It didn't cause any more blemishes! It also provided some soothing effect, and it felt like it was mostly hydrating without much oiliness. I'd recommend this for oily, blemish-prone skin. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I felt a bit of dryness under my eyes and on my cheeks! Of course, it was perfect when I only used basic skincare, but I felt it wasn't enough when I went out since sunscreen and foundation are a must for me. I'm not sure if it didn't work well with the hyaluronic acid toner I was using or if it just didn't pair well with my sunscreen, but it kept pilling like crazy when I applied makeup, which was really frustrating. Was it the magical collaboration of hyaluronic acid + gel-type cream + mineral sunscreen? The product itself was good, but I struggled a lot due to its compatibility with other products I was using at the time. For combination dehydrated skin, it might be good to use this along with a hydrating ampoule or a product that adds some richness to dry areas! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2019
Great value for money with a generous amount, long-lasting hydration, and excellent soothing effects. I have combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes and occasionally get extractions. After an extraction, I apply a generous amount of this Centella Essential before bed, and by morning, the redness has significantly reduced. True to Sidmool's reputation, the ingredients are top-notch. Unlike similar formulas that provide instant cooling but quickly dry out and leave skin feeling parched, this one maintains its hydrating effect for quite some time. The sticky texture might be a dealbreaker for those who dislike that feeling. Be cautious when applying in the morning before makeup - using even slightly too much can cause pilling... it pills like crazy. For pre-makeup application, use only a tiny amount. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 29, 2018
I suddenly had a breakout of pustular acne on my chin and cheeks, leaving many red marks. I applied this generously like a sleeping pack for a few evenings, and the redness significantly faded! Now, whenever my skin looks like it's about to flare up, I slather this on! Since aloe doesn't agree with my skin, I keep this Centella Essential on hand as an emergency treatment and use it liberally. If you apply too much, it can pill like dead skin cells. Other than that, I don't think there are any other drawbacks. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMar 2, 2018
This product is perfect for providing instant hydration and a cooling effect. It's also great for calming down inflamed acne. The reason this product was just average is that after the initial moisture evaporates, it starts to pill... It comes off like dead skin cells. Also, if I only apply this before bed, my skin feels dry the next morning... The hydration completely disappears, making me realize the need for an additional cream. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 4, 2018
It's lightweight and refreshing. I think this would be great for those with oily skin! When I apply makeup over this, it tends to pill like dead skin. As someone with dry skin, I find this alone isn't quite hydrating enough. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 19, 2018
I switched from aloe gel to this centella product hoping for better soothing effects. When I apply it generously after cleansing, it seems to reduce the sensation of heat on my skin. Due to its gel texture, if you apply too much before moving on to the next step in your routine, it can pill like dead skin cells. I've been using rosehip oil for scars, and when I mixed it with this Centella Essential, it seemed to improve the oil and moisture balance even more. I really liked the combination! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 24, 2017
It was just so-so. There was nothing particularly dramatic about the effects, and there were no troubles caused by it either. As it is a gel type, it feels refreshing to apply in the summer, and the amount is more than enough. I even apply it all over my body, but it doesn't seem to diminish. Some people say the lid is a bit weak, but I didn't have any issues with that. I thought it would just pill a little like other products, but the pilling is way too severe. When I rub it in, something like dead skin or dirt comes off on my hands, and I always have to pat it on carefully, which is quite a hassle. I use Sidmool Dr. Troub, Cellcure Mineral Soothing Toner, but it seems like there's an incompatible ingredient, so it just pills up so much. There's nothing particularly good about it, so I have no intention of repurchasing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 1, 2017
Comfortable feel, soothing effect on the skin While not fast-acting, consistent use shows skin recovery and fading of acne marks As it's a large volume, it can be used as a nighttime sleeping pack as well Has a scent that suits my preference(?) The most expensive among the Sidmool Essential line Tends to spread out when applied in large amounts Difficult to time the order due to the tube packaging, and hard to use up completely unless cut open So far, I've tried Aloe Essential, Galactomyces Essential, and Centella Essential, and this was the one I liked the most. The price is a bit on the higher side, but considering the volume, it's not overly expensive. It's very gentle and smooth to apply, and I can feel my skin becoming comfortable the moment I put it on. I used it particularly well in the summer. After working outdoors in the scorching summer heat, when my skin felt fatigued from the heat, I would wash my face, chill the Centella Essential in the fridge, and then apply it generously and fan my face to cool down the skin. The next day, my skin would feel wonderfully refreshed and soothed. The soothing effect is the best among the essentials I've tried so far. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 20, 2017
It's somewhat moist, I guess? It feels like they just made water a bit thicker. It's only moist when you first apply it, but it all just disappears. When you put on makeup, it just slides off and comes out like flakes. It's a mess... Well, since it flies off when you apply it, it doesn't seem good for dry skin types and dryness. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinAug 20, 2016
Well, it seems to be calming my skin, but when my skin is not in good condition, I find that applying it alone makes it better.ㅋㅋㅋㅋ I only use it alone when my skin is in good condition. When I layer it, it seems to be pilling up.ㅠㅠ It's pilling up like a residue. I should use it alone. I think it's best to use it alone. When I apply lotion on top, it pills up like a residue, not absorbing properly.
