There's no standout benefit, but if you keep it in the fridge and use it cool, it does have a somewhat soothing effect. It's a gel formula, so I wouldn't recommend it for skin that doesn't agree with gel creams. Even with the centella ingredient, I felt like it was causing tiny bumps to appear. It's best used chilled from the refrigerator. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 10, 2020
What I liked was the pleasant fragrance and the moisturizing texture, which made it great for applying when I needed to soothe my skin. At first, I noticed my skin getting bumpier, and I thought it was because I'd been eating a lot of takeout lately. So I stopped ordering in and just kept using this product. But now I'm sure this is the problem. Thankfully, they're not inflamed whiteheads, but there are noticeable little bumps on my usually baby-smooth U-zone. I've never had such tiny bumps on my forehead before, and seeing them all over my face except the butterfly zone confirms it's this product. When I stopped using it and switched to a dive-in hyaluronic acid serum, the bumps started to subside. I was really shocked. I'm not sure which ingredient didn't agree with me, but just because a product has good ingredients doesn't mean it works for everyone. While no bumps appeared in the butterfly zone, I noticed the red marks there disappeared. It's good for soothing, but I'll pass because of the bumps. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 17, 2020
It absorbs well and has a nice cooling effect. The fragrance wasn't bad either. While it absorbs well, it feels sticky and drying after absorption. It seems this product doesn't suit me. I only added this to my existing skincare routine, but I developed pustules on my cheeks. After applying this product, my face feels hot, tingles, and turns red. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 20, 2020
The reviews and ratings were so positive that I decided to buy it without hesitation and used it for a month. The good points are... well, not much really. It's convenient to use? The packaging is user-friendly, I suppose... Even though I have blemish-prone skin, I've never had issues on my forehead. But after using this for a month, I developed small bumps there, and overall, my skin texture became much rougher compared to when I use regular toners and emulsions. I also got more blemishes... While it may work differently for various skin types, for me, this isn't a product I'd want to repurchase. If you use this product alone, it can sometimes absorb poorly. As others have suggested, it might be better to mix it with an oil or emulsion when applying. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 5, 2019
The gel texture absorbs quickly, and it contains 40% Centella Asiatica extract. My skin didn't seem to agree with it, as I developed some small bumps. This product made me realize that Centella Asiatica might not be suitable for me. Otherwise, the ingredients look decent. It may cause pilling if applied before makeup. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 21, 2019
Large quantity, absorbs well, gentle ingredients???? I guess it's true that even if the ingredients are good, it's all for nothing if it doesn't suit you... I bought this to use as a soothing cream after exfoliating and extracting for my milia, but since I had a skin treatment not long ago, I found it strange that the milia started popping up again. It seems this product might be the culprit.. Suddenly thinking 'Could it be?', I checked the reviews on Hwahae and Sidmool, and found others who, like me, experienced more milia. So I stopped using it yesterday, applied the TONYMOLY Green Tea Cream instead, and when I woke up this morning, all the bumps had calmed down. I guess I'll just have to use this mixed with a strongly scented body emulsion instead. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 1, 2019
The gel texture is perfect for use in the essence step of your skincare routine. Plus, you get a generous amount for the price! Unfortunately, I developed contact dermatitis from this product. My skin became red and bumpy, like mosquito bites. I stopped using it after just three days. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 11, 2018
The price isn't bad, but it just doesn't suit me well. I bought this based on recommendations from others. After cleansing thoroughly with oil, I applied it, and my face started burning. The next day, my skin completely broke out. My skin became so irritated that I couldn't even touch it with cleansing oil. I ended up returning both the oil and the essence. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 23, 2018
Great value for money with excellent ingredients! That's the biggest advantage of Sidmool. Unfortunately, I discovered that Centella Asiatica extract doesn't agree with my skin. After using it for a week, my face gradually became red and my small bumps turned into pustules, causing severe irritation. These days, Centella extract is popular for its anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects, so it's in most famous products. My skin couldn't handle it anymore... Sidmool is a brand that generously uses natural-derived ingredients (not necessarily irritating ones) - a good brand in my book! However, even with natural extracts that aren't typically irritating, it can be tricky to choose the right one. You only know if an ingredient doesn't suit you after trying it. Thanks to Sidmool, I learned that while I'm extremely sensitive to Centella, ingredients like propolis from honey work wonders for my skin! Once you find a natural ingredient that works for you, Sidmool truly offers the best bang for your buck. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 4, 2018
It's lightweight and refreshing. I think this would be great for those with oily skin! When I apply makeup over this, it tends to pill like dead skin. As someone with dry skin, I find this alone isn't quite hydrating enough.
