perfectly matches my complexion, and I'm absolutely thrilled with it. The brick shade is absolutely gorgeous. I'm pleasantly surprised by how long-lasting it is! Due to its matte finish, it tends to accentuate dead skin cells, and it might be challenging to apply multiple layers. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 6, 2020
First off, the color is absolutely gorgeous! I never used to wear MLBB shades much, but this lipstick has completely won me over to their charm. The color isn't too muted or dark - it's just right, so I highly recommend it. It even makes my complexion look brighter! And it's not overly matte, so as long as you don't have a lot of dead skin cells on your lips, it looks really beautiful. The staying power is also top-notch. Being matte, it doesn't transfer much to cups either. As a student, the price is a bit steep, which is a shame. Also, lip care is absolutely essential with this one! Here's how I manage my lip care: Before bed, after cleansing, I apply a generous amount of Vaseline to my lips. That's all there is to it! This tip is great not just for matte lipsticks, but for overall lip health and when wearing any type of lipstick. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 24, 2020
Color: A deep brick-red shade. When smudged, it turns into a beautiful red rose color. The color is truly gorgeous! It's a perfect match for those with deep undertones like me. Absolutely stunning! Application: While it felt a bit hard and stiff when swatching on my wrist, it surprisingly glided on smoothly on the lips! Staying power: Better than expected :) For 3-4 hours, I barely noticed any difference from when I first applied it. Even after drinking juice, it only faded slightly and mostly stayed intact - I was amazed! However, it does wear off significantly after a proper meal. Transfer: It transferred a tiny bit onto a tissue once, but after that, there was zero transfer. Personally, I highly recommend this product!! The quality is great, and the color is so sophisticated. Except for days when my lips weren't in good condition, I wore it 4-5 days a week. It's my second favorite lip product! It's extremely matte. Because of this, as time passes, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells on the lips. It also accentuates fine lines. I recommend applying plenty of lip balm before using this product. Everyone, please don't apply this product too heavily! Instead, apply a single layer to the inner part of your lips and then smudge it out. The smudged effect creates a much more atmospheric and beautiful color...
