As someone with dry skin, I couldn't really feel that it was significantly more moisturizing compared to the Smart Skin Fit Cushion, and the coverage was noticeably lower. I didn't find any particular aspects to be positive. I think I'll buy the Smart Skin Fit Cushion Foundation next time. I couldn't really tell much difference in terms of coverage or hydration. Also, I have a deep undertone, but this cushion looked ashy and didn't match my skin at all. If you have dry skin, you'll need to pay extra attention to your skincare routine before using this. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinDec 30, 2021
I have warm undertones and typically use shade 22. My skin tends to be prone to redness and blemishes. This product is perfect for those seeking a lightweight formula that looks natural, like your own skin. ▪️Texture • It has a glowy finish with a thin, slightly matte texture. • Despite the 'Aqua' in its name, it doesn't feel overly hydrating for a cushion. • It adheres well to the skin and applies thinly. The sheer coverage allows your skin to peek through slightly, living up to its 'Skin Fit' name. • I was impressed by how it clung to my skin as I patted it on with the puff. • It gives a healthy-looking glow that's just right, not excessive. • Due to its thin application, it doesn't transfer much. ▪️Color • It has a pink base, which appears quite rosy on warm skin tones. • For a shade 21, it's quite bright. As someone with shade 22 warm undertones, it looked a bit mask-like on me. • The coverage is minimal. It mainly evens out the complexion rather than covering spots. Although it's called a glow cushion, it's less dewy than expected and has a semi-matte finish. The coverage is just average. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 24, 2021
Design First off, the cushion design is absolutely gorgeous! The angular case is unique and totally won me over. Radiance and Hydration I love a bright, radiant look, so I went for shade 21. With its pink base, it gives a luminous complexion while adhering to the skin with a dewy finish. In winter, I tend to reach for cushions like the Aqua Skin Fit that apply smoothly and offer a glossy finish, rather than matte foundations. It's perfect for use in this cold weather without causing any dryness. Design It's both a pro and a con. Compared to round cushions, it takes up more space, making it a bit too large for my everyday makeup pouch. Shade and Oxidation Shade 21 is whiter than expected, and applying too much can make it look cakey, so controlling the amount is crucial. Also, while it starts off with a pretty pink tone, it oxidizes to an ashy color over time. Coverage and Longevity The coverage is somewhat lacking. This seems unavoidable with hydrating foundations. If you want to conceal blemishes or dark spots, a concealer is a must. Due to the low coverage, the longevity suffers as well. By evening, it's almost half worn off. Transfer to Mask It tends to transfer onto masks quite easily. Setting powder is essential as the final step in your makeup routine. For best results, carefully conceal any blemishes or dark spots with a concealer, then apply a thin layer of the cushion, and finish with a setting powder. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 24, 2021
True to its name 'Aqua Fit', this product was wonderfully hydrating, both during and after application. It left a subtle glow that gave my skin a luxurious look. The color is a pink-based ivory that brightens the complexion beautifully. I usually use Clio's luminous cushion, and this one has a slightly more matte pink-beige tone, which I didn't mind. There was hardly any darkening or pore emphasis afterwards, making it a perfect match for my skin. The coverage isn't very strong, so it might not suit those needing more concealment. Also, I found it uniquely challenging to control the amount of product. Applying too much resulted in an oddly matte appearance, and the product itself felt a bit heavy on the skin, making makeup application tricky. However, despite the matte look, it doesn't feel drying. The surface may appear matte, but underneath, the skin feels hydrated. It's best to minimize your base makeup with this product! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 24, 2021
The case definitely exudes a high-end feel. The built-in mirror is large, making it convenient for touch-ups, and I loved the cushion's perforations. I have dry skin, but when I apply this after a thorough skincare routine, I don't experience any deep dryness! It adheres perfectly to the skin, leaving no traces on my mask. I tend to apply products thinly, so that might be a factor, but compared to other products, it has superior adherence and doesn't require powder touch-ups. As you can see from my hand swatch, it has a subtle sheen. It's not a dewy finish, but rather a soft glow that still looks matte, which I appreciate. My skin is somewhat sensitive, but I didn't experience any reactions after application! A concealer is essential if you want to cover blemishes. While it evens out the skin tone, it doesn't hide freckles or moles. Although I didn't feel any deep dryness initially, as time passed, it did become dry, emphasizing dead skin cells and settling slightly into areas like smile lines. The cushion is a bit thick and round, which made it somewhat awkward to apply in areas like the sides of the nose. This would be great for those with oily skin as it doesn't transfer onto masks. I even gave one to my mother who has oily skin! For best results, exfoliate and apply a good skincare base before using this product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 24, 2021
It stays moisturizing and barely breaks down even after hours. I didn't need to touch up except for my nose area during two weeks at work! It doesn't seem to cover blemishes well. While it doesn't break down, I feel a bit of dryness, probably because my skin is naturally dry. I've applied 'Jung Saem Mool Nueu Cushion Fair Life' on my left arm and 'Harper's Bazaar Aqua Skin Fit Cushion' on the other. Use this as a reference for color selection. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 24, 2021
I have combination dehydrated skin with acne! I often struggle with deep dryness and small bumps. I only get a few inflammatory blemishes during my period. Due to many acne scars, I prioritize coverage when applying makeup. ✔️Great pore coverage It filled in my pores better than any cushion or foundation I've tried before. To be honest, I don't feel there are many other advantages beyond this. ✔️Poor coverage I felt it barely covered anything. As you can see in the photo, it didn't conceal the redness under my nose at all. ✔️Dries out quickly It felt moisturizing when first applied, but after a short while, my U-zone felt extremely dry. ✔️The case is too bulky to fit comfortably in my bag ✔️Not great ingredients It doesn't seem suitable for skin concerned with blemishes. ✔️Somewhat pricey While I was lucky to win this in an event, considering the value for money, the price seems a bit steep for regular purchase. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinDec 24, 2021
Hydration is top-notch! It has a cooling effect that can lower your skin temperature. Highly recommended for those who love a brightening effect on their face. I always use shade 21, so I went for it this time too. But oh my... I turned into a ghost! It made me way too pale. It does get a bit better over time. As for coverage, well... it's a hydrating product, so I didn't expect much. And yes, don't expect much. Mask transfer is inevitable due to its hydrating nature. I'm sorry, but I don't have any specific tips for this product... Oh, actually, it might work well as a highlighter! - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 24, 2021
I first tried it over makeup at night, and wow, it created a thin yet luxurious-looking skin finish. On bare skin, it gave a light and natural complexion. The fine particles adhere smoothly without looking cakey, creating a radiant and thin layer. It leaves a soft, pink-beige finish. If you have oily or combination skin and want a thin skin-like finish for touch-ups, give this a try! As someone with extremely dry skin, I wouldn't say it felt super hydrating. This product seems suitable for most skin types without much discrimination. It doesn't feel drying or harsh on dry skin. Even when applied to bare skin without skincare, it didn't feel dry. The texture feels powdery soft when applying, and after a while, there's a slight dewy finish? While it's not heavy coverage, it evens out the skin tone, so I didn't feel the need for extra concealing. If needed, you can always use a concealer. I was impressed when I first applied it over makeup, so I think I'll often use it that way. I'd recommend it to those who dislike heavy makeup. If you want a non-drying, thin layer that seems to fill in imperfections, give this a try. It doesn't feel like a cheap cushion (which is actually what I prefer). - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 24, 2021
I received this as part of The Hwahae Testers program, but I'll be honest in my review. I'd like to give it 3.5 stars, but since that's not an option, I'm going with 4. For context, I have huge pores, dry skin, and I'm a winter cool tone. Color: The pink undertone of this foundation gives a radiant look. If you don't have visible pores or blemishes, you'll likely love how lightweight it feels. Compared to my Estée Lauder Futurist in Porcelain, this one appears a bit brighter. Hydration: It's moisturizing and doesn't cause any tightness. Adherence: Although it's a cushion, the brush works better. I recommend applying with the brush first, then patting with the puff. If done correctly, you'll get a beautiful glow. However, if you dip too much and pat heavily, it can emphasize pores. It might have a tendency to slide around. The coverage is a bit lacking. It's so sheer that even freckles slightly show through. Being a hydrating foundation, it doesn't feel heavy, but the trade-off is less coverage. Pore coverage: Even after applying Benefit's primer, it doesn't completely conceal pores. It seems a matte foundation might be necessary for perfect pore coverage. If you don't control the amount well, you might end up looking like volcanic rock. Even with primer, the foundation can sink into pores, making them more noticeable. However, with proper application, you can achieve a light, translucent makeup look. I'd recommend this for light makeup in the current mask-wearing situation, especially in dry and cold weather. Use the brush! Brush against the direction of peach fuzz, then finish with the puff. Pore-conscious folks, remember: avoid using just the puff. The last photo with the purple outfit shows how it looks after 4 hours of wear without touch-ups.
