When I first saw it, the angular case with its sleek brand logo was incredibly attractive. The design is truly eye-catching at first glance. The cushion inside had a firm texture. The protective film inside had an interesting twist-off mechanism, which was honestly quite fun to open. After applying it for the first time, I noticed that despite my yellowish skin tone, it gave me a pinkish glow that instantly brightened my complexion. I was concerned about its longevity since I heard it might lack coverage due to its moisturizing properties. However, while it felt hydrating at first, it gradually set to a matte finish, providing impressive staying power. Even after going out at 11 AM and returning around 5-6 PM, there was no noticeable breakdown. With masks being essential these days, it barely transferred onto the mask. Although I was worried about blemishes due to some potentially problematic ingredients listed on Hwahae, my skin was fine even after 6-7 hours of wear. It performed well in photos too. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I initially thought it was fine when it felt moisturizing. However, as time passed and it became more matte, I realized it might be challenging for those with dry skin. Also, if you don't properly hydrate your face beforehand, it might not last as long. Since we wear masks, you tend to smell your makeup, and this has a slightly headache-inducing scent - it's subtle but somewhat strong. I wish the fragrance was less noticeable. The firm cushion made it a bit difficult to cover detailed areas like around the nose. While the firm cushion does allow for buildable coverage, it's not ideal for precise application. Even with a light touch, quite a bit of product comes out, so I'd recommend pressing very gently to get just the right amount. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 23, 2021
After using it consistently for about 3 days, I'm sharing my thoughts. The pink base cushion holds a lot of product in its holes, so one dab is enough to cover your whole face, which is great. The pink base makes your face look radiant, and it gives a nice glow. Usually, this type of base tends to transfer onto masks, but surprisingly, it didn't transfer much and had good staying power. The case itself seems to capture the essence of Harper's Bazaar magazine, giving it a chic vibe. This is the most disappointing and puzzling aspect for me. While cushion compacts are sometimes used as foundation alternatives these days, portability is still crucial. However, this one is too thick and angular, making it feel like it's only suitable for home use. I wonder why they chose this case design when there are so many other options available. Also, the scent is overpowering. It's too powdery, which seems unnecessary in these times when we're constantly wearing masks. I wish they had toned down the fragrance. The more you pat it in, the more it enhances your Inner Glow. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 22, 2021
The slightly pinkish beige tone does a great job covering redness! And the generous amount makes it great value for money. Plus, the star-shaped cushion design is absolutely adorable! As I have super sensitive skin, it seems this product didn't quite agree with me. After a while, it started to separate and felt a bit tingling. Also, the scent wasn't to my liking - I was taken aback when I first smelled it! It would be wonderful if it contained more skin-friendly ingredients. Since my skin tends to get dry quickly, I spray some toner on the puff and let it absorb before applying the product! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinDec 21, 2021
1. The case is gorgeous. - It's a square shape that fits perfectly in your hand. As soon as I opened the packaging, I was amazed at how beautifully designed it is. The color is lovely, and the Bazaar logo is engraved in just the right size. Honestly, even after using up the product, I'd never want to throw away this case. It gives off a luxury brand cushion vibe... (like that high-end feel of a NARS cushion.) - I was pleased to see the product seal was securely attached! Unlike sticker seals that can be easily removed and reattached without notice, and may not effectively protect the formula, this product has an aluminum seal that you twist off (like a tin can), which gave me peace of mind. 2. The formula is hydrating! - It applies moistly and then sets to a powder-like finish. When I touched my face a while after application, it felt as smooth as a baby's cheek! 3. No sticky or heavy feeling! - It creates a smooth and clean skin appearance. It barely transferred onto my mask. Even with multiple layers, it doesn't feel thick or suffocating.. 4. Excellent adherence - It doesn't seem to pill even when touching up! Of course, I applied it after meticulously layering my skincare. Not sure how it would perform when skin condition is poor. I'll try it out and update! 1. The scent...⁉️ - It's an unfamiliar fragrance, not typical of cosmetics. I'm not sure how to describe it. When wearing a mask after application, the scent lingers subtly... When first smelling it, it was a bit dizzying.. 2. The case is large - It feels heavy and bulky in your pocket. (But this is forgivable because it's so pretty) 3. The 21 shade is lighter compared to other products - I usually use 'Jung Saem Mool Cushion Fair Light shade' as my main cushion (around shade 21). However, Harper's Bazaar cushion in 21 felt a bit lighter than Jung Saem Mool's Fair Light. It seemed to float a bit on my skin? This might be due to its pink base. (I have autumn warm undertones🍂) For women like me with warm 22 skin tone, the 23 shade of this cushion might be more suitable~! * Update: After about 20-30 minutes, the formula becomes somewhat matte, and it seems to blend better with my skin tone....! Hmm, it looks like it might actually suit those with 22 deep undertones quite well,,,~! - Test the color before purchasing! - It might be better for summer use rather than winter~ - If you pack on the hydration in your skincare routine, you can achieve a baby-soft, smooth complexion - Hwahae UserCombination SkinDec 20, 2021
It's moderately moisturizing! So if you're expecting an extremely dewy finish because it's called a 'glow cushion', it might not meet your expectations..! But for someone like me who usually uses matte cushions, it felt quite hydrating! I think it even wore beautifully under a mask! My usual cushion would settle into the creases around my nose after a while, but this product seems to do that less! For a moisturizing cushion, it barely transfers onto masks!! Oh, and the shade seems to run a bit light!! I have an in-between skin tone that can use both 23 and 21, and this was slightly light for me!! It might be fine for those who usually use 21, but if you're like me with an ambiguous complexion, it might be good to check before buying haha The scent is off-putting... It's not just that they've added an artificial fragrance that doesn't suit my taste, it genuinely smells strange... There's a kind of 'factory smell' to it, which I really didn't like. Also, the coverage doesn't seem to be particularly impressive. It's not completely lacking, though! I think it's best to apply multiple thin layers!
