Helps calm redness and blemishes to some extent. Satisfied with the mostly non-irritating ingredients that are good for soothing the skin. Lacks hydration, causing the skin to dry quickly and dead skin cells to appear. The inconvenience of having to apply frequently throughout the day. Storing it in the refrigerator and applying it cold seems to soothe the skin more quickly. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinSep 23, 2021
I keep it in the fridge, and the cooling effect is fantastic. It quickly calms down any heat sensation after cleansing. It dries quickly, leaving my skin feeling dehydrated. However, I found that applying a hydrating moisturizer immediately after helps counteract this issue. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 5, 2020
I desperately needed an extremely gentle product due to contact dermatitis caused by frequent exfoliation and mask-wearing. Looking at the ingredients, I bought this product because it seemed specialized for soothing and unlikely to cause side effects. While I'm not sure how effective it is for calming the skin, it didn't cause any adverse reactions. As you know, when your skin is irritated, avoiding side effects is already a win. In that sense, I recommend it. It has a soothing gel-like texture, which gives a slight cooling effect and glides on smoothly, making it feel like it's healing the skin, which I really liked. Everything's good, but it feels a bit sticky when it dries. It looks like a soothing gel, but it doesn't absorb completely, so my hair tends to stick to it a bit. This product alone isn't enough for hydration, so use hydrating products in the steps before and after. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 17, 2019
My skin was plagued with severe milia, forcing me to visit the dermatologist every two weeks for extraction treatments. However, my skin always seemed to revert back to its original state. Finally, I decided to completely overhaul my skincare routine and discovered this product through YouTube! Initially, I only used it on days when I exfoliated, but now I'm sharing my experience of using it daily right after cleansing for skin soothing purposes! It's fantastic for calming the skin. I've tried various aloe gels, but this seems to have a better soothing effect than most. I keep it refrigerated and apply it generously to my skin after washing, especially when it's flushed. After about 5-10 minutes, my skin feels significantly calmer! The product comes in a large size and is relatively affordable, making it a truly satisfying purchase. While it feels incredibly hydrating immediately after application, similar to an aloe gel, it dries quickly, making it difficult to use as a moisturizer alone. I recommend using it as a soothing treatment right after cleansing, letting it dry a bit, and then proceeding with the rest of your skincare routine. I learned this routine from YouTube: Once or twice a week: Cleanse > Exfoliate > Centella Essential > Sheet mask > (After thorough absorption and drying) Ampoule/Serum > Moisturizer For the rest of the week: Cleanse > Exfoliating toner > Centella Essential > Ampoule/Serum > Emulsion > Moisturizer This is the skincare routine I'm currently following! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 29, 2019
I have sensitive skin with redness and acne scars! This product helped me discover that Centella Asiatica extract works wonders for my skin! I always buy it when the weather starts getting warmer and use it from May to August. After using it for 4 months last year and 4 months this year, people have noticed that my scars have faded! It's not quite enough for fall and winter, so I tried mixing it with sea buckthorn oil, but that caused blemishes. Now I only use it from May to August, pairing it with green tea toner and this Centella essential. Unfortunately, I can't use it outside of summer. Since the volume is quite large, I apply it generously to avoid waste. Last year's product hardened and wouldn't come out easily, so I had to throw it away and buy a new one this year! I recommend this for dry and combination skin types, but only during summer! It's not sufficient for other seasons! However, it might work well if you apply ample hydration with toner and essence beforehand. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 18, 2019
I want to start by saying I've repurchased this 7 or 8 times, maybe more, and I'm still using it currently. I have combination dehydrated skin, and a few years ago, I had contact dermatitis and used steroid ointments long-term, which left my skin super sensitive and prone to blemishes. Using this along with Sidmool's Kakadu Plum Ampoule and Bonvivant Ampoule (discontinued), my skin has now recovered to be as normal as others in my age group. Additionally, I occasionally used La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 to create a protective barrier on extremely dry days. However, I don't recommend La Roche-Posay for daily use. Even with my oily skin, using it continuously for more than two days caused small bumps. Since my skin reacts badly even to BB cream alone, I mix the Cicaplast with BB cream in a 1:1 ratio, treating it more like makeup than skincare, and this method works well for me. In summer, my skin gets oily within an hour or two even without any products. In winter, while my skin feels tight and dry underneath, there's still oil on the surface. This product works well on its own in summer, but in winter, I definitely need additional hydration. Basically, this product has almost no oiliness. The hydration level isn't particularly high, and right after application, it feels a bit suffocating, like it's forming a film. However, rather than feeling like it's absorbing, it seems to evaporate as it dries, and it doesn't resolve deep dryness. It's a bit sticky before it dries completely, and the stickiness becomes unbearable if you layer it too much. The biggest issue seems to be that it doesn't feel like it's absorbing, but rather evaporating as it dries. It's a bit sticky at first, but it's fine once it dries. When layering, it gets so sticky that sometimes I have to wipe it off with damp hands after applying. In summer, applying it once was enough, but in winter, even applying it two or three times leaves my skin dry and tight both inside and out! Additional moisturizer is absolutely necessary. It worked well when used with ampoules except during extremely dry periods. However, recently, perhaps because it's such a dry and cold season, even though I'm using it with an oil toner and ampoule, I'm still struggling with dryness and dead skin cells. So, I'm currently looking for a more hydrating emulsion or cream. Just because it's gentle on the skin doesn't mean it helps with blemishes. It's literally just gentle, feeling like it doesn't do anything! In my experience, apart from being gentle, it doesn't seem to serve any skincare purpose. Unless you're someone who's so concerned about blemishes that it affects your daily life and self-esteem, I honestly don't think you need to buy Sidmool products. If your skin tolerates most cosmetics well, you should use better products. But for people like me who break out whether we use products or not, who are cosmetics nomads and feel depressed and frustrated, who can't not apply anything because our skin gets tight and cracked, but need to apply something - for us who need to grasp at straws, I think this might be worth buying. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 31, 2018
My skin tends to be super oily with some blemishes, and it can act up for no reason. I'm a skincare nomad - usually, products work well for 3-4 months, then suddenly they don't. Each time, I have to figure out what's wrong, stop using certain products, and try new ones. It's frustrating! But this one is different. I've been using it for about 2 years now. It doesn't cause any blemishes or pimples, and I'm so happy to have finally found something that works for me long-term! It feels moisturizing right after application, but then my skin feels like it dries out quickly. However, when I layer a hydrating cream on top, it doesn't seem to be an issue. After I get a facial peel or face waxing, I love to apply a generous amount of this and massage it in with an ice roller. It seems to really help calm my skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 20, 2018
Great for skin recovery. It quickly reduces blemishes and provides excellent hydration. While it feels smooth during application, it dries quickly afterwards (probably unavoidable due to its water-based formula). You can apply a toner spray or mist before layering other products. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 10, 2017
It seems to be good for my skin. The aloe essence didn't suit me, but this one works well for me. I'm not sure how many bottles I've used. It's moisturizing. It gets taut when it dries. If I use a lot, the next skincare product gets pushed away. I have to pat it in. It dries out like applying aloe, causing tightness. It replenishes moisture, and I need to apply a cream on top. I have oily skin. When I used the Sidmool Gomupak Ark? That, along with applying this, made my skin feel moisturized and good. It has a calming effect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 12, 2017
It's very smooth and gentle when applied. It's really mild. The ingredients are all good, so I expected a dramatic effect on my acne, but it didn't work as well as I thought. The amount is really a lot. The 165ml container is quite large. It lacks moisture. Even though it's an essence, there should be some moisture, but I'm not sure if my skin is dry or not, but there was no moisturizing effect. Also, it didn't absorb well. It felt like it was drying up and evaporating rather than absorbing.
